Lots of clean, bright, white spaces. There's a refreshment bar! They only had cheese and crackers today, but they did have almond crackers. I decided to get lunch later. I was offered a generous sample of the hibiscus lemonade, but it was too sweet for me. The iced peach green tea was perfect. They offer wine and cocktails, too. I had to take an uber there and back because my car needs fixing, but a drink in daytime puts me to sleep. I was led to a beautiful waiting room with a fireplace, and then the lovely Misty came to get me. She is calm, smiling, and very professional. The eyelash procedure was very relaxing. She did a skin test to check the glue first, which I appreciate. This took a while, but my eyelashes look very natural and I do look slightly more awake. Puffy allergy eyes aren't helping. I was given a services menu and information on their membership program. They offer a huge variety of services! Misty also does facials. I may return for one. Glosshouz is a beautiful salon and the staff were very kind and welcoming. The space itself is stunning and has such a great vibe. That said, my lash lift and tint was honestly really disappointing. The appointment took forever, and for $125 I absolutely expected both top and bottom lashes to be done, but only the top were included. There was also a very noticeable gap (about 3mm) between my lash line and where the tint started, so you could clearly see my natural blonde lashes at the base. It genuinely looked like grown-out mascara instead of a fresh tint, which is not what you want after paying that much. The worst part was the next morning. Something (I assume leftover product) seemed to melt into my eye overnight and it burned so badly I had to flush my eyes out After that, the "perm" lost its shape and my lashes looked fluffy and uneven. Super disappointing because the salon itself is so cute. I might try nails or a facial in the future, but I definitely won't be booking lash services there again. read more

I have been working slowly to lighten my hair I started the process of healthy hair lightening since December. In March I was notified that my normal hair stylist was no longer with the company. They scheduled me with another stylist for my third hair appointment and my hair is not only a mess, I have lost so much hair. I spent almost $1,000 for my first 2 appointments On the third appointment I was told that they don't have formula notes for what they were doing to my hair previously. For $1000 there should be formula notes! In March my hair was healthy! After dying my hair, she brushed it and blow dried my hair to which it was extremely noticeable to both of us that my hair was falling out. It was also apparent that all of my gray roots were still showing. She wanted me to come back in a week to fix the gray hair. To which I said no. I paid and left upset and defeated. If I wanted ruined hair I would not have been doing this in stages at an expensive price point. I was told not to put any heat on my hair for a week. I wash my hair after 5 days and I had to clean my brush 3 times because the brush was full of damaged hair. I paid another almost $500 for this! I emailed the owner and asked for her to cancel my membership, she responded and said she would look into it and the next week my credit card was charged again. When I called the salon they didn't refund my money nor give me a refund for my damaged hair I tried not to post this review but this is my hair still falling out after each brush stroke after 3 weeks Do not sign up for a membership here. read more

I had my brows done by Ana and unfortunately she did cut me with the tweezers. Not gonna post that picture because she apologized. I had a wonderful wash and press by a really nice lady but I forgot her name, probably because she didn't hurt me; hahaha. Anyway, I'm writing now to compliment the two ladies that took care of our pedicures tonight. That's Domenike and Megan. They were funny, knowledgeable and generous. We will definitely be back for additional services and I would ask for Ana again because even with the small cut she got my brows just the way I like them. My Husband gifted me a mini spa day for me and my best friend. The day of our spa treatment a manager reached out to let me know they did not have massage therapists booked and that someone "should" have reached out to confirm the booking. My husband booked the mini spa online 1.5 weeks prior to the treatment day so I questioned why we were being contacted the day of the treatment. When I "almost" gave up the manager was so kind to offer two free complimentary facials. I had everything confirmed and called back to let her know we would like to book the mini spa day along with two complementary facials for a different day one month later. The day of our spa treatment arrived a month later and I got suspicious since I have not received a confirmation email or text, I called and they informed me we were only booked for facials. At this point, I had just told them not to worry about the treatment at all and I was not interested any longer. Sounds like they struggle with providing a simple spa service and have LOTS of crossed wires. I would NOT recommend the Glosshouz given there are many other phenomenal day spas in the area that would NEVER let this happen. read more

I was rescheduled a handful of times due to turnover and then was cancelled all together at the last minute. I will give it to them that they did call in a lash tech to take care of me- that was a nice gesture. I wanted classic natural looking lashes and instead I left with a heavy volume lash- not my style but more importantly not what I asked for. Glue application is excessive, thick and uncomfortable- I ended up taking some tweezers to my lash line when I got home to try an relieve my eyelid of the heaviness and cluster lashes. This place has become a huge disappointment over the three years I've been a customer. High employee turnover led to subpar service/results. Eventually, the only service I found reliable was my hair stylist (now she's left also). I tried a new stylist but only to be let down. I was put in a chair with my feet dangling (no bar) in front of an 8 by 10 standing mirror (even though there was only one other hair customer at the time). The cut wasn't a disaster but also was not what we discussed. The experience was hardly worth the $76 charge. I canceled my membership to the BFF program in person (per the rules) only to have to call 3 times to get them to finally stop charging my card and refund their mistake. read more

I went with my friend based on the good reviews and because she loves the lady that does her lash lift and she was so excited. My go to place is not open currently. And I really haven't been in the mood of going to many places any way but she insisted and I was happy to spend time with my bestie. As a Nurse, proper sanitation and disinfection are paramount in my practice to keep my self and patients safe, this situation is unacceptable! Before going in I asked question regarding COVID testing from their employee and precautions, and their hygiene protocol in general. The person didn't apologize and was absolute rude. I woke up with red, irritated eyes, mildly infected. I have never had such a terrible experience at any other establishment ever. I will be reporting them to the health department. I've received two different treatments here with two different RNs that gave conflicting information. I was told there was a demo for a service I was interested in during their open house, so I came to their open house to see it and get some clarification of the conflicting information and it was chaos. When someone finally greeted me and "signed me in" I was told there was not in fact a demo. They had different ways to earn tickets for the open house but no direction on how to complete them. Like a tour... but no one was available to give the tour. An emsculpt NEO demo with sign up... but no indication where to sign up. It was clear that their regular clients received preferential treatment so I would not recommend their open house for someone just wanting to check out this spa...I left feeling disappointed because I never received any sort of clarification on the two services I had already received (the conflicting information) and feel like I wasted money on my first service here. I was considering signing up for their monthly BFF savings club but after feeling like a ghost at their open house I am not so sure. read more

[UPDATE] Not even 30mins from when I wrote this review the owner reached out to make it right. I really appreciate the prompt customer service and willingness to correct the experience. I have updated the Yelp stars from 2 to 3 and will try Glosshouz again when I am in town. [REVIEW] I scheduled two blow-outs on NYE for me and a girlfriend. We arrived on time - but only my friend was able to start. I waited for 15 minutes before walking to the front to inquire about my stylist. I mentioned that we had a dinner reservation, so we were under a time crunch and the woman at the front said my girl was running late. Ok fine - can we please have some champagne while I wait? Then at the 35-minute mark into my appointment - my stylist finally came over. No hello, no apology, she said absolutely nothing. Just started to slowly (and I mean like a sloth) comb my hair. I had to stop her and be like "here's what I want, this is the picture..." etc. I was already a little stressed due to the time crunch and mentioned it to her...and she basically said nothing. No "I got you", no "I will make it happen"...' etc. She just was silent and slow. When she walked away (without mentioning that she'd be right back) I ended up hastily combing my long hair just to save time. I already said I didn't think we had time to wash/blow dry my hair - which was a huge bummer for me. I was looking forward to the wash and blow out. So I showed her what I wanted in a picture - and she just started curling it. No water spray and smooth out. Like basically - I could've done this at home. My hair was looking frizzy, terribly styled, and she sprayed hairspray directly onto my hair so the curls looked crunchy and like a 17-year old did it at home. I was getting so upset. And you know what she said when I was like " I think we need to smooth out the top" - she was snarky and said "I think I can figure it out." I hated my hair and was so disappointed. And when I got to the front to pay - I just ended up paying and leaving 20% because so many people were standing around and I didn't feel comfortable being like "20% for my friend and nothing for mine." And I was again, in a hurry and didn't want to deal. I ended up going back to my hotel and fixing it. I had high hopes due to all the great reviews but maybe this place isn't for me. This place is terrible! Don't get me wrong, the services and people performing the services are great but the connection to reception and their website sucks. I have been here three times, the second with my mother for a girl's day. I booked the Mini Spa Day package a week ahead of the actual appointment online and they called me the DAY BEFORE my appointment to tell me they didn't schedule enough staff members to accommodate our package and that we needed to move times or dates. This was very inconvenient as I already had other plans this day. So we ended up moving the time to later in the day, we arrive. The person doing my pedicure was filing my skin and caused me to bleed. And due to the whole rescheduling debacle, they missed part of the original package when they actually rescheduled us so we needed to separate our Soaking Bath Bliss (which is not even worth the up-charge to sit in a drawn bath in silence for 20 minutes) from our massages and pedicures. Later, I scheduled an Arosha Body Contouring Wrap on a Monday before the Friday appointment, I received a call Wednesday to tell me that they "no longer offer that service." Fine, I schedule a different set of appointments, all within good timing of each other online, for Sunday and am called the DAY OF to tell me that they don't have the staff and they need to reschedule my massage to another appointment. I asked if they had any body treatments available they do so I accepted. After my appointments, I ask the receptionist about the Arosha Body Contouring Wrap and she said that THEY DO STILL HAVE THAT SERVICE and SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHY SOMEONE WOULD TELL ME THEY DON'T. This was very upsetting to me because that's the main service I wanted and never got. The only reason I went back so many times was to use up gift cards I had received. I was gifted a service here after having a double mastectomy and couldn't wash my own hair. My stylist was so kind and spent extra time making it a relaxing experience and my hair came out stunning. I had a really dry small after my surgery and she spent 45 minutes patiently picking dry skin out of my hair until it was perfect. I am very torn between three and four stars. The staff are super friendly, the nurses knowledgeable, and they have mimosas. My good experiences have been Botox, Kybella, and lash extensions. My bad experiences have been manicures and pedicures. My on-the-fence experience has been filler. The deets: They seem to just throw a receptionist at you to paint your nails. When I got my pedicure, the shellac came off in a couple of days, and this is after she completely smudged the polish. The next time I went in, my nails looked like I did them myself. For filler, I just don't absolutely love my results. But that is not necessarily their fault. HOWEVER, the injection nurses and lash extension specialists are extremely good. And the results are amazing. So, I guess I'll be going with four stars. Because in all honesty, I care more about my face than my nails. read more

Really wanted to love this place, but definitely not worth the cost. Upon arrival, they said they only had one "welcome gift" but would make sure we got them on our way out. That never happened. Both of us did not receive our "lip and eye treatment" that was suppose to be included in our facial. I left with eye makeup still on. The massage was amazing but I have had better facials at the "chain spas". We were never asked if we wanted water through our our whole visit. When it came time to pay, the l management was more interested in selling a membership then actually asking how our time was. I would also be cautious of the good reviews since they offer a $5 discount for a 5 star review., they even provide a QR code for guests to scan. It was pretty amazing and so hard to find any negative comments but I do have theww if I were to be very extremely critical: 1) the table in massage room 7 kept creaking during my massage and I was afraid I was going to break the table so maybe provide massage tables in the future that don't sound like they're about to break (not a deal breaker still love this place) 2) the relax lounge is awesome but it was kind of weird to sit in there next to people that weren't in robes and fully clothes? Maybe they could wait in the party room in the future (again I'm just being nit picky at this point) 3) the soak bath bliss upgrade was pretty expensive but it was relaxing, I probably wouldn't do that upgrade next time Again just being extra picky and trying to provide constructive feed back, overall I love this place and all the employees, which are always so helpful funny and super charismatic! read more

Once for a luxurious CBD spa bath, once for my beautiful highlights (which the stylist made sure the color looked good with my naturally curly hair), and once fo my lashes (which lasted an entire month before they started looking patchy).
