So let's get into it lol !! I hope no one ever goes to this establishment ever, and that's simply because I want to keep them all to myself . I am so in love !! Soul food cooked and prepared completely with love and care is so hard to find. I first experienced this establishment a couple weeks ago via door dash and I've been stocking their menu daily ever since . Soul food Sundays at this place are not to be played with or ignored at all . My first go around I ordered the neck bones, oxtails, collard greens , cabbage, mac & cheese and candied yams(no judgement, because yes it was all for me ). This time around I got the pigs feet , salisbury steak and two sides of greens.. nothing much to say after admitting that I am a fan .. !! Although I enjoyed everything I ordered , I feel that I must give more acknowledgment and appreciation for the neck bones. They were PERFECTLY seasoned , tender , and whatever else is required to make neck bones exceptionally perfect . I won't make neckbones ever again or get neckbones from any where else but this place moving forward. And the portions are massively given. They've got a forever customer with me, and obviously there are many other people who feel the same , because it was nothing left but onions floating in that pan. I blame myself for why there was no more neck bones , I had been bragging all week to my staff and others about how good they were that I was almost tempted to get a straw to suck up the left over broth/gravy , and I also mentioned how I couldn't wait for Sunday to get me some more , I guess they all went to experience for themselves . I picked up my most recent order and the staff/ owner was really sweet and upfront. Felt very warm and family oriented, and I enjoyed watching the workers / owner interact comfortably with each other and the other customers. There was even a couple who said they had driven a long distance to eat at this restaurant. The owner jokingly confessed that after the after church rush there aren't many options left lol , and I believe her indefinitely. I can definitely see how and why you would need to get there early , because the food at this cafe is so comforting and fulfilling. It's a great way to end your Sundays. The set up matches the title perfectly. Cafe set up allowing you to see all the amazing food options . Surprisingly, bigger than I imagine. And looked like to me that the cafe sits on its own private lot, so tremendous parking spots . They open at 11am , my plans to be sitting in the parking lot by 10:30 every Sunday , first come first serve lol !!!!!! read more

Whoa!! I have found a gem for my true foodies out there!! So let's get into this review..... First, if you're not looking for it, you might miss it! There's nothing that stands out about this place so you just have to make sure you look for it. Me and my husband walked in, and we were immediately greeted even though he was already complaining because he hadn't seen the menu yet, and he hates when we try new places. However, we pushed forward and went over to the food. It's set up kind of like an old school cafeteria where you see what's on the line and you pick what you want. Everything looked delicious! On the menu: Chicken Tetrazzini, Salisbury Steak, Smothered Pork Chops , Baked Chicken, and Turkey Wings, which included yams, green beans, black eyed peas, mac and cheese, rice, corn, cabbage, dressing, and squash casserole! My husband got the smothered pork chops over rice, green beans, squash/zucchini casserole, and I got the salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese. These were some truly generous helpings . My husband was supposed to get two pork chops but insisted in one because it was so much food and I couldn't even finish all of my food either! The meals come with cornbread and you can get soda, lemonade, tea, or even kool aid for about $2.00 more. We chose to dine in instead of taking it to go so we could dig in right away. The food was seasoned well, flavorful, and served hot! We hurt ourselves in that restaurant! I recommend everyone to try them out for a good down home cooked meal. You won't be disappointed. Oh I forgot, the menu changes daily! So you might have to go at least 2 or 3 times a week to sample all of the goodies. I did get a piece of chocolate cake but I couldn't eat that cake!! I have been coming here since they opened, they have buffet style and menu items to order from as well. Everything I have gotten so far has been seasoned properly and tastes real good, which is made home made. I have to say my favorite has to be the stuffed turkey leg. The meat falls right off the bone! The turkey leg is covered in a sauce along with rice and shrimp. The portion are normally so big, you can get two meals out of them. read more
