I saw they had 5 stars on Yelp and decided to give them a chance as they were open late and I needed to come in after 7pm. They put me with Rachel and she did a great job in my thick, coarse hair. Service was good, and I got the color and cut I wanted, but they Nickel and dime for everything. I booked a color, and I was never told there was a color charge. I was asked if I wanted 2 different types of color. I did not care but was pushed to the one that covers grey more even though she stated mine was not bad. At the end I was charged an $8 color charge. Not sure if this is standard for all colors or I was up charged and never told but I paid for a root touch up which never once said I had to pay additional for the color itself. Had my cut done and no style. It was just a flat blow-dry. I showed many pics of want I wanted the cut to look like. How am I suppose to know if the cut is correct if it is not styled? Am I suppose to pay for a style in addition to color and cut? That seems ridiculous. I've never been in a place that does not style after a cut (and it was not just a trim). Additionally, I was told I was booked for 3 hours (which I knew was a lot) but out in 2:15 at the most and no style so it was not like there was no time. The booking engine does say to book chemical style when you book color if you want a styling but says nothing like this on cut and I do not recall it staying this then I booked originally so not sure if this was always there or a change. I get that if you are getting a root touch-up only but on a new style cut no style seems odd and if you booked just a cut it never says any style is included. Additionally, they charge a credit card fee to pass those charges along to you. When I booked online j had to pay 1/2 and how do you pay online without a credit card even if I wanted to avoid it? I understand wanting a deposit because some people would book and not show but forces to pay fee. Not uncommon nowadays days but just stating as another way to charge extra fees. The stylist was nice and the salon was clean (besides the dog that was being walked in and out of the salon for walks). Not sure why employee's animals are allowed in a salon. They should not do that when booking in case someone is allergic or fear of dogs. read more

I have not had a haircut in a while and Linda gave me the best haircut today! She was amazing! Through the hair cut she told me what she was doing and why she was doing it. She took her time with my haircut, listened to what I really want and did not rush the blow dry process. Her technique was so good and the outcome was better than I expected! First off, you know you're in the right spot to get your hair colored if everyone else is also getting their hair colored! And everyone's colors are coming out beautiful. Adela did my highlights and she was lovely and my color turned out very pretty. Next I had my hair cut by Michael and first off, I was blessed to have him rinse my color and use those hands to massage my scalp. Heaven on earth! I had a recommendation to try a hairdresser from a friend who's hair looked great. I usually do not try recommendations from any one....they don't work out. I end up so upset with the service... Well it happened again! Huge disappointment! I made an appointment with Adela to trim my hair at TONI & GUY SALON and to touch up the root color. I felt like she had not been a hairdresser for too long. (She said she had been practicing for 4 years.) Our perception of color was completely different. She saw and suggested a red color and my actual retouch color is a medium brown. Don't do red hair! So I get the roots covered. At least I thought I did. On to the hair trim. She said 3 inches off? Heck no... maybe an inch. My hair is fine. I don't have any layers cut into it. She does a "point cut" method to trim my hair. The problem was she cut into the hair too deep and the ends looked more dry and thin than before the trim. Crap! She did not cover the gray around my hair line. Did not notice it until I got home. She also left color around the edge of my hairline. I saw her in SEPHORA a week later and told her about the gray areas not covered. She said her your hair must grow fast! No .... I told her you did not cover the gray completely at the time of the appointment . Oh come back in and I can look at it she said. Yes... That's what I want to do .... make another appointment for a color correction! I chose not to go back. Had someone else reshape the hair and will go to her for color too. Crap! Also when you schedule an appointment on line you pay for 1/2 of the requested service. When you finish you pay the other 1/2. Nope... That really sucks! Never again to TONI & GUY SALON! Highly overrated! Adele's skills are questionable at best! read more

I am visiting Colorado for a month and staying a 10 miles away from the salon. I checked out best salons in the area, Toni & Guy came up and I read the history of the business which is outstanding. When I called for an appt. I asked for someone who can blow out extremely course, curly hair straight then flatiron and was told Leslie was great. The salon has a great, friendly vibe, with many stylists and a comfortable waiting lounge area with a large flat screen TV. Leslie greeted me with her bubbly personality, we talked about my hair and not only did she give me a great shampoo but did a fabulous blowout and flatiron on my hair. I have seen her 3 times since I have been here and she is amazing. My husband loved my hair so much, he went to Leslie for a haircut and she did a great job. I had my base haircolor, blowdry, flatiron and haircut today and my hair looks outstanding. Leslie always asks your opinion if you like the results and strives for perfection. When calling the salon ask for Leslie you will be glad you did!! read more

Well I will start off by saying how unbelievably disappointed I am. Do yourself a favor and make yourself fully aware of their cancellation policy. So so frustrated with a salon that I have been going to for over 15 years. Over the last couple of months I have been to the salon 3 times because the stylists did not do what I asked them to do. I am aware that I have blonde hair and adding color can fade. But when I ask for permanent color, why are you putting a Demi on platinum blonde? Obviously that is going to fade and fade fast. And I paid my dues. 3 TIMES! Plus tip. With no complaint. This has NEVER happened to me. You should know this is not a cheap salon to go to. So of course today I forgot to cancel my appointment ( I've been there so much recently I didn't remember I had another one scheduled). I called and the receptionist said they were going to charge me 50% of what I was scheduled for. $95!!! On top of all the money I've paid to have them fix my hair! Which never was fixed. I was not made aware of this new cancellation policy. Which is shocking considering I've been there so many times recently. They should be telling their clients every time when setting appointments about this policy. "It's on our website." Oh really? Because I'm checking your freakin webpage everyday?? Such bs. And also, maybe let your customers know that you are keeping their card on file. That is not right to not ask your clients for permission to do so. I used to love this salon but unfortunately I have also been noticing decreases in performance and quality of hair color/products. Take your $300 elsewhere and save yourself 5 hours in a salon chair.
