Carla D.

This was the first time I've gotten a pedicure in over 2.5 years. My feet needed some extra TLC, and we decided to give Sassy Nail Spa a shot, since it was brand new. This nail spot is located in the Grumpy's plaza on 210, behind Culvers. Parking was easy, although it may be more challenging once more of the tenants occupy stores. We tried to make an appointment online, but there was no way of making one. We walked in, let the staff know we were here for a pedicure (3 people), and we were told to pick out our colors and they'd be right with us. If you're into gel or SNS, they had a TON of options. They had a good enough selection for regular polish, but you can always bring your own polish with you. A few minutes later we were seated back in the pedicure area. The chairs looked so new and inviting. Each chair was equipped with a massager, remote, and tray table. The staff asked us if we wanted anything to drink. I will say it's always nice when you go with a few people that you all can get your nails done at the same time, that wasn't really the case here and it may have been to being short staffed (or at least that's my assumption). We all got pedicures, but they all started roughly 10-15 minutes after each other. So not horrible and I think once they have a booking platform, the timing will be right. Most of the techs were wearing masks. The woman who did my feet was very good. She took a lot of attention to detail when it came to painting my nails. I did check out their pedi menu and it's pretty extensive. They had everything from their basic service at $32 to one that went up to $90 (and everything in between). I decided to go with the basic, which included a scrub, lotion, foot massage, nail shaping, and took about 30 minutes from start to finish. All in all I really enjoyed my experience. It was nice to have a pedicure, staff was friendly, prices were in line with most places, it was new and clean. Pros: -Staff was friendly -Wore masks -Variety of nail polish options -Variety of pedicure options -Brand new place Cons: -Wish you could book an appointment online (I did see an appt book, so I'm assuming you could probably call and make an appointment) Tips: Bring your own polish, that way if your polish chips you can easily do a touch up.

I usually enjoy getting my nails done here, but today's experience was like one that i've never had before. I came around 2 hours before they closed, which i know and understand once a business is slowing down for the day, they all would like to get out of there. My nail tech was rushing very noticeably. I asked for a simple french tip with a layer of chrome, the job was done but very poorly. They look horrendous. I did not have the courage to say something, but any nail tech should know that this work is not acceptable, and it should not cost $75. Not to mention , she was coughing up a storm in my face without covering her mouth.

Decided to take my sassiest one here for her very first mani and pedi. She was adorably excited getting glammed up in that little pedi-chair. The care they give is phenomenal! The attention to detail was incredible and you won't leave dissatisfied. This is now my go-to nail spa and I'm definitely bringing sassy back! Also, ended up bringing my husband for a MAN-icure and Detoxifying Charcoal Pedicure. Now I'm adding this to the date night list of ideas!

One of the best pedicures I have had in a long time. I'm so happy! Relaxing and clean environment. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves an amazing pedicure massage and service

I loved it! Super cute vibe and they're there to get the job done with quality/neatness and efficiency Will be coming back here.

Was searching for a good nail salon while visiting my family and decided to try this salon. The salon is brand new and very clean. Great selection of colors. I got a gel manicure and my mom got a traditional polish manicure and pedicure. We were both happy with the attention to detail on our nails. Service was very nice and welcoming!!

They did okay on my toes. However, none of there colors match their dip and gel. I got gel on my nails and it looked awful. It was all over my hands and chipped off the next day. Plus none of my nails were shaped the same. I went home and shaped them myself. Totally it worth it and I will never go back. I have no idea how this place has the reviews it does

Worst nail job ever. Got half of the nail painted with metallic paint, it's not the original color/paint i chose, they just put the metallic paint on and said it will be better, NO, it's a lie! They never told me that the metallic paint won't give an even or smooth finishing, it will smear with the undercoat (you can see every single stroke of the paint marks). Now imagine half of your nails look like they have been painted by your 9yrs old niece.

Scrubbing hurt and paint job not the greatest. They were friendly people though. Traveling through on vacation so won't have to return.

The very next day my feet looked like I never got a pedi and the polish on my gel nails was peeling off. The manager welcomed us back to correct the issues which was great. But he gave excuses for the issues by saying it was my fault for having dry skin or for being to hard on the nails. Instead of taking responsibility. I'm a housewife, I don't wash dishes, I don't do hard labor or heavy lifting, or walk around barefoot. There's absolutely no reason my mani and deluxe pedi should already be falling apart the very next day. I've never been to a nail salon, paid over $100+ and the very next day it was already coming off and feet looked like I didn't even have a DELUXE pedicure. When I do my own pedicure at home, my feet are soft for at least a week. And I don't even have the professional tools or products. While I greatly appreciate the managers willingness to correct the issues; he still did the bare minimum to correctly fix the issues. Removing some polish but not all and painting over it but the previous color can still be seen and then not wanting to correct that new issue. Rushing to correct the problems but not respecting the requests during correction. Like removing all of the black polish before you put new polish on. Then when my husband says it again, THEN he corrected it. I didn't feel like they respected my requests or my business. If I'm paying for a service, I expect you to perform the service well. Not rush through it, do it half way, and then disregard or ignore the correction when the customer is not pleased with the result. I also expect full accountability. It should be done well the first time and if not, it should most definitely be done with care and willingness to accommodate the requests. I shouldn't be made to feel as if I'm creating an inconvenience for your employees poor service.

First pic, what I requested exactly, especially pointing out the shape, the smooth transition from dipped nails to cuticle, color, just dipped, not painted, and length. Next pics, what I got after 2.5 hours, and after asking for changes, telling her I didn't want the length. Then pics on two that lifted/fell off Saturday, and then one that broke and damaged my nail bed today. Problems: not smooth. Lumpy, weird like duck bills, not the target pic. She put obvious silver glitter on one third of the nail, kept telling me it was better, I said no, it's nice for other, but not what I want. She removed it then paintedy nails this pink color and added silver glitter swipe like dollar store polish. She told me her nails last a month. 2 weeks, two lifted and fell off on non dominant hand. Should have been $60 per the website, charged me $75 with a whole lot of manipulative attitude. I paid and ripped well as I always do ($30) because I never wanted to go back or think of the service or have any ties to them at all. But now I have to spend more time or just remove them all and spend more money. Very devious, kept saying trust me, trust me, trust me and her 27 years of experience and how fancy she did nails in Manhattan. I don't recommend. I've worn all sets of dipped nails a month and only had one nail break or lift in the past 3 years. Nails are a luxury and this experience was like spending $75 on something from 5 and Below.
