Actually, Grey Salon Studio was my first choice but the other salon I tried first was recommended, so I gave it a shot. Cut was fine but color was dark on top and light on bottom. Kind of like an ombre but without the fade. By the time I got in to see Veronica at Grey Salon Studio, my color had lightened a bit but still wasn't right. Veronica fixed it, easily and beautifully. And gave me a terrific cut with much needed body and a more current style. BTW, I am horrible at styling my hair. Since Veronica couldn't blow dry and style me (Covid-19 precautions), I went home and did it myself. I was surprised how easy and great looking it came out! Testament to her skills.

What we ended up with was nothing short of a nightmare. I walked in to see my daughter and my jaw dropped, her hair was Bright Red like Ariel from the Little Mermaid. Kara claimed to be a blonde specialist, her brochure says it yet there was no blonde at all in my daughters hair. We consulted regarding balayage and lived in color, which is ideal for low maintenance or a more natural look. What we got instead was dramatic red that looked like a wig with high maintenance and complete damage throughout on her close to virgin hair. What concerned me even more she was gaslighting my daughter in the chair convincing her to like it while I was saying that it was nothing like we asked for nor expected. Moments after we left, I texted Kara to set up a "fix it" appointment which she said was free yet she demanded we pay in full before she would set up appointment. I suggested we pay her half and the remainder when it is fixed, which I thought was a fair compromise. After texting back and forth and a phone call, I was accused of theft of services. An hour or so later a deputy called me to discuss Kara's complaint, he understood our side of things as texts and photos were shared. I was flabbergasted, I never said I wouldn't pay her, I wanted my daughters hair fixed asap as she has a job and was going back to school. I never had an intention to not pay Kara but I was starting to be concerned that she wasn't capable of fixing my daughters hair thus demanding the payment now for a botched job. It was NOT a professional experience in any way and we were beyond disappointed. I contacted the owner of the salon Kara was working out of to seek her advice, she then consulting with her co-owner and they decided to fix my daughters hair the very next morning at 8:00 am. They understood what was wrong as I shared the pictures and texts. We went in the following morning and almost 3 hours later my daughters hair was better but unfortunately it was too far processed to be really want we wanted. An improvement (see pictures). The owner asked me to venmo Kara for the service she provided (not Kara) so I did. The owners of the salon were highly professional.

She consistently cuts my hair the way I like it and gives great attention to detail! I recently had her color my hair after many years of growing it out, and she did a FANTASTIC job (see picture)! I went in with some idea of what I wanted it to look like, but told Ashley just to do whatever she thought would look good. Everytime I tell her to do what she thinks would look best, I am never disappointed! She has wonderful taste and always gives me great beauty tips for free ! (There is an elevator from the ground floor, so that's no problem.) Fixtures are comfortable and stylish. Parking is ample but shared with many other businesses, so it's likely one will need to walk a bit. There are only 3 disabled spaces for 3-4 businesses, so that will be a concern for me. I was unpleasantly surprised that my stylist had raised her prices. And I was shocked that I was charged tax on my visit--I've never seen tax on such a service. Or was it a credit card fee?
