The outdoor seating and rooftop is a good vibe, and honestly was very impressed by the food lunch specials too.

No issues with my sensitive stomach which some time has difficulties with texmex. The rooftop has great sunset views and is good for groups if you can find a spot. We tend to order the same things. I get a cocktail off the menu and tacos. My hushes a beer and a burrito. His burrito came out incorrectly two visits in a row so he has switched to tacos and has not had that issue since. Be aware. My only consistent complaint now is that I really with you could order your drinks at the same time and at the same touchpoint as ordering food. Having to wait in a line to order food and then wait again at the bar to get a bartenders attention to then wait again for a drink is a hassle and a bit annoying. The bartenders are also quite slow here we have noticed (both upstairs and down). We have waited for drinks longer than food on more than one occasion. So this leaves me alone holding our table while my husband waits for drinks to be made and often food gets delivered while that happening and starts to cool. Annoying right? But otherwise food is good. Drinks are interesting. Great rooftop. It's a decent and easy spot to grab a quick easy dinner I just wish they fix that issue.

From the outside, the restaurant is pretty unassuming, but if you've spent time eating at authentic Mexican spots, you know that's usually a good sign. Inside, it's small and quaint and honestly feels like you've stepped into someone's home kitchen in the best way. We ordered plain bean and cheese burritos to-go (a true test for any Mexican spot) along with a small order of chips. While waiting about 10 minutes for our food, we loaded up at the salsa bar. We tried four salsas: roasted tomato, enchilada, habanero, and tomatillo, and every single one tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. Serious salsa bar goals. If I had to rank them, the roasted tomato and tomatillo were my favorites, but honestly you can't go wrong with any of them. Then came the burritos. One bite immediately took us right back to the LA food trucks we grew up with--simple, comforting, and exactly what a good bean and cheese burrito should be. Finally, a bean and cheese burrito that tastes like California. I wish I had taken photos, but honestly... I was too excited and dug right in. Safe to say we'll be back soon. This has officially become our new go-to spot for Mexican takeout. Pro tip: Don't skip the salsa bar--grab a few different ones and experiment.

Food: - Mexico City tacos: including 2 steak, 2 al pastor and 1 carnita. A great taco sampler. Was a big fan of the amazing, fresh, hearty and well seasoned meat. 5 tacos, if you can't decide this is a great sampler! - beef nachos: LOADED! Ground beef topping, was ample, refried beans, cheese sauce, and topped with fresh tomatoes, it was super flavourful and yummy. Filling to say the least, recommend to share for 2-3 as a side or even a main! - Fish tacos: grilled tilapia, decided to opt with no rice and beans. Fresh, flavourful and simple. generous portions of fish. Service - friendly, fast and was able to provide us ample time to decide what to eat. Didn't feel rushed, rather inviting. ** there is a fresh self serve salsa station that includes sour cream, guacamole, salsas, hot sauces, onions, cilantro, pico de gallo, and so many other goodies!! Loved how it was self Serve so you can customize your own items the way you want. I like how you can pack away the toppings in to-go containers as well if you're taking food out. **complimentary nachos if you're dining in, a plus! Ambiance - family style, home-y, and very authentic. There are tables for groups if you'd like, tables for smaller groups as well. A decent seating area in the back. Overall, would recommend this spot for authentic Mexican food and would definitely satisfy any cravings! It is definitely authentic and packed with flavour. I'm sure you'll be leaving full!

They do have a bar inside and when you order, they bring your food to your table. Alcohol drinks must be ordered at the bar separately from your food. They also offer happy hour Monday through Friday at the bar and then weekend drink specials One thing everyone should order, is the queso, which is green Chile queso topped with guacamole, cotija cheese, cilantro and diablo sauce, served with tortilla chips. You have the option to add chorizo but the regular version is just fine. This is probably one of the best queso's I have had. It is truly delicious. You will get more queso then chips, and we have never asked for more chips, but Im sure you would be able to. For food, they offer a wide variety including tacos, fajitas, burritos, salads, bowls, and even breakfast tacos. I have only been a couple of times but have always gotten the same thing. I prefer the "The Bonfire Bowl" with jerk chicken. This is cilantro lime rice, black beans, spinach, diced mango, pickled onions & jalapeños, pistachios, and avocado sauce. so good! My wife also orders the same thing. She likes to get 2 different tacos, since they are sold individually. She prefers the Trailer Park which is fried chicken, green chiles, lettuce, pico de gallo, mixed cheese with poblano sauce on a flour tortilla. She also gets the Fried Avocado which is fried avocados, refried pinto beans, pico de gallo, lettuce, mixed cheese with poblano sauce on a corn tortilla. You also have the option to swap to a flour tortilla if you want. This is a great taco place and we will for sure be back! Happy hour and tacos!! ACES!

They are delicious tacos and I have been a few times. I finally was able to take my husband for lunch and he loved it as well. Inside they have many tables as well as a bar. This is probably one of the best queso's I have had. It is truly delicious. You do get more queso then chips, and I am not sure if they would bring you more chips. I also noticed this last time, they had a trio which was half orders of the green chile queso, guacamole, and your choice of salsa. This will need to go on my list. For food, they have a wide variety including tacos, fajitas, burritos, salads, bowls, and even breakfast tacos. I always get the same thing, really because their menu is so large it gets overwhelming for me. However, there are quite a few tacos I would like to try. I looked at their website and it is much easier to read, to be honest. But I go for the Trailer Park which is fried chicken, green chiles, lettuce, pico de gallo, mixed cheese with poblano sauce on a flour tortilla. It is absolutely delicious and very tasty. I prefer to get no pico as I do not like onions. I also love and it's probably my favorite, the Fried Avocado which is fried avocados, refried pinto beans, pico de gallo, lettuce, mixed cheese with poblano sauce on a corn tortilla. My husband ordered the The Bonfire Bowl with jerk chicken, it had cilantro lime rice, black beans, spinach, diced mango, pickled onions & jalapeños, pistachios, and avocado sauce. He loved it!!! It was a huge bowl as well so very filling. The only thing I was missing when I go, is taco sauces. Some of the tacos do come with a sauce, but I would love a variety of different sauces to try. You can substitute different sauces on the menu, but I am not sure of what they actually have. They also offer happy hour Monday through Friday at the bar and then weekend drink specials. I know we will be coming back here to try their happy hour and have more of their food. This is definitely a place you need to visit!

The tortilla was the perfect thickness to not fall apart. Which is perfect since they pack it full of protein. The toppings bar is perfection as well. Loved all the salsas. Of course plenty of cilantro and onions and radishes to add as well. My boys had cheese quesadillas and the cheese pull was incredible. The only negative is my one son doesn't eat meat and he wanted a burrito with rice and beans and no meat. They wouldn't substitute the beans for meat. So he was disappointed but the he enjoyed the quesadilla. Cute little place. It's shows its age (if it hasn't been there for years it looks like it has) could use a little refresh but truly the food is what matters and it was fantastic. Can't wait to go back.

It's a great place for a casual lunch with quality food, generous portions, and great service.
