Delicious!!! This place is so clean and welcoming and the food was so yummy. Prepared fast and made to order with authentic flavors. I loved everything we ate from this restaurant. And the workers were so kind. We will try them out again for sure!

Sandra (waitstaff) was great assisting us with our order, very friendly, good customer service…read moreskills. Building was very nicely done & clean. Sitting area was perfect for my family. We ordered Enchiladas Chicken, Quesadilla plate, & they had Aguas Frescas. All the food was hot & taste great. Portions were perfect for the price. This definitely hit my Mexican food need, having been out of NM for 2 weeks. 3 adults eating for $43 wasn't bad at all.

After church, our pastor recommended this place for the tacos and menudo, and the menu offers so…read moremany options to choose from! Definitely authentic Mexican food and decent service. Polish up on your Spanish I was most impressed with the complimentary chips w/3 types of salsa and small bowls of frijoles a la charra for each of us YUM the beans were D-lish! I like to try what hasn't been reviewed yet so I had the Pozole Rojo (red hominy soup w/pork meat & spices) Very big serving bowl with lots of broth w/plain crisp tostadas x3. The Menudo and the Pozole were definitely at least a level 3 spice for me (but I'ma wimp when it comes to spice). The menudo, same generous size bowl, was too spicy for Ma so we took it to-go for my dad. Bro ordered Enchiladas Verdes plate w/chicken.. again very generous portion w/4 enchiladas rice n beans. The green sauce was a little spicy as well for him. He only ate half. Grandson ordered beef asada quesadilla plate which he loved served with rice and beans. Granddaughter ordered 2 plain bean and cheese tostadas but expected cheddar cheese and not queso fresco... well, I gobbled those up for her too! To drink, sweet tea has free refills, the large Jamaica was tasty, and the kids opted for Jarritos. It was 84.99 for three adults and two kids. A little pricy in my opinion but I'd go again to try more menu entrees.

Love this gem buried in Cedar Hill! Stopped in for breakfast on a whim based on previous reviews…read more My family and I were greeted warmly and encouraged to sit anywhere. The waitress was kind enough to help us with the menu and make recommendations for our kiddo. Casual place, amazing food! I had the huevos con carne asada - SO GOOD! The salsa verde - SO GOOD! The pecan short-stack - SO GOOD! Definitely worth stopping in! Enjoy!

Fajitas and good times!…read more I saw this place initially advertised on facebook with their $1.99 margarita's. I mean ONLY $1.99?! Decided to go here for lunch since it wasn't that far from me. Definitely a hole in the wall GEM. So many specials and the prices are very reasonable from breakfast-lunch-dinner. They start you off with chips, queso and salsa. One of my first times seeing 'queso' as a dish along with salsa. Usually it's an extra charge. I had the mango margarita which was pretty good! Happy Hour is from 2-10p Monday-Thursday, and lunch specials are served ALL DAY! I had the Tuesday special which was Trio Fajitas (beef, shrimp, chicken) with beans and rice - only $14.75. The meat was very flavorful but wasn't a big fan of the refried beans. Plenty of food, especially for the price. The staff was kind, explained the specials without asking and gave their suggestions. I'm surprised this place isn't as packed with the prices they advertise. A quiet establishment during lunch hour. I will definitely be coming back.

I I decided to get the butterfly cocktail. Really I wasn't impressed with it. It was not strong, came in a plastic cup and was underwhelming. I shared food with friends. We got the fried catfish and shrimp combo with mashed potatoes. We also got the suya beef skewers with sautéed vegetables and macaroni and cheese and greens. I was most impressed with the fried catfish. It was delicious and I'd recommend it. You won't be disappointed. The mashed potato were ok. The greens and macaroni and cheese were tasty. The service was good. Our server did a good job with our large group. Be aware if you have a large group gratuity will be included. On Sunday the entertainment is Don Diego jazz band. Overall it was a great time and a place with many photo opportunities.

Came for a last minute date night on a Thursday. Loved the decor and the staff was uber attentive…read more On Thursdays they have r&b bingo and regular bingo. It was fun and the music vibe was great. My only dislike on bingo was that they gave away the answers (but I can be a little competitive so most people probably like that). As for the food, they have decent happy hour selections and happy hour lasts all night on Thursdays. We ordered the catfish nuggets, suya, and deviled eggs. The last two were not on HH but were well priced. I enjoyed each dish but thought the suya steak could be slightly more tender. I definitely plan to return and to bring others as it seems like a fun spot.

I'll admit, I was a little disappointed to see that Waffle House was coming to Cedar Hill, given…read moretheir reputation as an after hours, greasy diner with customers that like to show off their WWE skills in public. But all of my apprehensions were put to rest during my recent visit. For starters, the staff is soooo friendly. Like, ALL of them were so pleasant. Food was standard. Although we had a wait for service, that's to be expected on a weekend. They move through the tables pretty efficiently. My only complaint was that our items came out pretty staggered, but I'm sure that will improve with time. (This location opened fairly recently). I also noticed that they were doing a lot of take out orders so consider that of you want to bypass weekend crowds.

The team was super friendly, and even the cook stopped by to check that everything was hitting the mark. Hubby went classic with the All-Star Slam: fluffy waffle, crispy bacon, perfectly scrambled eggs, and hashbrowns covered & chunked (cheese + diced ham = perfection). I went for the bacon, egg & cheese toast sandwich with hashbrowns covered, and it was spot on ...melty, buttery, and satisfying. The Arnold Palmer was the perfect sip -- layered just right between sweet tea and lemonade. Great service, great food, and a refreshing new vibe for a Waffle House. Cedar Hill, y'all did this one right!
