We decided to stop by after reading the great reviews since we were in the area for a tournament. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The tacos lacked flavor, and the gordita was very plain. To make matters worse, the prices at the register didn't match what was listed on the menu. I ended up paying $6 for a medium horchata, which cost more than my gordita. After attending a basketball tournament nearby, I brought my son and his friend here to eat. We of course checked YELP reviews prior to coming here, and they were stellar. We were acknowledged and seated pretty fast by a very welcoming young lady. We got our menus and began to investigate the delicious food. After a short peruse of the menu, we decide its time to order, the waitress comes back, answers a few questions and we're good to go. Next is when the magic happens... the food arrives... WOW The buritto was the size of a small farm animal.... The food smelled so good I wanted to put a bed in this place and make it my new home!!! They have pretty healthy sized portions, and equally delicious... I was not able to finish my food, and my sons friend ate himself to sleep... LOL The food is super good, it reminds me more of California side Mexican food, not Tex-Mex... and that's what I like. My wife's fajitas were magical, and she was able to bring home a great sized snack for later with her leftovers. The place is a little older, and the building is not as new as some places you'll go... also, the bathrooms are a little older and look a little worn... but the food was awesome. BOMB! This has been the best tacos I have had in DFW so far. Here you will authentic experience from the jump! I feel like there are so many places selling tacos, but are doing a poor job. Not here folks! Pricing is appropriate, quality is outstanding. They do not rush your food, but get things done in a timely manner. Each taco had a generous amount of meat packed with flavor! We used to come here religiously because it was so good and reasonably priced, however, the last three times we visited, the food was horrible. Nothing like it used to be. We thought at first they were just having a bad day so we tried again and it was the same. Third time, we gave it a couple months before we went back and again, it was not good. I don't know if inflation gave them no choice but to do things cheaper but whatever they changed was not a good change at all. No one was happy with the normal food we always ordered. It just didn't taste the same and definitely not as good as it used to be. It's been a while and maybe they've gone back to the way they used to be but I don't think we will be trying again anytime soon. read more

Went in around 7:30pm yesterday. I NEVER write reviews, but this place gave me and my girlfriend food poisoning. We got chicken and steak tacos, and the birria tacos. They charge around 20$ for the birria tacos which is actually insane when the dipping soup just looked like dirty brown water and the tacos were disgusting so she ended up having some of my tacos which I'd rate a 3/10. Then this morning, we both had really bad stomach problems and let's just say it was clear as day we had food poisoning once we got to the toilet. GO GET TACOS ELSE WHERE, this overpriced mediocre food is not worth food poisoning. Food poisoning is a clear sign that they don't take proper food measures in the kitchen and will give anything to their customers. Bad establishment and bad chefs. There's so many better tacos places than this and you don't have to question if you'll get food poisoning. read more

I came here during lunch just to get tacos . It's loud music but don't let that fool you. The tacos have a lot of flavor and the people in the counter speak Spanish and English. Very pleased! Wife got Tacos Al Carbon and I got the three tacos special and everything we had was delicious. The steak was the best thing we had by far! Their red salsa was good but it is hot. We were surprised at the end to see we got charged for chips even though they were placed on our table when we sat down. It's a small place but great food, we had the green chilaquiles which came with beans and potatoes and the huevos divorciados. Sauces on them are spicy but flavorful. It isn't really advertised on the menu , but they do indeed sell/ serve birria. I've even instructed them on how to make my birria burrito to perfection. They have the BEST consumé broth ever . So savory and yummy. My daughter loves their street tacos preferably the chicken in which I can agree their chicken tacos are seasoned perfectly. The main server (very gorgeous heavy set Hispanic lady ), she's the one who speaks the better English but she's always so pleasant. She even gives me suggestions on how to order my food and tells me her thoughts on certain dishes. Tried this place as an out-of-town visitor to Midlothian. We liked the food, but a few items were not provided in our takeout. I think the total was $80 and easily fed four adults and six kids with meals to spare. Just frustrated that we drove 25 minutes each way and left a $15 tip for take out just to not receive another $15 in food. read more

The potatoes were room temperature and I thought that was weird but I was hungry and at them anyway. BIG MISTAKE. About 30-45 minutes later my stomach felt like I got punched. For the next 2 days I was in misery sick to my stomach and in the bathroom a lot. Make sure to ask your food be HOT when you get it. I just had the best Asado de Puerco I think I've ever had. My wife had the Caldo de Res and she said it was very good as well. We come here often, but I never tried the Asado de Puerco as they call it something... Colorado. Small, family run place. Clean and the waitstaff is very friendly and very good. Extensive menu and they have a daily special. The hot sauce brought out with the chips is really hot with spice so I stayed with the green sauce. I had the street taco plate. The refried beans r so good. Fresh tasting and not greasy. Spanish rice is also very good. 3 tacos of your choice. I got pastor, and chicken. Pork was a little grisly but seasoned well as was the chicken. My husband had the Gordita plate. They were super delicious. Crispy masa pockets that were thin but fried just right. I would definitely go back back for either dish. Reasonably priced with refills for ice tea.
