Listen.. this hot link basket is good! I don't think I've ever tasted a link like this before and it was seasoned so well, I'll be back

Noodles they claim is broccoli and rice.

How do you gaslight a customer? I'll explain cause it happened to me here. I asked for items on the menu. Two I didn't get. I called to let them know they didn't put my fries and broccoli and rice in my bag but instead it seems I got a container of cooked noodles. Plain noodles. As I was on the phone with the lady from the front desk, the part owner, her husband rudely interrupts and tells me what I got is how they prepare it. I am so glad I took a picture and video of this because no one would believe me if I told them. They literally gave me noodles. I went back to the place to get my fries and broccoli and rice item. That's where the "gaslighting," began. As I go back to talk to the lady with food in my hand so she can see it, she literally told me that what I got was indeed the broccoli and RICE item. Y'all this was noodles. No rice, no cheese and no broccoli. It wasn't until I pondered later on my way home, this black woman who seemingly has all of her marbles could not bring herself to say, in her husbands presence,it was wrong and they needed to correct it. I realized she is being gaslight by him on a regular basis and that she has learned his ways. He has taught her to be just like him. They sold me something nowhere near close to what I asked for and claimed if I were to get family size there would be more cheese and etc. Y'all again, this is not broccoli and rice. It's noodles. Her husband must be a narcissist and control freak which explains why he doesn't speak the times I've spoken to both. The lady couldn't say it and wouldn't open the container to see it's noodles. Let's imagine you're a customer asking for salmon and you get a slice of pizza instead of salmon. You bring it back so the owners can correct it but when you show them the slice of pizza, they claim it's salmon and it's how they prepare it. That's how dumb I felt talking to them about a simple side item. There is some deep seated issues the man owner is dealing with and it all made sense when they start making me feel like I was wrong. That's why he left so quickly after giving me my order the 1st time. They either ran out of it or he just didn't care what he put in there. I hope he and his wife get the therapy they need. At this point I can discern they have dark issues and wifey is being gaslight and doesn't know it because it's become a way of life for her. I literally threw ALL MY FOOD AWAY at a gas station. She had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to take the noodles with me. I didn't eat nothing except one wing before I went back. I threw everything away once I left and went to a gas station. My dignity and value is more important than money. The male owner is full of darkness and glad I'm able to discern there are deeper issues far greater than giving me the wrong item and unwilling to change it and admit it's wrong. Time reveals all things. Can't hide it for long.

Just to the right of the sign were two Level 2 chargers. We each ordered two 2 meat plates, which included two sides. When we got home and opened the to-go boxes, we realized we had WAY over-ordered. We had enough for two meals for each of us! We had chicken and pork ribs, mac & cheese and flat green beans. It was very tasty with a sweet and spicy barbecue sauce. I spoke with the owner and thanked him for supporting EVs, to which he replied, "How could I not? It's what's coming. How could I not get on board?" He mentioned that quite a few of his customers found him on Plugshare.com and stop by regularly for a meal and charge. I had to Google "So mote it be."

I genuinely want this place to succeed, which is why I still give it chances every so often. Today (Feb 24, 2026) I stopped in with my daughter just to pick up sides. Many menu items were unavailable (we were told no greens), so we ordered cabbage, sweet potatoes, and cornbread. The total was about $15 and I paid $20 and told him to keep the change as a tip. Unfortunately, the food quality was disappointing. The cabbage was essentially plain steamed cabbage -- very underseasoned and more like cafeteria vegetables than braised southern cabbage. I actually had to go home and re-season and cook it further just to make it edible. The sweet potatoes tasted good, but they had a noticeable smoky/BBQ odor, like they had absorbed grease or smoke from the kitchen environment. The cornbread itself was very good, but the portion was extremely small -- basically a sample-sized piece. Considering I tipped $5 on a small order, it would have been nice to include an additional piece or two. The biggest ongoing issue, though, is consistency. Over the years the restaurant is frequently out of items and the quality varies visit to visit. The dining/kitchen area is also visibly worn and could really benefit from a deep clean and upkeep. I truly say this respectfully because I remember how good this place used to be. The potential is still there, but right now the food and overall experience don't match the prices being charged.

All smiles and eager to help, my kind of customer service! We were seated shortly after arrival, with no reservation, so that was nice! We dined in for Sunday brunch, nice sized crowd & the football games were on the TVs. Our server, Kevin, was so sweet and attentive. For the table: Fried catfish - amazing! Not too greasy, cooked perfectly and battered/seasoned well. Kevin confirmed that the fish is cooked in separate oil, win for me when I'm eating pescatarian. Waffle - delicious! Personally, I don't like my waffles crunchy so happy to report theirs were soft and fluffy! They add cinnamon to their batter which is a nice touch. Grits - both the cheese and regular were enjoyed! Cornbread - solid! A nice helping of butter served on top. Margarita - also solid! My only "pain point" would be that the building could use an update inside but clean nonetheless.

Super busy, inside the door was being held open since there was just people coming in and out. Had to get on a waitlist and that took an 45 to an hour to be seated. Once seated, the server wasn't anywhere to be found until 15 minutes after. I'm sure it was extremely backed up. But then the order didn't come after an hour. At that time, I didn't feel as hungry anymore so maybe I'll come back on a slower day. The food was decent but the sides were all pretty sodium loaded and the chicken was pretty greasy. The ambiance was and the hostesses were helpful. I would recommend to go on a slower day at least once if you haven't tried this place. Everything costs $60+, In my opinion the dishes are a bit overpriced. If you're watching out for your calories with this one then just forget it!

Just very sweet especially drinking their half gallon "Mystery" juice which was good, but also pretty diabetes sweet. I tried my best to get the mystery ingredients from one of the cashiers, but she held strong lol. We had the pleasure of meeting Nana herself. Me and my mom enjoyed speaking with her. She was pleasant and friendly. I loved how she was very down to earth. My mom took a photo with her. My server was the sweetest and most polite person. She checked on me and my mom multiple times. She was friendly and helpful. So I must say my service was welcoming and AMAZING! I felt like part of the family! Now it's not a fancy place, but it was clean and cozy. Like a mom and pops place. Condiments are provided on the table. Even roses that were real are in a vase. You can dine in or they have a carry out side. Well I chose fish since that's what I wanted. The 2 piece filet meal comes with 2 sides. They will bring your food out in a plastic container. So if you have left overs it's already set to go. The food came out hot and fresh. The fish was fried nicely. I wish it was seasoned a bit more for my liking. It was pretty good though. It was a great size and again fried to perfection. The hush puppies were really tasty. The fried corn fritter was delicious. The pickled tartar sauce was unique and I loved it. OMG the cabbage was so DAMN GOOD! This stole the show. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned with love. It touched my soul and I wanted to lick my container. The Mac and Cheese was a NO for me. It was like black pepper and cheese sauce. It was just blah and II didn't even eat it. However, others may like it, but it wasn't that great. Sorry Nana! Overall I had a good visit! I will definitely come back and EAT when in the area. The cabbage won me over. I left feeling happy and full. The southern hospitality was FANTASTIC!

While waiting for our food, the server brought out a basket of bread rolls which were very tasty. After a relatively short wait, our food was delivered.
