We didn't have the best experience with Steve - while he was able to help fix a leak under the kitchen sink, we also needed his help fixing a bath tub diverter. He took off the bath tub faucet head & let us know that he would order the part and get the job done within the week. I called a week later to follow up & he said he would get the part in the next few days. After not hearing back for a few more days, I called back & he said he was too busy to track down the part. If he was too busy to do the work, he shouldn't have set the expectation that the job could be done in a week. Why didn't he at least put the faucet head back on? My tenant has been without a shower for 2+ weeks now while I could've gone and talked to a different plumber. Even worse, they can't even take baths anymore because he took the faucet head off. Won't use again and would not recommend. Very poor client service and exhorbitant rates. We needed a garbage disposal installed. They did not advise that the unit we purchased did not have a pigtail included in the box when they took it out, but they installed the disposal anyway, charging us $256 an hour in the process. Then they advised that we needed to have an electrician come and complete the installation after we got a pigtail! When we discovered a small leak in the side of the sink with the disposal we called to have them come back to rectify it, but we did not get a return reply. Felt like cancelling the check. If they had advised that there was no pigtail included with the unit when they took it out of the box, we could have gone to get one and had it wired before the installation. Instead our electrician had to lay on his back and contort the wiring into place. read more

I have had the worst experience and now dealing with the nightmare this companys employee has caused. My cold water shower valve was broke and needed to be replaced. To fix it the wall in my bathroom had to be removed and my hot water tank as well. He did not fix my problem but has caused my bedroom wall and carpet molded and wet lost sentimental items of my spouse who has passed away!! The floor where my water heater is is so wet it is falling apart. I have been sitting at home with no air conditioner or water because this guy refuses to come fix his mess and he has known there was a problem for weeks, all he said was I'm not coming back up there so go find a new plumber!! We originally met Steve Beaton last summer when we needed someone to replace our ancient, leaky, exterior hose bibs. I don't remember the name of the person Steve sent out to help us but he was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. It is amazing how much our water bill has decreased! When our aging water heater showed signs of going out, a few weeks ago, we remembered how pleasant our experience was with Beaton Plumbing and contacted Steve - who personally came out the same day we called. We knew the water heater replacement was going to be challenging because it was located in our difficult-to-access attic. Steve looked at our situation and presented several options for us to consider. He also assured us that he and his crew could easily work around the challenging location of our old water heater which really put us at ease. We ultimately chose to replace our traditional water heater with a more efficient tankless water heater. The cost was a bit more, but reasonable, plus we have endless hot water and can look forward to lower power bills! Steve and his crew, including his son Matthew, did an awesome job! We just had our kitchen counters replaced and as a result needed dishwasher, gas stove and garbage disposal to be reconnected. The plumbing under sink had to be reworked in order to reinstall the faucet. Steve got Nick and Dom here pretty quickly. Nick did a great job, tested everything thoroughly to ensure no leaks. Spent thousands of dollars on a job that I admit was not pleasant to do, but he did it and collected the money. Had a problem with one part of the job about 2 months later and asked him to take a look at it and let me know what he finds. He said he would come over later that day. He never showed.. tried calling him back with no response. Texted him with no response. Gave up and called another plumbing company and they are coming over to look at it for me. I have used him in the past for my household plumbing needs and this rental house need as well with no issues, but I will not use him again for anything. There is no excuse for at least a call back and tell me he just doesn't want to do the job even though I have always paid him what he asked for with no questions. When I tried to call him the next day to find out when he was coming he never answered either phone number listed and he doesn't delete his voicemails so you can't leave him a message.
