Show Stopper Potato, Pretty damn good..!

I've only tried the Show Stopper Loaded (Seafood) Baked Potato. It's in the hood so be prepared. But don't miss out on this treat to yourself, it's worth it..! Great customer service to add.

German chocolate cake

My brother introduced our family to this place because he's learned about them on social media. After trying the food, I can understand what the hype was all about. Everything we ordered was delicious! My biggest issues was how long it took to get the orders out for everyone in our party. There were four of us total and the time from the first meal being ready to the last one being brought out was nearly 30 minutes. I don't know if it was because they had a lot of mobile orders or big orders ahead of us, but it was a long wait. Now I'm back to the food itself, I got the twisted Philly bowl which came with their signature sauce along with plenty of Philly steak a bed of pasta. this meal was so flavorful and filling and I definitely wanted to go back for seconds but I had plenty leftover. In terms of dessert, we try to variety of things, including the German chocolate as well as the 7-Up cake. I enjoyed them both, but the seven up cake stood out a little bit more to me. It's not a very large place inside and most orders were definitely takeout, but there was space for us to all fit and enjoy our meal together, but definitely more of a grab and go kind of spot

Always great customer service! Mary and her son run this location excellently. He always gives a smile and great service to the customers. Mary is like a celebrity to her supporters and she comed out and greats most of them. The food is amazing. Today I got the delicious pork chops basket. You get a buzzer to know when your food is ready and it doesn't take very long for the items to be served to go.

Seafood pasta with Mardi Gras sauce

Ordered upon arrival. There was a 30 minute wait from the time I placed my order but it was to be expected. The staff were friendly. About 3 people were waiting ahead of me. They give you a buzzer to alert you when your food is ready. When I did receive it, it was hot. I ordered the seafood pasta with mardi gras sauce. It was definitely filled with seafood. Not bad. I wanted the peach cobbler cake but it wasn't available. I opted for the chocolate cake bowl. Very moist. I had no intention of getting the kool aid but who am I to deprive myself of this popular drink but kool aid is kool aid. Check this place out.

25 mile drive, but worth it. The customer service was great, very informative and friendly with a great smile Ordered 3 entrees, and not a long wait at all. The fried pork chop plate brought back memories of growing up in Beaumont Tx...very tender and seasoned well. The French Fries were standard but good! The seafood pasta Mardi gras had great flavor and a lot of shrimp, crawfish and lobster. The chicken and shrimp pasta was the same as far as a lot of seafood, but each had different flavors that I enjoyed. The 3 plates can provide enough food for 7 people with no complaints. This a great spot for pickup and I definitely will go back! Recommend!

The food was good. The service was good but not much sitting area for people to eat though. Defiantly that food that will put you to sleep.

Chicken pasta minus potatoes, salmon and shrimp pasta, vanilla wafer pudding, peach cobbler cake.

Here's a lil hidden gym in the southern Dallas area that is worth checking out. They got some Cajun pasta with some unique blend of flavors. I had salmon and shrimp pasta. Was delicious. They was outta potatoes for the chicken and potato but I'm not picky. I'm sure they potatoes was good cuz they was gone LOL. But they had some cooking just would have been a longer wait. They got a buzz system like whataburger so you can wait in the car until your order is ready. There's even desserts. Got the wafer pudding and a peach cobbler cake. Sounds interesting. Overall it's worth going back for more. Surprised they only got 2 reviews before me.

Cookie pudding

The customer service was very good. You can tell this is a family own place I was greeted upon entry and thanked for my order. The cookie pudding was good just a hair too sweet for me BUT it was delicious like a banana pudding without bananas. The pork chops were cooked pretty well however only 1 of them seem to be seasoned (the top one) it was the same seasoning that they put on the fries and they were just a bit dry. They are thick pork chops so, I know they wanted to make sure they were cooked. I waited about 20 min for my order. Overall it was good and I would return.

When Yelp says do you recommend, I want to put a H* Yeah! I need for everyone to stop what they are doing and get to Oak Cliff/ Redbird area. Don't walk, don't run, fly baby fly! I am addicted to the seafood potato. No potato should taste this good. But oh it does. Your feet will do a wiggle because the food is so good. Chef Salad! Mary is the Queen of it! I have never in life had a salad so well prepared. It didn't make it home. Great customer service with an at home feel. You know the place is built on clean love. You will feel at home.

Nice place. I had the showstopper with shrimp. The food was very good and well seasoned. They gave me plenty of shrimp. Great service! They even gave me a free drink. I found a new shot and I will return.

The server was polite and the food was off the chain, that means good. I'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, this visit was more "it could've been better" than "I need to come back." THE VIBE Walking in, the first thing you'll notice is the music. Music is definitely part of the atmosphere at establishments like this, especially during the daytime, but it was a little too loud for the space. We actually had trouble hearing our waitress from across the bar, which made ordering more difficult than it needed to be. The restaurant itself was clean, but staffing seemed to be a major issue. Our waitress was essentially the entire front of house operation greeting guests, taking orders, preparing drinks, serving customers, and handling checks. That's a LOT for one person, and it showed. Our food took a while to come out, and getting checked out at the end took some patience as well. Because she was handling so much on her own, tables that needed to be wiped down were left waiting. RESTROOM CHECK The ladies' restroom definitely needs some attention. There was only one stall, and unfortunately, the toilet was backed up. Since there wasn't another stall available, I had no choice but to use it. Definitely not the most pleasant part of the visit. My family ordered several things so we could get a good feel for the menu: Catfish Basket The catfish was fried way too hard for my liking and was lacking the seasoning I was expecting from a Cajun seafood spot. I wanted more flavor and that signature Cajun kick. Lemon Pepper Wings Basket These tasted more like regular fried chicken wings than lemon pepper wings. The lemon pepper seasoning was barely noticeable. The fries were also a miss -- soggy and lacking flavor. Shrimp Po'Boy + Fried Okra This was probably my biggest disappointment. A po'boy should traditionally been served on French bread, but this came on a much smaller bun similar to a hotdog bun. Because of that, the toppings were constantly trying to escape the sandwich. The shrimp was overcooked, dry, and tough, which really took away from the sandwich. I had to bring in some reinforcements with the hot sauce and homemade tartar sauce just to make it more enjoyable. The pricing was pretty average for a seafood restaurant, so I didn't feel like we were overcharged. One thing I did appreciate: there was no automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill. Given the service during our visit, I appreciated having the opportunity to decide what I felt was appropriate. I think Phatt's has the foundation to be a really good neighborhood seafood spot. The concept is there, the restaurant was clean, and the prices were reasonable. But this visit felt like the seasoning, preparation, staffing, and overall attention to detail were missing.

I asked the scanning tech working in the Cardiology Clinic who was working with me if by any chance she had eaten there . She acknowledged that she had and the food is prepared according to your request. After my appointment the next step before heading home was at Phat Matt's . It was dark wasn't sure they were opened. The open sign was lit . I turned the door handle to go inside . It was a small place dark with chairs and a table or two . Gave off vibes you can sit while you wait for you order to be prepared but once ready paid for proceed out the door you came in. . There wasn't any customers inside just a young man probably no more than 22 working by himself. The menu is posted on the wall in colorful chalk written by someone with a nice penmanship. My eyes focused on the catfish category on the wall. Oh before I forget its a "Cash Only" business . I had to look inside my wristlet to make sure I had money to pay for my meal. Some of the chalk writing was smeared . I learned the cook on duty when I visited was named Jacoby. He was average height thin he looked a little tired or maybe lacking some energy. He came to the counter to see if I was ready to place my order. I responded I was . I started out stating for me what I didn't want. On my 3pc catfish basket I did not want any hushpuppies or a slice of white bread cut in half or possibly toasted to be included. I didn't time Jacoby but its wasn't too long of a wait . I asked him if I could take pictures of the menu in case I wanted to stop by again if the food was good after my next appointment at the VA The food was smelling good nice and hot . My food was in a little paper basket inside a white paper bag . I grabbed a few napkins nearby. There was a tip jar in the counter . I left a couple of dollars as I picked up my order inside the white bag he had gently placed on the counter. Thank God for safe traveling grace and arriving mercies to my home . I stopped by QT on my way home to get a large frozen coke . Surprisedly the food was still pretty hot from my nineteen miles journey. I forgot to request my fish be fried hard paper on the side of the basket . I smelled it strongly from the moment I picked up my order from the counter. Fries were nestled under the three flaky crispy filets. The fries were soft kinda soggy but edible. I was able to eat this meal and enjoy for a couple of days . I plan to stop by again whenever I have my next appointment at the VA. Chef's ‍ kiss
