What led me to write this review was that a newer technician cured excess gel onto my skin during my Gel-X application, leaving my skin attached to my nail. This is a serious safety concern and may increase the risk of developing a gel allergy. I also left with several small cuts around my cuticles from filing, and the curing process caused significant burning. I wish I had spoken up during my appointment, but I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously and places greater emphasis on safer application practices moving forward. It's disappointing that the quality of the experience seems to depend heavily on which technician you are scheduled with, because the salon itself is very cute and in a great location.

He did different things on both of my feet and hands and seemed like he was making it up as he went along. He left paint on my fingers and ground the gel remover tool very hard into my nails. He would grab my hand and move the warmer so quickly that my nails would bump the sides. He kept wanting to file my nails after he painted them until I stopped the process.

My nails are not straight, point in several different directions, are all different lengths, and my cuticles are bloody and raw. When I (politely!) asked if there was a possibility of a discount for the damaged nail at the end of the appointment, I was told to talk to who I believe was the owner or supervisor, I showed her the picture of the nail I was referring to (just solid color, stiletto shaped-- nothing fancy!) and she showed it to another customer who rudely and unwelcomly decided to comment on the situation. She INSISTED on PULLING out a hangnail in my big toe. When I say insisted, I told her repeatedly to stop and leave it alone just paint my toenail because it hurt and she was hurting me.
