This is our go to Buffet .They have salads American food Chinese food Japanese food sushi soups and desserts. The price is really affordable both during the week and on the weekend and there's really never a very long wait. They renovated the entire restaurant from when it was old country buffet and it looks like a completely different building. They keep it super clean and the service is very good. My husbands favorite dish is the Ginger Lobster which they bring out pretty frequently. It's great for kids and a casual night out to dinner. read more

Tried this place out since it was fairly cheap and we were in an adventurous mood. We were quite surprised this was the former location of a semi-frequent buffet we used to go to, Old Country Buffet, which I think the parent company went bankrupt or something. The spread of food is quite large, and just trying everything out once will make you full (if you are even able to!). The quality in general isn't amazing, but it's not bad. My favorite so far is the taco making area. Hard to go wrong with beef, cheese, sour cream, and salsa. I can even mix it with some Chinese fried rice since it's right there, and maybe some bacon bits from the salad bar. That's kind of the beauty of buffets: you can try out a whole lot of foods and see what you like, and you can even mix and match to create new concoctions. They have a hibachi section too, so you can get some freshly made steak and other fixings if that's your thing. Dessert section is pretty decent. I am a fan of the soft-serve, although they only have Vanilla. Try it with the cream puffs or cookies! I'll be returning at some point. Service was fine as far as taking away our plates go. My only critique is that the food wasn't replaced as quick as I'd want. After the food sits there for awhile, particularly like... the pizza? no one is going to want to eat it. Meanwhile the meatloaf was practically all gone (it was fairly good as far as meatloaf goes) but was not replaced while we were there. I use to come here when it was Old County Buffet. It was always busy and the food was excellent. It wasn't a pretty place, but you went to just eat. Fast forward to today and you have "Global Buffet." A masterpiece inside with subpar food. I came with my younger brother to meet up and talk. He had a coupon and wanted to try the place out. We walked in and I was amazed with the look of the place. It was modern and hip. They definitely are trying to attract a younger crowed. The music playing was modern but with a spin to it. Modern music played with classical instruments! I liked that a lot. They had the right formula to make visitors happy. Not to mention, they had a incredibly friendly staff. They brought us over a pitcher of water, our table was never full of plates, and they talked to you. But now I need to get into what didn't work for me. First off, you pay for every drink they bring to the table. Before the drinks were included in the price. It's definitely a way to drive up profit, but charge for the first drink and not the refills. Next, my younger brother is allergic to seafood. I feel they don't have much separation between different foods. Especially if it has the potential to kill someone. Lastly the food was fifty, fifty. I enjoyed some of it a lot. But there were a lot of items I didn't care to much for. Some food was to oily, dry or over cooked. Even the ice cream tasted funny and I didn't know you could mess ice cream up. All said and done I think everything visually works at the buffet, that and the music and amazing staff make this place better then before. However there forgetting one key thing.....people go out to eat good food. They go to buffets to spend on delicious meals. They need to invest time in the food side. this was my favorite place but after going tonight I won't be going no more, first the floor was slippery in areas, two the food wasn't even hot, my husband's ribs had to be cut with a knife to get it off the bone, I felt the food was lacking flavor and it never was that way. by the dessert area there was mushed cake all over the floor, I was getting dessert and noticed there was a worker there but didn't clean it up, when we were leaving I seen it was still there so I told the guy at the register, someone is going to slip on that. read more

Who doesn't love a buffet? It makes you feel like you're back on the cruise you took with freestyle dining. Im allergic to msg, think Linda Blair in The Exorcist and you get the idea, but this place is safe for me... big yay! Tastefully decorated, clean bathrooms, they refill your drinks quickly, and now about the food... not bad at all. I like the sushi bar best, and these guys behind are hustling to keep it fresh and stocked. Btw, there is a tip jar for them so spring a couple bucks for their time, you get a good deal at $9.99 for lunch as it is. Decent boneless spare ribs, fresh salad, good veggies, and good desserts. Service better than 4 stars, food maybe 3 1/2 (slightly above average) and variety definitely 4. The place much bigger than seen in most pictures posted. It appears to be pretty clean and the staff is definitely attentive and friendly. The food may blow some people, while others may think it's subpar. I found it to be good enough on some items but definitely plenty on freshness which isn't always the case at buffets. They have a hibachi bar that will make whatever you want fresh which is an added bonus. Definitely worth a visit and for those who like a good deal, this place is worth the price. read more

We have been going to buffet (not sure if I can put company names) across the street for a long time. Probably since they opened. Here's the Scoop: This place use to be the home of the Country Buffet. Some friends told my husband and I that it was now a different buffet. So when we arrived we had no clue that it was a Chinese Buffet. Well, I'm here to tell you that Global Buffet is a Winner!!! My goodness, when you think you've been to them all and it's going to be same oh, same oh. They are Not all created equal. Phenomenal food and sooo many choices. Global is the perfect name. So many dishes to taste and experience. Well seasoned and presented. Service is awesome. Dining area is beautiful and seating is comfortable. I walked around and around trying to figure out where to begin. There are about 20 or more Islands. A carving board station with brisket, baked ham, turkey, and a hibachi and sushi bar. Every meat, fish and vegetable is fresh tasting. This was a wonderful surprise. Prices aren't bad either. For four of us the Check was $67 with tax $70. Children are charged according to height. My grandson just made the children's price, cause his appetite is like grown folks. We will definitely return. I can't imagine what the dinner menu could be because they had whole Crab, claws, crayfish, salmon, shrimp, flounder, bass. Delicious!!!! Our usual Chinese Buffet is still closed, therefore we tried this one. The place is clean and neat, the music is nice and quiet. The COVID rules were clearly explained to us: we bring mask, they give gloves. Yes, understanding Chinese accent is not easy for me, but then the girl had to deal with my Russian accent, so it's a tie. The food is good and delicious, we could not try all dishes as there are more than we can eat in one visit. The small issue is clamps are taken very quickly, we will try next visit. They do not give bowl for bones, shrimp shells etc, so take 1 empty plate on your own. When I returned to table second time, took off gloves and was ready to eat I realized they took off that plate filled with shrimp shells. I went to take another one wearing only mask, not gloves. What happened then shows how they care about their customers: immediately one of guys asked me "Are you going to take empty plate Sir?" (I am not sure reading mind is legal in NY state), when I confirmed he said "I will get one for you". This is an art: to point that customer made a mistake, not to humiliate him and to fix this mistake - all in time under 5 seconds. This is what touched me the most and made their customer. At the end they did not give us alcohol wipes for hands but these COVID days I always carry a small bottle with alcohol disinfectant, this is not a problem, but please note this little inconvenience. read more

Don't even enter this "watered down" place -- In all my years, I never witnessed employee pouring hot water into existing mac 'n cheese so it feeds more people. I felt like I was committing treason. I was directly across the street from Chen's Buffet City, where I have been a loyal customer for years and have had several private parties at. Yet, here I was, at this new and very similar place directly across the street. Luckily, there was no windows for the management at my old tried and true to see me smiling happily through. The décor here is magnificent with perfect lighting to boot. There is plenty of food options to choose from, mostly Asian style, but definitely not only Asian. Loved the seafood. very good Shrimp and Salmon. The desserts were plentiful and the cookies very good. The price was good for lunch, though it really jumps per person on a weekend dinner. They charge different price for Saturday brunch, explaining they increased the price one month ago. I searched their website with phone and showed them Saturday brunch price, which was $1 less than they charged in the check. Manager is not available in that restaurant during Saturday brunch hours. This place is horrible and disappointing because you expect a lot from such a nice looking establishment. The food is SO bland, no flavoring in the food. The rice at the sushi section was so cold and dry, it was clearly left in the refrigerator for a long time. The people I went with told me that the fishes were dry and hard. New buffet taking over the prior buffet that was here "old country buffet". Decided ehh why not try it, and normally I'm not too fond of buffets but I saw some good reviews about this place so I thought why not. Went there on a Sunday where they serve dinner entrees all day from the time they open until the close. The opened up at 11, we got there t 11:30 am and were immediately seated. A waitress came over took our drink orders and we were off to get our grub on. Started off with some sushi which wasn't too too bad and had a bunch of other things. They have a hibachi station as well which me and my cousin split a small plate of just to try and it could have been a bit better but it wasn't terrible either. Overall this place has an amazing look on the inside, the waiters and waitresses were very attentive however the food is average with some of the items being a bit above average. Went here for Sunday brunch with family for a stereotypical Chinese buffet experience. Decor wise, the location was spacious, with clean and classy furniture. Wait staff were quick on the trigger to remove used plates. Was feeling the jazzy musical selections, with lyric-less renditions of Biggie and Yeezy, to name a few. The food was what I had expected in terms of selections, with different areas offering: sushi, Mongolian grill, salad bar, huge slabs of meat for you to self-carve (brisket, turkey, ham), cold seafood, Taco section (!), desserts. Quality of the food was slightly above average, as the crab was small, over cooked, and not washed well enough. The beef ribs were also too sweet.
