After attending a basketball tournament nearby, I brought my son and his friend here to eat. We of course checked YELP reviews prior to coming here, and they were stellar. We were acknowledged and seated pretty fast by a very welcoming young lady. We got our menus and began to investigate the delicious food. After a short peruse of the menu, we decide its time to order, the waitress comes back, answers a few questions and we're good to go. Next is when the magic happens... the food arrives... WOW The buritto was the size of a small farm animal.... The food smelled so good I wanted to put a bed in this place and make it my new home!!! They have pretty healthy sized portions, and equally delicious... I was not able to finish my food, and my sons friend ate himself to sleep... LOL The food is super good, it reminds me more of California side Mexican food, not Tex-Mex... and that's what I like. My wife's fajitas were magical, and she was able to bring home a great sized snack for later with her leftovers. The place is a little older, and the building is not as new as some places you'll go... also, the bathrooms are a little older and look a little worn... but the food was awesome. BOMB! This has been the best tacos I have had in DFW so far. Here you will authentic experience from the jump! I feel like there are so many places selling tacos, but are doing a poor job. We used to come here religiously because it was so good and reasonably priced, however, the last three times we visited, the food was horrible. Nothing like it used to be. We thought at first they were just having a bad day so we tried again and it was the same. Third time, we gave it a couple months before we went back and again, it was not good. I don't know if inflation gave them no choice but to do things cheaper but whatever they changed was not a good change at all. No one was happy with the normal food we always ordered. It just didn't taste the same and definitely not as good as it used to be. Went in around 7:30pm yesterday. I NEVER write reviews, but this place gave me and my girlfriend food poisoning. We got chicken and steak tacos, and the birria tacos. They charge around 20$ for the birria tacos which is actually insane when the dipping soup just looked like dirty brown water and the tacos were disgusting so she ended up having some of my tacos which I'd rate a 3/10. Then this morning, we both had really bad stomach problems and let's just say it was clear as day we had food poisoning once we got to the toilet. GO GET TACOS ELSE WHERE, this overpriced mediocre food is not worth food poisoning. Food poisoning is a clear sign that they don't take proper food measures in the kitchen and will give anything to their customers. Bad establishment and bad chefs. It's a small place but great food, we had the green chilaquiles which came with beans and potatoes and the huevos divorciados. Sauces on them are spicy but flavorful. Tried this place as an out-of-town visitor to Midlothian. We liked the food, but a few items were not provided in our takeout. I think the total was $80 and easily fed four adults and six kids with meals to spare.
