I used to be really hesitant about nail art because of past bad experiences at other establishments but every single design he's done for me has been amazing. He consistently exceeds my expectations. For the positive, staff was friendly and salon was clean. On the flip side, we paid $32 for a basic men's pedicure (no polish) and the tech cut my husband's toe so badly that it wouldn't stop bleeding, despite the solution she applied. She didn't even apologize until I looked at her and asked her what happened. She just said "oh sorry." I was dumbfounded. Had we known it was going to resume bleeding on the way out the door, we wouldn't have paid at all! They didn't even offer a discount. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. Will NEVER be back. read more

I just moved from San Marco and had to leave my trusty nail salon behind. I was very nervous about finding a new one. What if it's not the same, and my only option is to drive 30 minutes north to go back to old faithful? But I did a little research and decided to take a gamble on Avalon. I was a walk-in appointment and was seen immediately. I got the deluxe gel pedicure, which I thought would be comparable to what I got at my old salon. It wasn't quite comparable, though - this one was better! My nail technician was incredible at every aspect. She was precise but gentle, took her time, and was careful with my cuticle areas that tend to be sensitive. The salon itself is actually quite large with plenty of space for manicures and pedicures. I found it to be clean and well-decorated. Exactly what you'd expect from a cute salon. The cost was a little higher than I used to pay at the other place, but it's certainly worth it. The massage chair alone was an amazing experience. I'm so glad I took the leap of faith and I will absolutely be back! read more

This is my go-to nail salon. I've tried many in the area and Avalon is by far my fav! They are always so friendly, fun and professional. I like the pedi chairs.... Great for a group of girls since they have a lot of chairs. The salon is very clean and the manicurists are very attentive. First f we looked at their pricing in their website and decided to have my daughters nail done. She wanted a gel manicure with a specific design. Not too complicate design either. I left her to run an errand, coming back, and to pay, I was charged $100 because of the design and that it was supposedly a much cheaper option that the technician did. This is her first time and mine having a gel nail polish and design. The tech was rude to me when i was trying to pay. I tapped my card but she pulled on the machine and of course the transaction failed. Pulled my card our of my hand and inserted it and I told her well i tapped and you pulled it off the machine. No apologies. Just made me feel like you charging me a $100 dollars and the rudeness. Just coz I left the minor thinking she said what kind of treatment she wanted based on the website description and you go behind what it is that cost more. read more

The salon is so beautiful, clean & welcoming. there was alittle bit of back ground noise but I was still able to relax and unwind! Both Managers the male and female were very nice and did a great job on my nails, the main nail tech did exactly what I asked for and I got the builder TAP gel! only thing I didn't like was they wanted to charge me to clean my cuticle up and my dead and dry skin on around my nail, I didn't get that added on, I chose to just do it at home later. Im a hairstylist and am curious to see how well these hold up! Anna did my toes and her massage skills are amazing she almost put me to sleep! I rebooked for 4 weeks out! I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Avalon Nails and Spa. I saw Anna for a pedicure (I think it was called the Volcano Pedicure). She was incredible! It was exactly what I needed and I am hooked, I will only be getting pedicures from Anna from here forward! The salon was very clean. The staff was extra friendly. They served me a beverage while I was getting my pedicure. I am very pleased with the service and the pricing. For those who care, I'm terrified of getting pedicures because my feet are gross. Buuuuuut my husband forced me to get out and go relax. I love my new toes! For those who are regulars to those who are like me, this is a great salon and I highly recommend! read more

Truly this place amazed my friend and i. We had a long ass day and just needed our nails done and came in alittle late not realizing the time. My friend got a manicure acyrlics and i got a pedicure when i got done i got asked if i was wanting to get my nails done? it was 7:15, 15minutes before close... I did want to get my nails done but i felt horrible making them do it but there were very persistent on doing what i wanted! We were there til 8:15 and they were absolutely the nicest about it. Friday, January 7th (6 days ago) I went to Avalon Nails for the first time to get a pedicure and a gel manicure. I wanted to be sure my nails looked great for a conference I'm attending in Las Vegas this week. First, the woman who did my pedicure completely scrubbed the skin off of my right big toe. I stopped her 2 times telling her she was hurting me as she attempted to remove a small callus on the side of my toe. By Tuesday evening my nails were lifting and starting to chip and peel off. I ran to an ABC store to buy clear nail polish hoping to salvage my manicure as best I could b/c I'm out of town. I called on Wednesday asking to speak to the owner or manager and was told I was speaking to them. I explained my disappointment and situation with Avalon Nails and requested a refund for at least the gel manicure. She told me they do not give refunds but to come in and they would do it over. I explained I had no desire to have my nails done at this salon again, and asked again for a refund. She refused again to give me a refund. I informed her that I would write this review if a refund was not given for at least the cost of the manicure. I was planning to go into the salon to discuss this in person when I got home tomorrow, but I'm not going to waste my time. Save your money and skin and skip this nail salon. read more
