Great walkable NY-style pizza with a crispy crust and oozing cheese and toppings! I will say, whenever people say "NY pizza", people will feel very strongly about that qualifier. Obviously if you go to NY, that will be the most authentic. But that doesn't mean other cities can't make excellent pizzas as well. I would encourage you to give this place a try and make your own judgements! Given that caveat, I think this place will be a big hit. On a Saturday afternoon/evening on the beltline, the orders never stopped coming. We ordered a full pizza with pepperoni and jalepenos (which comes with ranch and pickled jalapenos). There's sparse seating outdoors (like for about 3 parties), and not all of it is shaded. Most people took theirs to go. It's also summer in the ATL, so lots of bugs outside if you sit down. My only gripe was that is took a realllly long time for it to come out. Probably 6-7 other parties had come and gone. When I went up to the window to ask about it, I think the pizza had been ready for some time, but it was sitting atop a shelf or fridge and they had forgotten. Taste-wise, I loved it! The crust is the best part, it's just so crispy! Their homemade ranch sauce is also super good. Value-wise, I was a bit taken aback to pay $40 for a pizza and one bottle of coke, including tip, but it's a large pizza (maybe around 20 inches?)! Think costco-sized slices. And for 2 people we definitely had leftovers. And of course, it's the beltline so you pay beltline prices. Would definitely come again, but next time I think I'll just get some slices to go rather than a whole pizza and I'll take it walking on the beltline. read more

Takes forever and the pizza is blah. Little to no sauce and the crust is incredibly dry.

It was a GREAT pizza and it was HUGE. But there was a hair on my pizza. The service was amazing and was very nice. The restaurant itself had good decorations and was nice and clean. read more

I stopped in here while walking the beltline on a date. Each of us got a slice to go. There is really only some standing room not really any sort of dining room. The pizza slices are big and made fresh. There are limited other options as far as sides and drinks are concerned so we actually took our slices and went to Krog street market. The crust was good but not phenomenal. There weren't a ton of toppings. It was a very New York style slice. Service was friendly enough and the speed of getting the pizza was nearly immediate. But spending almost $5 for a single slice even though it was large I cannot say it was incredibly worth it read more

Very good, most definitely a NY slice/pie. Toppings were real good, great thin crust. Will go again when back in ATL

AMAZING! I'm in Atlanta for the first time for two days, have had several very very bad experiences at restaurants, but most DEFINITELY not this place! First and foremost, the lady with the blonde hair that took our order was unbelievably nice. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The seating inside is very limited (only two booths) and they were both taken, but she made sure we had a place to sit. She grabbed stoles and made us a makeshift table so we could sit down and eat inside since it was raining. Aside from the great customer service and friendliness, the food is also amazing. We had the Caesar salad which was a nice starter. Basic Caesar salad with a twist with lemon juice and dill (very unique!) never tried a salad like that before. We also had the cheese pizza which was a very solid, thin pizza. Can never go wrong with the cheese pizza, if I'm ever back in Atlanta I will definitely be trying a few different slices. All in all I HIGHLY recommend giving glide a shot, I'm 99% sure you won't be disappointed in any aspect. Please keep up the great quality at glide! read more

As someone who craves legit New York style pizza, Glide hits the mark! It has the right flavors and texture and the walk-up window reminded me of getting and eating slices on the sidewalk in NYC before going off to a show. The service is extremely friendly and charming so was a pleasure. Wish they could make a little room inside for seating. We really appreciated being able to go to the Beltline afterwards which is a flight of steps away. Tip: There is one free spot right near the entrance. read more

Was expecting great things from the reviews I read about and by word of mouth. It's definitely good pizza but my coworker had raved about it and I don't think it was as amazing as he sold it. You can get whole pizzas or by the slice, and they always have some sort of specialty pizza. They just switched their location, and I think I like their new location better than the old one. read more

Why can't we give half stars? This place I had the chance to check out because I was in the area and a bit, bitey! The woman who waited on me was mildly surly, or murly! I thought it was me but she treated the next group of people the same way. Good to know she is an equal opportunity murliess (my word, my review)! People like thay should be doing something else like folding the boxes, away from the public. Now as for the pizza I decided to live on the edge and get sausages on one slice. I think my idea of a topping and there's is vastly different. Pizza wasn't bad, i would stick with cheeses which the can't skimp on, or could they???? I may try the place again! read more

Glide Pizza - Two slices of pizza. One with sausage crumbles! - Pizza Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

I was considering ordering pizza here, but, honestly, after seeing customers pick up their pizza from the window while I was waiting in line, I wasn't interested anymore. I was thirsty, so I stayed in line to order a soda. Glide shares a small, free parking lot off the street with other businesses, so chances are that the parking lot will be full and customers will have to look for street parking. I don't thing even think the parking lot has 10 spaces to. begin with. Glide Pizza conducts business out of a window, and customers have the options of ordering online or physically waiting in line at the order window. This place was busy when I came here two weeks ago at 8 pm on a Friday evening, with lots of people in line and others, who had ordered earlier, waiting around to pick up their orders. When orders are ready, the employee at the window yelled out the customers' names. Customers opting to eat nearby, at picnic tables closer to other businesses, or, as I saw with a couple of customers, opening up the rear doors of SUVs and sitting and eating in the rear of their vehicles. Some customers got their orders on plastic trays, so I was able to get a good look at their food. Most of the slices of pizza that I saw were really skimpy on the toppings, and this is why I decided to forego getting pizza and just sticking with buying a soda. The pizza here is supposedly NY style, and I like NY style pizza made in NY. The pizzas I've had in NY was thin crust, but had a lot of cheese and other toppings on them, and were pliable enough to fold lengthwise. I was watching some of the customers trying to fold their pizza slices, but were unable to properly. I'll pass on this place. I'm sure it's delicious pizza, but I was looking for NY style pizza, and, to me, this wasn't it. The employee at the window was very personable and pleasant, and was pretty good at juggling all orders and trying to get customers through the line as quickly as possible. read more

Overall, the pizza was just okay. Ordered the "Sweet Heat" slice and was disappointed that it did not have much flavor (sweet or heat). The slice alone was $4.50 and with the 2 sides it became a $7 slice. This is a far cry from the $1 slices available in NYC. From other reviews I was expecting the slice to be quite large, but it was average. The walk-up window was very easy and quick for a slice on the go. There were also picnic benches available nearby to eat, which makes the whole experience very COVID-friendly. I wouldn't go out of my way to get a slice from Glide, but it will get the job done if you're in the neighborhood and aren't looking for a great deal. read more

If you want a traditional NY cheese slice this is the place go. My best friend from NY said this was the closest he has tasted in Atlanta. Three visit rule I will not recommend a restaurant until I visit at least three times. read more

Talk about the most unforgettable slice of pizza I've ever had in my life!!! I'm STILL dreaming about that garlic pizza. Plus I love places that sell by the slice so you can try more than one flavor if you want! Glide is located right by Krog St. Market and the BeltLine; they have a little takeout window where you walk up and both place and receive your order. The prices are also really good for the sheer size of these massive slices!!! And don't even get me started on the quality of said slices--they're so crispy and thin and every mouthful is bursting with flavor, even the crust!! I had this a few months ago and I am STILL thinking about it constantly. Definitely going back soon to have a slice of garlic pizza again, and try the pizza ranch. read more

Probably the best pizza on the east side. Thin crust, It doesn't travel well and is best in-house. I'd order in person and take h

I do think this spot is over hyped. Yes, the slices are big and it's thin crust in the spirit of NY, but not in taste. I did prefer the pepperoni so the key may be to bury your pizza in toppings. The employees are fantastic and they're right off the Beltline, but they have their own parking lot. It is a small lot, so there's a good chance it'll be full when you get there. read more

What a privilege to live in a world where Glide Pizza exists. Enormous slices, incredible service. It's just great. The quality of the pizza is insanely delicious. And it'sa pretty cheap date! I got one pepperoni slice and I think it was $4! The slices are crispy and cheesy and perfect. The crust has so much flavor and I didn't want the slice to be over. I didn't see the pizza ranch until after we had paid, but you can bet your bottom dollar I will be ordering that ranch next time! read more

Delicious pizza. Huge slices. The BEST ranch dressing ever. They keep it simple just like in New York. There is no need for a bunch of toppings. The two times I've been.. I've gotten the half cheese half pepperoni and garlic. Always add hot honey on the side. These pizzas are massive and there is always at least 4-5 slices left. Tons of parking. Walk up counter. racist establishment. this has been one of my FAVORITE pizza joints in Atlanta. i have been here countless times. today's experience was highly disappointing and unacceptable. i initially ordered 4 slices of pizza. 2 white slices and 2 pepperoni slices. i observed the 3 ladies sitting next to us enjoying big slices of pepperoni as we waited. and i remember saying "mmm that looks so good, i can't wait for ours." once we received our order our slices of pepperoni were noticeably WAY smaller than the guests next to us. my slice in particular was actually bigger than my girlfriends small slice. the white pizza slices were nothing but bread and parsley sprinkled on top. there was no cheese. so i took the slices back to the young lady working the register. she in turn got flustered and said "well what do you want?" i told her please just give me TWO cheese slices and TWO properly sliced pepperoni slices. about 10mins go by and my girlfriend returns to retrieve the remake slices and this is what we got.... slices of cheese pizza with nothing but bread & sauce. and burnt slices of pepperoni also with dough and sauce. i returned back to the counter to ask her if she was trying to be funny because at this point i feel like you're DELIBERATELY giving me half made pizza. i showed her the slices and showed her how there was little to no cheese and all sauce and she snatches my plates and throws them in the trash. i ask her to please just refund me for the pizza, i come here often and this is NOT the quality i have ever received. she of course then starts with the water works and claims she cannot give a refund and will need to call her manager Simon. she steps to the back for about 5-8mins and returns saying her manager will be here in 10mins from decatur to handle the situation. i have to work, i came here on my lunch break to enjoy a SIMPLE slice in the sun with my girlfriend. she and the chef in the kitchen were rude, disrespectful, spoke to another customer at the window about "beating my a**" and having his 4 sisters come handle it for them. all in all, either a refund or a remake of properly made slices would've sufficed. instead of disrespect, and lack of accountability from Glide staff. instead of apologizing all i got was "well we switch staff, if you don't like it go somewhere else." so now im out $21 plus tip. we have 2 slices of pizza left (that she didn't throw away) just to show what we received. these will also be going in the trash. and yes miss ma'am at Glide we will gladly take our business somewhere else, Solar Slice in Marietta is the BEST New York Style pizza. make sure you all give it a try! read more

Glide Pizza - 0/10 - Pizza Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

Glide Pizza offers the closest approximation to true New York style pies you can get in the city. Pies here run a little expensive (about $30 total when you add toppings) but the quality ingredients and process shine in each bite. The crust here has a crispy exterior with a chewy bite and slightly tart flavor that comes only with good fermentation. The cheese blend of both fresh and dried mozzerella hits all the right creamy and tangy notes, complimented by the freshness of the tomato sauce. While the pies can get pricey, they are 20" and subsequently feed three (maybe four) people. Whole pies come with a small side of pickled peppers, housemade ranch dressing for dipping crusts, and fresh basil to sprinkle on your slices. My only grip with Glide is that the topping selection isn't the biggest, but the toppings they do offer again are quality. You can order pies ahead online; I suggest arriving 10 minutes prior to the quoted pickup time in order to ensure your pizza is as fresh as possible. Additionally, if you're driving to Glide a few parking spots are available in the Irwin St market lot, but these quickly fill during peak hours so walk here if you can. read more

Very frustrated with my experience at the a Decatur location! I typically love glide, but the experience today was awful. I ordered online and my order wasn't ready until a solid 20min after the original time. The majority of the pizza was black on the bottom and the portion that wasn't black was under done. The basil is usually my favorite topping but it was just throw in the bag and not in a container like the other toppings. I'm not sure who was working today, but it definitely was not the the A team. Andddd to make matters worse there is no way to contact glide directly and toast (the app I ordered through) was unable to get me in contact with glide either. @Glide I would like a refund. This ruined my plans for dinner. Also please include a way for customers to contact you directly. The link on your site does not work and there is no phone number for your Decatur location. read more

This was the best NY-style pizza I've had in Atlanta in a while. If you're lactose intolerant like I am, take your lactaid. You'll want to try their homemade ranch sauce with the pizza. Price for a whole pie is reasonable, as whole pies in NY run for much more. The pizza slice holds its shape when carried. Easily fold-able. Oh-so-delicious. Glide is right nearby Krog Street Market. There's parking right in front, but if full, you can opt for street parking or parking at Krog. Order online to pick up, as they close around 9:00pm. read more

A friend of mine has been recommending that I try Glide Pizza because of my love for New York-style pizza. I haven't been to the restaurant in person yet because I want to take my wife with me, my friends Amanda and Jamie decided to order pizza for myself, my dad, and my brother. I was waiting with suspense for the delivery of the pizza and boy oh boy it was worth my time, the service was amazing and the pizza took me back to the days when I would grab a slice of pizza from the pizzeria when I lived in New York. This place is great if you want a quick slice and are coming from the beltline! They have a COVID caution-friendly pizza window at the front of Irwin Street Market. Signs encouraging mask use, and there is hand sanitizer to clean your hands for after you pay on the ipad. There are a few tables outside if you want to eat there, otherwise it's more of a to-go spot/grab a slice and walk down the beltline. There is a patio area with a few more tables on the other side of the building near Jake's Ice Cream. Stopped by yesterday for a quick bite after running errands. The menu is small, but they do slices and whole pies and you can even order online! I got 3 slices, one each of the pepperoni, garlic, and homegrown. The slices were NY style huge/foldable and tasted amazing! The crust had the perfect crispness. The homegrown is something that is unique to Glide and has pimiento cheese, mushrooms, and green onions. It is delicious and I would have never thought to put this combo on a pizza! Already reminiscing on how good it was less than 24 hours later! I would definitely get this. For drinks, they have Montane sparkling water and Mexican coke, diet coke, and sprite. Parking is via street or their small parking lot. Overall a solid choice for something quick and easy on the beltline! read more
