He kindly fit me in to get the job done before last week's rain hit--and not only did he do it in record time, he did a fantastic job, leveling the hard ground perfectly and fitting the uneven bricks together in a beautiful vintage look, creating a very nice pathway that is even, solid and secure underfoot. He went above and beyond, too: Even though I didn't think to ask, John added two very useful details (at no extra charge) that showed his extreme attention to detail and professionalism: He lined the sides of the pathway with small rocks to improve drainage (which worked like a charm in last week's rainstorm), and he curved the pathway to prevent me from conking my head on the protruding swamp cooler (which I've done too often--no more now!). And to top things off, because he got the job done so quickly, he charged me 30% less than his original (very reasonable) estimate! John Friendly not only lives up to his name, he does an fantastic job with extreme expertise AND extreme honesty. I'll definitely be calling John for any other work I need done, and feel very lucky to have found such a stellar handyman.
