After receiving one of the worst hair cuts of my life, I called the salon and asked to speak with the manager. The woman who answered told me she could take care of it because she "basically ran the place". She told me she would have the stylist call me to correct it. When I asked for someone different to fix my hair, she told me that she would handle it. A few hours later, the stylist who gave me the crummy haircut called me and offered to fix it. My hair was pretty light already and, it just needed to be raised up, and I said I wanted a cool tone, but I walked out of there with brassy hair, and I have never had my hair turn out so awful. Barb is an esthetician that I have used for about 18 years. If you want to feel pampered, get a peel, facial or any other services that she offers know that she's the best! In addition to the diverse services they offer the customer service is excellent which makes me feel special. Amy, the owner, does my hair and specializes in color. During Covid when their shop was closed, I ran out of a few products. Amy went to her shop picked them up for me and delivered the product to my front porch! Additionally, because Of my hormones, I started having issues with my hair and Opaplex No.3 was no longer helping. Amy started looking into other types of hair repair products and found K18 that I now use which is allowing me to lighten my hair again. Root dye all over my forehead, hairdresser next to me drones on about her horrible life for an hour and my stylist talked at me, asked me question about where I was from (Dallas) the proceeded to talk about her experience in Houston then asked me how I liked living in Houston. I had my first Colorado haircut here with Tara. She was very funny and we connected because we are both from the East Coast. She gave me a very cute haircut that I have been able to maintain outside of the salon. The only negative for me was the cost but it was my first salon try here and to be honest for the cut it was fine. $55 is rather steep for my budget, particularly when I need to get my haircut almost every two weeks to keep it short. Came in for a manicure and walked out with a nightmare. The staff is really nice but that's about it. I went in to get a normal manicure but then was pressured to get gel by the nail tech. I was uncomfortable with the idea but she kept pushing. At first they were fine but then my nails started to hurt. I googled online and every article I read said that was no normal. Yet when I called the salon they all were like it's fine when it obviously wasn't. They also had no real sense of urgency when I said my nails hurt. I got the gels off and the nail tech did my nails (normal manicure) for free. However, when I took off my polish, there were still clumps off gel left on my nail. On my pinky finger alone, there was a spot that looked like a pimple but was actually residue...like...what? The tech assured me she had gotten everything off, however, I had to kill my nails to get it off. If the nail tech had just listened to my request and not been so pushy and uncomfortable, then I would have perfectly healthy nails. Now, my nails are dry, brittle and hurt. read more

Just wanted to give a shout out to Janella Alderson! I've been coming to Lure for a while but have not been completely satisfied with haircuts from the stylist initially assigned to me. I asked for a new stylist and was assigned Janella, who said she had recently come to Lure. I showed her several pictures and shared my frustration. Janella truly listened. Then she took great care to give me a fabulous cut, adding a wealth of badly-needed texture to my fine hair and shortening it some on the top and sides so it would have more life and lift - exactly what I wanted. It's so wonderful to look in the mirror again and smile at my hair as I begin the day instead of frowning. It really makes a difference in my everyday life and confidence level. I waited for over 30 minutes from the start time of my appointment because there was miscommunication between the stylist and salon that I was actually PRESENT and WAITING to have my hair cut. Chayse cut my hair and did a great job, and I decided to give the salon another chance. Fast forward to a few months later. I booked a 4:15 appointment with Robyn at around 1:00 the same day. Let me start with I have been a hairdresser for 35 years, worked in many high end salons and run a very busy salon in my house now... I had been growing out a short haircut for 4 months and was looking for someone who above all is very precise. I read reviews on this salon and made the call. I told the receptionist all I cared about was a precision cut, I wanted the best they had. She recommended a stylist, I am leaving her name out as a professional. She was very nice and I can say I probably have done hair longer then she has been alive. Long story short my hair not only was scalped in the back, loosing my 4 months of growth it was also at least 1/2 - 1 " longer on one side. I called back the same day after I came home and had restyled it, she couldn't get me back in for 3 days... She tried to fix it but it is still uneven besides being scalped in the back... During this I new she had a great cut so I found out the owner Amy had done it. I called to plan ahead , upcoming family reunion and had made the appointment when I was ubruptly told she was not taking new clients and the receptionist would gladly recommend me another hairdresser. I did not want another recommendation from the receptionist and asked her to tell the owner what happened and requested a call back.. NO call back from Amy and that's the reason for the review. From start to end with this salon was a awful experience ... The owner obviously has other priorities then her staff or her customers.. read more

Im only giving it 1 star because if the person i went to ,Missy i went in with 18 inch hair and came out with it all broken off shoulder length.she over lapped all the high lights which s hair dresser should know not do.i got my hair fone gor 14 years in Florida by tje same person and never had a problem. One time is all it takes to break off years of hair growth ivr spent over 1200 in hair extentions in the past 3 months trying to fix her damage. I've worked here and come here as a client for numerous services over many years, including hair coloring, cuts, manicures and pedicures, facials, waxes, hair extensions, and eyelash extensions. I have only had one negative experience with getting my eyebrows microbladed by a new esthetician, which was overall a disappointing experience, but other than that it's been great. Today I had my first appointment with a new stylist scheduled for noon. When I showed up I was told my stylist was running 20 minutes behind. I was fine to wait. No one said a word to me after that, finally at 12:45 I went to the receptionist and told her I was unable to wait any longer. Her response was "I understand". I don't mind waiting, but the lack of communication is rude. Also, lost all confidence in a stylist running so late so early in the day. read more

I have visited Lure several times and it's a hit-or-miss. The nail and skin care groups are FANTASTIC, but the hair stylists could be better. I've always left a bit disappointed with my color or cut. The cost is a bit steep compared to the results. I'll pay these prices for good stylists downtown or Cherry Creek, but not here.
