Honest Review Restaurant: 4/5 The restaurant is on the smaller side, but it has a nice atmosphere. They also have outdoor seating, which is a plus. The music wasn't too loud, so it was easy to have a conversation with both our server and the people at our table. They had the UFC and a soccer match playing while we ate, which made for a fun environment. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because my husband thought the restrooms could use an upgrade. We also had our two small children with us, and they immediately offered us a high chair. They have menu options for kids as well, which was appreciated. Food & Drinks: 3/5 I'm always on the hunt for really good Mexican and Tex-Mex food, especially tacos. I don't think the food was bad at all, but some of the dishes reminded me of bar food, which tends to be on the salty side to encourage customers to order more drinks. I asked my husband what he thought because I'm generally not a fan of salty food, and he agreed with me on some of the dishes. The tacos were well presented and had a generous amount of meat. The beans were delicious, but the rice was a little too salty for our taste. The salsas also needed more heat--especially the classic orange salsa. It should have had a lot more kick! They were also a bit salty. I did enjoy the quesabirrias, and I wouldn't mind coming back to try other items on the menu. I ordered a margarita on the rocks, and I really enjoyed it. I'm usually not a fan of margaritas because they're often too sour or too salty, but this one was well balanced. Service: 5/5 (Me) | 4/5 (My Husband) I thought the service was excellent. The servers were very attentive, and that's always something I appreciate. The restaurant wasn't too busy when we arrived, and two different servers checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. My husband joked that they came by a little too often because he just wanted to eat without interruptions. Even so, he agreed that the service was very good. They even made fresh lemonade for our kids, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall I'm not sure how long they've been open, but it's a nice spot with a welcoming atmosphere. They also have a bar area, so we'll probably come back to try more of their drinks and other menu items. I always believe newer businesses benefit from constructive feedback, and that's the spirit of this review. Overall, I think they're doing a good job. I'd recommend giving them a try--maybe order a couple of items first and see if it's your kind of place. Everyone's taste is different, and you may end up finding a new favorite read more

Our first time trying this place and everything we ate was DELICIOUS! My husband had tripas tacos served with rice and beans (the charro beans were so good) I had the beefsteak torta and fries. Super tasty sandwich that was big enough to feed 2 people. My daughter had the chilaquiles with birria. Lots of flavor and she enjoyed it. We will be back to support this local restaurant in Duncanville, happy to find this great place! read more

Went late on a Saturday afternoon, there was no wait or much of a crowd. They tend to get busy the closer it gets to dinner time. It's a smaller sized restaurant with seating inside and outside. This place is amazing. The food is great and they've been expanding their menu and drink selection these past few months. And the music is great! We've been coming here since it opened and have always been greeted with wonderful service. That is up until this morning with the male bartender with glasses and tattoos that created a hostile, inappropriate environment for my group. He showed us a picture of his gunshot wound to begin with completely unprompted. My boyfriend was conversing with him over Mexican soccer and engaging in the normal banter. We had a friend join us after we had been served water so my boyfriend ordered 2 beers. The bartender ignored this and kept going back to the soccer conversation so our friend asked for a beer and the bartender held his hand up and told him to wait his turn because he was attending us. My boyfriend noticed this and ordered their beers again to which he was told "yeah I thought you were going to choke on your water." We ignored this and made a comment that the beer taps usually don't work to which he got offended and told us to go next door then. We ignored this and he said, "Did you hear me? I said you can go next door." He then proceeded to cut my boyfriend off after only being served a water!! We were extremely uncomfortable and decided to leave. My intention was to send this directly to the business owner in a private manner but couldn't find a contact us page to do this through. I can't rate on service but I can rate on food! I did a DoorDash order! Baby! When I say this is the best Elote, I have ever had. I was like what is this beautiful feeling in my mouth. The Charro Beans. Let me describe it first. Delicious Charro Beans Soup, Made with bacon premium sausage, onion, cilantro and a variety of spices. Then they had the nerve to taste good! I promise I could eat this alone. It has a nice kick at the end! I also got the 6 " inch Campechana. It is a Flour Tortilla like a taco style with Beefsteak and Trompo mixed with melted cheese. Served with onions, cilantro and grilled onions. I should have got more verde sauce because the enhancement of the taste is divine. The 4 Quesabirrias Shredded seasoned beef with melted cheese, with onions and cilantro , served with consome broth . I have had many quesabirrias and some taste like trash. This one! Hit the spot. Man I have been trying to find a great Mexican spot close by in Duncanville forever. These people have been here coming up on a year. I've never been in before until today. The food was incredible. The music is nice and fun. Created some great ambience love the color scheme. The service was incredible and it was the perfect middle of my day. The beans are completely original at this location in the Rice is super delicate and very tasty. All of the meats are freshly made, and they set up the plate perfectly. Before we get to food, I want to address the the service.. I went in and ordered a take out order. I ordered, paid, and even tipped!! He said it would be 10 minutes. I go sit outside to wait. I am sitting left of the door as you exit the restaurant. While waiting, 2 Hispanic ladies show up. They go in, and then come right back out and sit outside. (Weather was nice). They sit far right of the door. He comes out with my food and walks to their table. Then turned around to me and raises the big up, as if to say, this is yours. He sets it on the table behind him and turns aback around to talk to them. I felt it was extremely disrespectful. Not even the decency to bring my food to me. The food. Well. I opened the vow of queso, and the first thing i see is a long hair! Not mine. I'm bald. So that grossed me out and I didn't eat anything. A group of five of us visited this establishment last night. When we ordered our drinks with our server, Zoe, only 3 out of 5 drinks were correct--twice. She did correct them, but it was already frustrating. When our food arrived, one of the main dishes was missing avocados, and we were not informed of this before placing the order. Another plate was missing elote. On top of that, during the second round of drinks, only 2 out of 5 were correct. After taking just a few bites of my food, I began to feel nauseous. Later that night, I experienced excessive vomiting and diarrhea. I reached out to management about the situation and was told that this was my responsibility and that they were not at fault because they had recently passed an inspection. Based on other reviews, this is not the first time someone has experienced this here, despite management claiming it has never happened before. Please be cautious when trying new places. I was so upset when I went yesterday. This place is always so good and great service. I brag about this place all the time. Yesterday the chips were stale so I had them replaced but seems to me they just brought back the same ones back, there was 3 people discussing my complaint about the chips I could see them for my seat. Also the birria quesadillas were not cooked the same way. The tortilla was red and usually they're dipped in red sauce not red tortilla, that tasted stale as well. This place is a little pricey but I don't mind the price cause the food was always good but I give them a thumbs down on my food yesterday. Just sayn. read more
