Okay Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen!!! Y'all are back on top! The food and service are back to greatness. Let's hope it stays this way, because I'll definitely be back every week. Yum!!

I normally enjoy Pappadeaux's, but the Duncanville location really needs to get it together when it comes to managing reservations and walk-ins for dine-in service. The host staff seemed unclear about how seating is supposed to work, especially regarding bar seating that is marked as "reservations only." There were multiple open seats sitting unused while walk-in guests were left waiting, and the hosts appeared hesitant or afraid to explain to guests when they needed to move from reserved bar areas. This caused unnecessary confusion and slowed down the entire dining flow. Instead of allowing guests to sit, order, and turn over tables efficiently, seats were left empty for no clear reason. This feels like a management and training issue more than anything. Clear communication, confident hosts, and better coordination between reservations and walk-ins would make a huge difference. Hopefully management addresses this, because it made the experience more frustrating than it needed to be.

Sautéed Crab Fingers with savory grits

I had a great experience dining at Pappadeaux! I ordered the sautéed crab fingers with savory grits, and both came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. I also enjoyed a Swamp Thing cocktail that was perfectly balanced with just the right blend of alcohol and fruity notes. I chose to sit at the bar, which was a bit louder than the main dining area, but the lively atmosphere actually added to the experience. Parking was plentiful, making arrival easy and stress-free. The service was excellent--my waiter was attentive, friendly, and even brought out warm bread to start. Overall, a delicious and enjoyable visit. I'll definitely be back!

Wonderful experience this evening. We had a reservation and were seated as soon as we walked in the door. It was busy but not packed and the servers were busy delivering drinks and food non-stop. The food was delicious I have the Mardi Gras pasta and had plenty left overs. It was relaxing and not too loud. We will be back!!!

Oh my was the food scrumptious! Cooked fresh to order and our hostess was great. The decor fit all the variety of food you can order. It seems like a Louisiana feel with the music playing. The people were all enjoying the food and their company. I ordered the 2 piece Catfish and fried Butterfly Shrimp with fries. The restroom was very clean and loaded with all necessities. It was crowded but not too crowded. A perfect outing with friends and family. It did not disappoint.

I went here for a birthday dinner and our server Ashley was super kind and ensured our drinks and entire table was cared for. The food was also good and there wasn't a long wait.

The crab cake was simply succulent and made my mouth water with delight.

The food at Pappadeaux has never disappointed us. Exceptionally clean and fresh with a nice presentation. We had a wonderful waiter who was very attentive. My only negative was the dessert that I enjoy here most of all, the Cream Brûlée was sold out.

Pappadeaux's is a familiar name to so many. While in town for a conference, we chose to drop by Pappadeaux's for a meal. What a wonderful evening we had. The establishment was decorated for the holidays and created a warm elegant atmosphere. The host staff were welcoming and efficient. We were immediately seated and greeted by our server, Michael. He started by taking our drink order and bringing us fresh bread with butter. It was so good. I think it's safe to say the highlight of our visit was the exceptional service provided by Michael. He was knowledgeable about the menu and even made some excellent suggestions. His demeanor was kind, but not overbearing. Very thoughtful with questions that let us to have the most wonderful meal. We began our meal with the appetizer of calamari and octopus. It came with sides remoulade and marinara sauce. For dinner, we followed Michael's suggestion of the salmon Alexander. It was so good. It was grilled salmon with shrimp, scallops, and crawfish with a delightful sauce. We chose broccolini for our side. So thankful they do substitutions. The food was good but the service was outstanding. We will definitely visit this location next time we are in the area.

One of my favorite DFW restaurants. I always take my out of town guest here, they love it! The staff are always polite and attentive and the food is always so favorable. I don't think I've ever ate anything I didn't like and there is always something to discover new on the menu. I love the red beans, sausage and rice, catfish étouffée, and pasta Mardi Gras to name a few. The sweet potato pie for dessert. That's if I don't get filed up on the salad and bread. The quality exceeds the price paid.

Our server Faith was thorough and attentive, she made sure our orders came out on time and if we needed anything she made sure we had it. Restaurant was clean comfortable. Food was amazing, Gumbo was nice and had a lot of flavor, could jave been a bit Spicer but really good. Baked potatoe was huge and really good as were the cocktails. When in Desoto TX. We will for sure come back. Did I say the cocktails were the best.

Lobster come with pasta.

I got the 2 pound lobster and split it with my girlfriend. We got a side of red beans and rice. Also crème brûlée for dessert

Interesting place Mickle's. VERY high energy ownership with exceptional quality Gumbo, red beans…read moreand rice and fried catfish and still, in this current economy, fairly modest prices. The Cajun Kitchen has been here in the Red Bird area of Oak Cliff for 10 years and this was our first visit. Only open M - F from 11 - 5:30p, this is a busy place. Nearly everything is cooked to order. The Gumbo was terrific. I like mine with okra and peppers and onion that I can SEE and it didn't have that, but their smooth spicy dark roux was delicious. I counted 6 large perfectly cooked shrimp in my pint of Gumbo with some diced chicken and sliced sausage and little bits of ham. I also like garlic bread. But honestly, it's hard to be too picky with something this good! Pint - $10.99 Next time, I'll just get it to go and do what I want to it at home. Lol. We also had the posted special - the Catfish Special for $10.99 The Catfish is some of the best that I've had in awhile! The cornmeal is seasoned to perfection, then the fish is fried to perfection and gently cradled on a slice of wheat bread. Um hm. Wheat bread. OMG. Two perfect pieces were served with some AWESOME red beans and rice. I just wasn't feeling fries and a substitution was made for the most glorious red beans and rice! So very good. A can of soda or bottle of water is included. Whole pickled jalapeños are available for 59 cents each. Yes! Have to have some of those, too. I stuffed myself and then took the rest home. As did my husband. For whatever the dining room may have lacked in ambiance, it more than made up in a good time. The A/C was good, the tables were comfortable and the service was friendly, kind and helpful. There's plenty of parking. They have to go and pick up spaces for food out front. BTW There's both baked and fried fish and chicken which sounds amazing. I hope to try both!

It was ok. It is dark inside. But I love the sit in your car and order and they bring it out to you.read more
