I went in today for a routine acrylic fill and was extremely unhappy with the results. An older lady filed the old acrylic off and she wasn't paying attention and almost filed a hole through to my nail bed. After, a different lady ended up doing the rest of the service and did an awful job filing as well. My nails are not straight, point in several different directions, are all different lengths, and my cuticles are bloody and raw. When I (politely!) asked if there was a possibility of a discount for the damaged nail at the end of the appointment, I was told to talk to who I believe was the owner or supervisor, I showed her the picture of the nail I was referring to (just solid color, stiletto shaped-- nothing fancy!) and she showed it to another customer who rudely and unwelcomly decided to comment on the situation. I walked out with no discount or offer to at least fix the horrendous nail job they provided. Highly do not recommend their services and they are rushed and unprofessional. read more

Never see Helen. Went there to get a pedicure with my sisters for vacation. I've had an ingrown toenail that hadn't given me any issues so I told Helen not to mess with it. She INSISTED on PULLING out a hangnail in my big toe. When I say insisted, I told her repeatedly to stop and leave it alone just paint my toenail because it hurt and she was hurting me. She did it anyway... Long story short, it bled and became swollen and extremely irritated. I cleaned it, soaked it, but it's still so irritated I think I have to go to the doctor to get it looked at. read more

Gel should last more than 3 days. My only guess is that it was not properly cured. The person doing my nails painted 2 nails at a time with briefer than normal times under the light in between. I didn't question it, because I thought they must know what they are doing. read more

I am not someone to put my complaints on here, but I have a doozy. I am asking everyone to boycott 1st Nails at Point Plaza. Here's the story. After getting x rays today I decided to treat my mother to a pedicure. So, Donna Savannah, mom ( Marilyn Tynan), and I made an appointment and went to 1st Nails. After walking in and being told to pick our colors another employee came to us in front of everyone in the salon and said they would only do Donna and could not do a pedicure on me and my mother because of our weight. I was flabbergasted and repeated what she said, and told her how ignorant that was. She tried to backtrack and say she was kidding, then said she didn't say that. Then said she was kidding again. I was so upset I was shaking. Trust me I got loud and let them know. We then went to Diamond Nails beside Kohl's and they gave us the royal treatment. Please share this and boycott 1st Nails. read more

I'm always happy with the results I get with a pedicure. The women who work there are all lovely, very professional and great at what they do. The pedi experience is always relaxing and they take good care. I've had several manis there also (gel) and always been happy. read more

Forget about making an appointment. It means nothing. Twice now I've made an appt for my daughters and I to have pedicures done at a set time as mother - daughter event. And both times we waited twenty minutes past our appt time. No apology. No discount. And the one woman kept stopping to text on her phone. There are plenty of other salons around. I've been coming to this spot for a while now since moving to Butler, and it's been enjoyable. The language barrier is not to much of an issue, but I can definitely find other salons less then five miles away who can do just as good of a job (example acrylics ) for 10-15$ cheaper. Their hours are also decent but they are closed Monday's and Sunday's which I find a bit annoying. read more

While in town for a visit, I drop in at 1st nails to get a pedicure. I was a walk-in and the place was busy, but I was in a pedi chair soaking/relaxing within minutes. This place is by far my favorite nail salon in the Butler area! I have tried several other nail salons in the area, and they all disappointed. 1st Nails was clean, and had a fresh smell inside. The nail tech I had was polite and did a fantastic job on my pedicure! I typically go for a pedicure to relax and get a new nail color on my toes for the Summer. Made an appt. which was useless - almost 25 minutes after appt. time, my daughter was squeezed in - she was getting a full set of nails for homecoming. When she was done, I was floored at how bad they were. Of course I'm not going to say anything in front of her - this was her first time getting a full set and was just happy to have them. They were crooked, looked like crap underneath - she did complain her skin was stuck to some of them. I've been here before and have good service, but they were understaffed for a Saturday of homecoming and just rushed us out the door. I won't be back, plenty of other options! read more

I am very disappointed in my recent visit. Since this is a busy time of year, Christmas, I had made an appointment one week prior to my visit. When I arrived they were running behind which is normal. I was there just to get a gel polish. Not even a manicure, just a polish. When it was finally my turn the girl who did my nails did it so quickly she put the gel on too thick and didn't give my nails enough time to "cure" under the lamp. The gel polish, which should be hard to get off, is already peeling two days later. This is very disappointing as this is something I only do for special times of the year. Now my nails are a mess for Christmas instead of pretty painted nails which I paid for. As a customer I feel that just because I am not a "regular" or because I'm not getting acrylic nails which takes longer to do, I should still be treated like a paying customer and deserve quality work. I understand this is a busy time of year however EVERY client should be treated equally. If there isn't enough time then don't take so many appointments. read more
