I just returned for a Christmas gel manicure last week. Tressie did a great job. The manicures here are always well done & last 3+ weeks. My only negative is that they tack on a $3 sanitation fee to every bill, and that was added during the pandemic, which was understandable when they went above and beyond with what they had to buy for safety and cleanliness. But sanitation is the nature of a salon business so I wish that that extra $3 fee was not still on there because sometimes it's added into the final price I'm given and I've tipped on it, which in my opinion is not right. I was also surprised that it was an extra $7 for cat eye gel. I do totally understand the extra for nail art, but waving a magnet in front of your nail for a nano-second, $7 seems a little excessive. But I'm guessing it's because that polish costs more than regular gel. Anyway they do a great job here, but they are pricier than other salons in the area. I advise booking well in advance for holidays especially, as finding a walk in slot here is tough.

Some friends of mine go to a salon in Lawrenceville and rave about both the salon itself but also how much they prefer it to dip or acrylic. I wanted to find somewhere closer to my office but was having trouble finding a place that understood what I was asking for (ie, not a gel manicure, but this hard gel). I stumbled on Elle's Beauty Bar during my search and went to the website to see what I could find out. The website was extremely helpful; it explained the different services and what each consisted of. FINALLY!! I made an appointment for a mani/pedi. When I got there, everyone was super friendly, even the other patrons. Kristina did my manicure. I explained as best I could what I was interested in trying. She explained what it was and answered my questions. That done, I showed her a picture of what I wanted to try: a French manicure with each finger a different neon. She was all for it, and we picked out the colors. She asked to see the pic again, and I showed her. I didn't even notice at the time, but later I realized she looked at the photo for like 30 seconds and copied it EXACTLY. The order of the colors on my hand is the same as the photo! I just thought she did it randomly and it totally didn't matter to me either way. What attention to detail!! I love the way they turned out!! Fast forward - I was unable to get back to the salon for a whopping FIVE weeks. And while the mani wasn't looking 100% at that point, it had only completely chipped off of one nail. This was 100% my fault for waiting so long, but I was impressed with how good they still looked, all things considered. I've been back twice since my first visit, and I'm sold. The ladies here are lovely, easy to chat with, and the manicure does not disappoint. Highly recommend this gem tucked away in Cranberry!!

I've recently been obsessed with their structure gel. I've gotten it 3 times within the past 3 months. What led me to write this review was that a newer technician cured excess gel onto my skin during my Gel-X application, leaving my skin attached to my nail. This is a serious safety concern and may increase the risk of developing a gel allergy. I also left with several small cuts around my cuticles from filing, and the curing process caused significant burning. I wish I had spoken up during my appointment, but I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously and places greater emphasis on safer application practices moving forward. It's disappointing that the quality of the experience seems to depend heavily on which technician you are scheduled with, because the salon itself is very cute and in a great location.

I wouldn't realize this until today, I returned to him for a fill and he started just started filing and left the same color on my nails. I stopped him explaining I wanted the clear dip filled and he said no you pay to remove we did color dip last time. After, a different lady ended up doing the rest of the service and did an awful job filing as well. My nails are not straight, point in several different directions, are all different lengths, and my cuticles are bloody and raw. When I (politely!) asked if there was a possibility of a discount for the damaged nail at the end of the appointment, I was told to talk to who I believe was the owner or supervisor, I showed her the picture of the nail I was referring to (just solid color, stiletto shaped-- nothing fancy!) and she showed it to another customer who rudely and unwelcomly decided to comment on the situation. She INSISTED on PULLING out a hangnail in my big toe. When I say insisted, I told her repeatedly to stop and leave it alone just paint my toenail because it hurt and she was hurting me.
