This is a very small local spot, but I got recommended it during the Summer so I had to check it out. I went in not expecting much, because being in Atlanta, I haven't had the best pizza prior. My preference is New York style with a nice crisp and solid flavor, and this pizza hit the spot perfectly. Got a few slices and took it out to the benches outside, and it was a great experience. Ive heard ppl talking about Glide for awhile and was glad to finally try it recently. It is as others mentioned a very solid, tasty slice. It's not quite as thin as you might expect for NYC pizza but cheese is good. It's on the saltier end so I found myself drinking lots of water later. I had recently gone back to Anticos and probably still prefer it or Nina and Raffi's nearby but given all of the top Atl pizza places this place is up there. It's also a different feel and business model than those other places with the small ordering window and limited seating nearby. Price is what you'd expect around the Beltline and service was prompt. It's national pizza day and I dreamt about pizza so I took it as a sign to get some. Been hearing a ton about this place so decided to check it out. Bummed they're only open from 5-9 on weekdays. This place is hard to spot and google maps sucks. I had to circle around to get back. There's a small lot for parking. It fills up quick. Theres no seating, more like a order at the walk up window, stand around and leave place. They are quick with the slices. I got one garlic slice and one cheese slice. The slices were big and thin slices. The crust was pretty chewy. The garlic one was my favorite. I loved the garlic throughout the pizza and it was oh so cheesy. The cheese one was okay. A bit lackluster. I sat in my car and ate the first slice and I was still hungry and while driving home I reached for the second. It does not taste as good cold. I had two slices and I'm still left hungry. The slices are not filling. There's nothing special about this place. It's not bad pizza but it's not anything like omg this place is a must. Is it worth the drive for OTP-ers? In my opinion, nope. Would I come back? Only if I was in the area or I wanted some pizza and this place was on the way. read more

Could I get a 35 gallon drum of that on the side, please? Even hubs, who thinks ranch is for gross people, can't resist Glide's. It's too good. Glide is located just off the Beltline at the old 04W location in the Irwin Street Market. They offer both slices and whole pies. Probably their best known slice is the Garlic pizza. It's a great tasting, unique pizza. Slices have a nice crisp taste to them. You are at the mercy of the length of the ordering line as there is not a phone # to call ahead. The best NY slice I've tried in Atlanta! I'm a big white pizza lover, "the garlic" hit every note I hoped for. The pepperoni was classic, their crust is the perfect carrier for the flavorful sauce/cheese/toppings. I was surprised by the Homegrown. I'm not normally a fan of pimento cheese (terrible, I know) but I was intrigued by the mushrooms. The slice was fantastic! Don't forget the pickled Serrano peppers! I look forward to coming back. I want to start with, the pizza at Glide is really good. After the first visit, I signed up for their email list. My family will drive 25 min for this $32 pizza. We have been here several times since we discovered Glide last summer. We made a special trip today, May 2, after I received an email on May 1 for Glide Pizza. It was a coupon for $10 off a $30 order. Great! After clicking the link to redeem the offer through Facebook Messenger, there was an even better coupon, buy 1 pizza get one of equal or lesser value for $10. I follow the instructions to ask for the redemption code when ordering, and the server, Ronan, says I have been instructed by the owner to not accept the coupons. What?!? Not happy. And the only resolution he gave was to contact the owner. I'm not hopeful. I would give it a 2.5 stars after today's visit only for the poor marketing tactics of the business. I think we will give Edgewood Pizza down the road a try. If it's just as good, we won't need to go back. read more
