Showed up at 5:45pm with my best friend to get pedicures and their door was locked. A girl inside looked extremely annoyed and opened the door giving us attitude. We asked if they take walk-ins and she responded "we do but we are about to close." It is a cute place, right next to a wine bar so I thought it may be a fun girls day treat sometime, but I was disappointed with my customer service. I got a blowout and was seated in the back of the salon by the hair wash station, with no view or mirror in front of me. I went back for a protein treatment and was finessed by the person assisting me to finish the treatment off by myself at home. The option was for her to comb, style, and dry my hair there, or go home with an extra product and do all that myself after using the extra product. She did not even comb my hair, told me to comb my hair when I got home. I realized she wanted me to go home with the extra product, so she wouldn't have to comb, blow dry and style my hair even though it was part of the paid for service. read more

Maybe my bar is set too high with more standards but I was very disappointed . I have had spa treatments all around the US, Mexico and Caribbean. I spent over $450 as a treat of pampering for my daughter and soon to be daughter in law . Drinks are served in Plastic not in the glass that are hanging above the bar and in the pictures on line . They were very confused as to who in our group was getting what even after checking in and telling them the names of each and what treatment . However, the deal that killed the mood was my relaxing facial was a bust as the lash tech next door had loud blaring music and loud chatter , laughing the whole time . The room had sliding doors and was not sound proof at all . Very poor planning on management ! I had to ask that the steamer be left on the whole time to drown out the loud noise . My tech suggested she turn up the music to help drown out loud loud conversation - when actually what she should have done was excuse herself and knocked on the door next door and told them to keep the noise down or else summon a manager to address this issue . I do not blame her - her facial was nice but The Whole experience was ruined when I really wanted to bang on the wall the whole 50 minutes for the guests and the employee TO BE QUIET !!! Instead of traveling to our favorite of THE HYATTT BEAVER CREEK or even the Aveda Spa in Highlands Ranch we needed to stay local for time constraints so we decided to try here and I was very disappointed . read more

Do Not Try especially if you are colored. This place is low on everything. I was excited to find a spa that offered all the services they do but after paying for 4 different services I will never go here again. Unfortunately I am locked in a 3 month membership and am required to pay $75 a month til my 3rd month then I can get out. I regularly get my nails dipped I tried having them done here and it was the worst nail experience. It hurt, I was bleeding and my nails looked horrible at the end like a 5 year old did them. They promised to reimburse me but never did. They did offer to fix my nails if I waited 8 days for an appointment. I waited over an hour for my included membership beverage but every non colored person to walk in was immediately served. I communicated with them serval times to get out of my membership even offered to pay upfront to get out early. They stopped communicating and started running my card at 1am for the charges. It was apparent everytime I went to Glosshouz they do not know how to treat people of color from the comments the workers would make about my clothes to the service/treatment given.The owner has responded telling me I am wrong. Interesting how the owner can tell me I'm wrong for her employees unprofessional behavior/service. For you to tell me that I'm wrong because your employees blatantly treated me differently when the only difference between me and everybody else was my skin tone. Her response on their website to my review only further shows their treatment towards people of color. read more

Well, first and foremost, the place is simply GORGEOUS. You walk in and there's this bright, airy feel about the place. All the decor is whites and silvers and I felt immediately at home (which is a pretty high bar form e, since I've had so many visits to Vegas spas and salons). I was greeted by the owner, Loni, who was kind and friendly, and she went over all the services offered and gave me a tour. I was very impressed and decided to try a couple services, so I went with a mani/pedi and a massage. (NOTE: They do accept walk-ins, but it's probably much easier on you and the staff to schedule appointments :) ) My mani/pedi was done by Jamie, who was super friendly and fun. She gave me some really great tips about getting my cracked heel under control and was sooo professional. I've had horror stories where the pedicurist will just grab your legs and force them this way or that but Jamie was communicative and gentle. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I really wish I had read the reviews before going to Glosshouz. The reviews complaining about the bad business practices and the management are true. I really wanted to like it. The space is clean and nice. The staff is nice, but don't exude competency like most salons in Denver. I went in to get my base retouched and a balayage and showed the stylist the photo. I was seated facing a wall, no mirror. Red Flag #1. I have been getting ombre/balayage for a long time so I was expecting to talk about what was possible without damaging my hair - never happened. The stylist frequently checked a swatch chart (which I haven't seen at a salon in years). Red Flag #2. The stylist was so sweet but made a few distasteful comments about China and Chinese people. Specifically said she wouldn't get a mask that was made in China because she didn't want anything from "those people". I should've walked out then and I'm so sorry I didn't. Red Flag #3. After rinsing I notice my ends are rubbery and mushy. I asked the stylist if my hair was in bad shape and she said "it's just a little dry but there's no major breakage." She did go over the allotted time to do my base and they did fit me in for a facial. Everyone was really nice (while they were getting more money from me for additional services and the benefits program). The facial was nothing spectacular and my skin has felt off ever since. I typically use Drunk Elephant and La Mer products and have good skin. Not anymore. I wake up the next day and it's just too light. Literally white blonde ends (when the photo i showed the stylist was more light brown and cooler tones). I was able to get into my regular salon for a toner and when my stylist rinses my hair (before the toner) the ends turn to mush and break off as you lightly pull on them. Both my stylist and the manager didn't feel comfortable giving me the toner without a haircut and without me giving Glosshouz the opportunity to correct the issue. So I pack up and drive to Glosshouz with wet hair. The manager Loni is there and I have never in my life been treated so poorly by anyone. She is unwilling to acknowledge the damage of my hair and tells me "it's not that bad. it's normal." She threw it in my face that they spent all day with me (for services I paid for, but ok). She said I seemed happy when I left so what was I expecting. I said i was happy...until my hair started breaking off. It was like talking to a robot on repeat. She just kept repeating the same 3 lines, which based on her copy/paste responses to every review on here is what she'll do in her response to this review. I'll save you some time Loni, no I don't want to call or email you and yes you more than "missed the mark". She refused to give me a refund, to correct the situation and now I'm stuck paying the benefits program for 90 days for services i'll never use. So disappointed! I wanted to love this place and was hoping it was just the one bad (hair) experience. Unfortunately, after trying a facial and a massage, I will not be returning. My 1st experience using a spa service was getting a signature facial. The facialist was great, but they were running behind and the facialist also told me that I was put in a room meant for massages not facials. She explained the difference is that the room we were in was smaller and she didnt have all the tools needed for my facial as well as the bed was different. This bothered me considering I paid for the same quality of service as anyone else and got sub-par accommodations. The fact that the owner was there and knew this is disheartening. A smart and savvy business owner would have apologized and offered an explanation and/or a discount (which didn't happen). My second experience, was booking two body wraps at the same time so my sister and I could get them together (in same room). I just had a baby a month ago and on the day of our appointments, my skin was still acting up so I asked the front desk girl if I could change mine to a massage instead since I really needed one. Loni the owner, was standing right there and told the girl that they didnt have a massage therapist available (I will add, she didnt even acknowledge that I was standing there, super professional ). So I said to the girl, that's okay, at least there is a somewhat massage included with the wrap, when lotion gets massaged into the skin at the end (per the description on the website). The girl then said no, they dont apply any lotion and no massage is included. Wow, off to a great start. We then get into the room and that same girl comes in and I mention that I am uncomfortable with this situation. I advised her that I booked this service on the basis of what the description gives online, she then says that she actually has never seen it and also tells me she's a stand in for another employee, has only done this to one other person before (a co worker) and this isnt even her specialty. At this point I refuse to get the service done considering they charge $130 for a wrap. The employee leaves, than a different employee comes in advising she is a massage therapist and was not informed, until just now, that her services were needed. I proceed to get a nice massage but it almost didn't happen thanks to the owner wanting her to cover phones rather than take care of a paying customer. The owner, as mentioned in several other reviews, clearly doesn't have her clients best interest in mind. She wants to charge high-end spa prices for low quality service. The employees who work for her are the only reason the services I received weren't a complete disaster. For the sake of those employees, I hope she gets her act together before the place shuts down. read more

Absolutely in love!! Went in with my mom to get her hair colored and high lighted and I decided while I was here I might as well get my hair washed and styled! They got me in super quick and i got Stephie as my stylist. She was absolutely the sweetest person ever! Not only did she totally do my hair exactly like I wanted it; she was great company and made the time fly by. I just went in for lash extensions and paid for the service before I left of course. Once I got home I was charged $5 for BFF membership which I did not agree to or authorize. I did have a membership 2 years ago but cancelled it after my daughter passed. i have had lash extensions done a few times last year and today and never charged the fee. I called and the person that answered was rude and was telling me it was a charge that was unpaid from 2 years ago. She was unrelenting when I tried to explain I have been going in several times after my 2 year break and was rude telling me she could tell her manager but the manager will tell me the same. It is not the $5 but the principal of it. Needless to say I will no longer go in ever again!!!! read more

Wow! The salon and spa is gorgeous. They have thought of every detail in the decor and experience. I had my lashes done today by Virginia and I couldn't be more pleased. She did a wonderful job, exactly what I wanted and in a timely fashion. The treatment rooms are small, but the chair I was in today was amazingly comfortable and heated! Can't wait to go back. My daughter gave me a gift card for a mani-pedi at Ella Bliss - looking forward I booked at the nearest (Highlands Ranch) location. When I arrived I was told I had booked at Greenwood Village - and needed go there. I had an appointment later and didn't think I could get to it in time. The girl behind the desk and manager were unconcerned, undeterred & unable to accommodate me. The said the "best thing for me" would be to go to their other salon which was 25 min. away. If I canceled I would loose 50% of the value of my gift card. I managed to get there 1/2 hour late and the technician at Greenwood was understanding and said it happens all the time. I suggested they remind their customers where they have booked. The set up in Greenwood Village salon is very dangerous for pedicures. There is a small boxed in steep step about as big as my foot to step up into the chair and after I was finished and had the thin foam thongs put on my feet I slipped and fell getting down. My pedicure was ruined on one foot and had to be redone. I was late to my next appointment that was clear across town. It was not a good day! My manicure lasted four days, my big toe is beginning to heal from where the technician scraped during the pedicure. Every time I change the band aid I think of my horrible experience at Ella Bliss. read more

Nothing is memorable at glosshouz. I got a pedicure and it only lasted about a week and a half. I feel like you pay a premium here because its a "different" type of "spa" environment, but to be honest I felt like it was lacking. The chairs are not comfortable nor do they have massagers in them. The bowl of water gets could because there are no jets. Everything seems to be an extra fee. then at the end they try to rope you into a membership... I hate being upsold after I overpaid for a subpar manicure and pedicure. Interesting idea... but I'll stick to the classic nail experience elsewhere. read more

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR FACE SCREWED UP FOR MONTHS. I have had two bad experiences here that have caused me to never go back. The first one was I referred one of my friends and their Botox girl Jessica was extremely rude to her. They did nothing to make it right. The second one was about five days ago when I went in to get Botox with Caroline. Tomorrow is my birthday and my right eyebrow is significantly higher than my left eyebrow it is so embarrassing I wish I would've never gotten it done. I have been awake for multiple nights now with massive anxiety over my messed up face. I called and asked them what I could do and I said nothing they can't do anything for two weeks. Happy birthday to me! I have one eyebrow raised and one straight across. I cannot believe how asymmetrical and screwed up my face is, I'm considering cutting bangs I don't know what to do. This place is gorgeous, but the service was not what I expected. I pre-booked a 70 minute facial, and it wasn't even 70 minutes long. They brought me out late, and ended it early. No extractions, and they didn't ask me anything about my skin or what I was looking for (which is pretty normal to me in the world of facials). I would give this place a zero star if I could. Glosshouz used to be my place go to when I was in Colorado. I liked this place until days ago I found out they still keep charging my membership fee in past 8 months since I canceled my membership because I moved out of CO on last September. Talked to a girl on the phone she said they cannot refund me and they couldn't find the record of me canceling my membership. I went to the store on 08/29/2021 and had an appointment with Anjanette and she led me to the front desk when my eyelashes extension session was done and I filled out the cancellation form and handed to the front desk ladies. They even greeted me for my moving to CA. Months passed the girl from the call said ' I know it happens ppl forgot to cancel their memberships and insisted they did to ask us to refund them'. WTH you were talking about are you saying i am a lier????. I reached to my bank as it's a dispute and hopefully I could get my money back and I will tell everyone I know who goes there still to let them know the STORY and how they treat their customers. read more

I hate to update my review, but after a year of going here and more than a few "spotty" experiences, I have decided not to return. I have had my hair done by multiple stylists and some are great (Julie, is no longer there), but I have also had my share of over bleached roots, color re-do's and much too much time in the chair. The last visit I had was horrible. I saw Destiny for a bialage color. Without going into crazy detail, she was not qualified to do this level of color. She had no sense of how to pick colors, asked me time and time again what colors to use (I have not been to cosmetology school and have no idea what a 7 or 9 is??). After an hour of testing, she lightened my roots more than the base color, had to re-do it....5 hours later, I left with my roots and color in tact, but so far from a professional experience. I felt like I went to a beauty, learning school, which is great if that's what you sign up for, but for $200 at this salon, that was NOT the case for me. I did write the owner and she responded by saying she was sorry. I said, I would honestly like a refund and she offered me services at the salon, but I will not return. There are too many great colorists out there to risk it again. I will take my business and hair elsewhere...anywhere really. The two stars is because I had a great massage with Willow. read more

Would not recommend this place at all! Went there for Botox and Fillers. Would never go again. The nurse told me and wrote down the number of units in the office and then when going to pay told the cashier a totally different number. I had to correct her which she then went back and looked at what she wrote down in the office with me. She came back out and told the cashier I was right. If I wasn't paying attention I would have been over charged. The register did not work and the cashier wanted to write my credit card number down on a post it note and let me leave without a receipt. Upon arrival we were greeted and offered a tour. The receptionist was nice but inexperienced. During the tour we were shown the relaxation room which we asked to sit in while we waited, this was the best part of our service. The relaxation room however is next to the break room which was filled with women enjoying their break as they should but it unfortunately was loud in the relaxation room. We were then taken to the pedicure station which is a row of uncomfortable, low back chairs with soaking tubs that do not have jets. The girl doing my pedicure lacked experience, and barely rubbed my feet at all. She also spent too much talking with others and making unprofessional comments. What ruined this experience entirely was the amount of girls chatting and FaceTiming at the front desk. Getting a spa treatment is a time that I expect to relax and not hear young girls gossiping and on their phones. Highly disappointed and will not return. Very unprofessional. read more

The Botox service I got was great but customer service is at its worst. I bought a membership at first and I have been trying to cancel it for the months now. At first - apparently they don't train their staff on policies. First 2 times - I was told It was cancelled over the phone. After the 3rd $75 charge - I was told I have to come in and fill out a form. So I did. Now I'm charged another $75 just to be told that it takes 30 days from the date on the form Im done. I don't care if I have free points for another Botox session or whatever. Not doing business with them nor recommend this place. I better not get another charge next month or i will report then to BBB read more
