First time here, jest happened to be in the area for work. Two of us came in for breakfast. The server was really nice and brought us 3 different salsas to try (the creamy green one ROCKED!). We ordered the Chilequiles and Huevos Divorciados. The HD was delicious, although tasted as if needed salt. Her Chilequiles also tasted as if it needed salt. So we added salt, but if the cook does not season the food while it's cooking, it's hard to add enough to add flavor. The chips had more salt than the food, but I love salt. Live down the street and finally decided to check out this stop and well it just wasn't for us. Very unorganized when it comes to the waitresses seems like they all work all tables. Food did take a while to arrive but plus side was that it was hot but that's it. Sauces had no spice to them, the "fajita" texture was more of chucks of beef that just got semi chopped up. Saw a few flies so don't know if they don't have that light that restaurants have to attract them because they were around the tables a lot. read more

Today I visited this restaurant for the third and final time. I usually go to the Grand Prairie location but today I had errands nearby so I opted for takeout at the Cedar Hill location. That was a grand mistake. I called ahead and placed my order over the phone per usual for a three taco plate extra tomato, sour cream on the side And a dozen tamales. Upon arriving 15 minutes later my order was not ready which has never happened and the sour cream was missing yet, I was charged extra for that and tomatoes which the Grand Prairie location never does. To top it all off the taco meat /fajita beef had a rancid smell and unsettling taste as well. I hope I do not get sick from consuming wet portion. I was able to, but I definitely did not receive the value for which I paid today and the service was not as good as the other location I won't be returning. read more

A buddy of mine and I stopped into Tacos Azteca for lunch one day and had the best experience. The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was great! Hot and flavorful. The chips were fresh and crisp and the salsa was tangy and spicy. He had the caldo de res and I the verde chicken enchiladas. It was all very good. This hidden gem really surprised us. As you walk in, you can tell the restaurant was clean. Big plus!! Service was great. Food was good. We came for breakfast and got the green chilaquiles. My husband got tripa tacos and I got a taco of Rajas con queso. It was all were pretty good. We just needed to add a tab bit of salt to the beans and potatoes. Desert was amazing! I used to love ordering from this place. Food was consistently pretty good. I don't know what is going on but they have gone down hill. I bit into my carnitas taco and it was just pieces of unrendered fat with tiny pieces of actual meat. My whole plate went into the trash. read more

This building was originally a Braums, but now a second location for Tacos Azteca. It's challenging to give this place an accurate review. I ordered a taco, gordita, and a sope, which I have never had the latter two before. I don't have a benchmark to compare them with. Overall my food was alright, but definitely authentic! This brand new location is still working out the kinks with orders. My taco was on a corn tortilla when I asked for flour and somehow my order was to go, but I was eating in. Not a big issue for me at all. The menu is not as extensive as the Grand Prairie location yet. There is still room for improvement which is a good thing. My service was very good and I love the sink were I can wash my hands without going into the bathroom. Every food establishment should have one. read more
