    Carne asada fries
    Jamie B.

This was one of those night where we were having a couple of drinks in the bishops arts district. Next thing I know I'm on my back, in a tight black dress, in a parking lot with some duct tape trying to fix the under carriage of a civic cause a guy had bottomed out and needed help. There was no way I was going to make it before they closed to get some of these asada fries I'd been thinking about while drinking my martini at a dive bar that I've already forgotten the name of. I hop on uber eats, place the order, dust off my dress, and hope to make it there before the driver. Y'all. It's hard for me to discuss delicious food without cursing but I'll try my best. I hope who ever made these fries has all their hopes and dreams come true. I hope their kids and grand kids are prosperous and that they retire in what ever paradise suits them best. For me, I'd personally pick Roatan- but I digress. They were out of chicken so they gave us the carne asada- which was great because that's what I wanted any way. They were likely out cause I was ordering 16 mins before close and I really can't expect a full menu while they're trying to gtfo out of there at 2 am. Fair. It was a win. Thank goodness they were out of chicken. I got the red and green sauce and was delighted that a queso was in there too. These fries were loaded down, layered nicely with all the toppings. None of that bullsht where the toppings are only on top- nah, the chef understood the assignment on the proper layering for cheese fries. Seventeen buck may sounds like a lot but this is a lot of food. It's worth it. Red sauce was great. Queso was delicious. That green sauce though, fkn fire. They need to bottle and sell it. Hell I might swing by before heading back home to Austin to get some. I hope this place expands into what ever the owners hopes for it. They did a great job.

After looking at so many pictures on Yelp, I finally decided to give Cesar's Snack Shack a try and I am truly amazed. I still have a lot to try, but when I went I tried the Philly cheese steak fries, which were perfect. It was so much flavor in every bite. It had so much toppings, a hefty amount of onions, bell peppers, and cheese. It was all so good, and I'm eager to try more from them!

The food was good. I ordered a birria burrito which was massive. My only complaint is not enough consome is given. I also got a potato with carne asade and it filled the entire Togo plate. The lady at the register was nice. Took about 15 minutes for my order to be completed. They have a variety of flavors in koolaid ; the Incredible Hulk was delicious. This is a Togo / drive thru only spot. So we ate in the car which was fine. I plan to return.

    Elote

Elote was kinda soupy and bland but the fries were superr good! Philly was super packed with flavor!

This establishment is really good, I always get the birria tacos. The food is amazing and the customer service is as well. I like the fact that they have late hours. Cesar's is definitely going to be my go-to spot!

    Chicken Philly

Me and a group of my friends came in, and order multiple things from them. The service was amazing got to meet who was head of the snack shack and she was efficient and helpful. She helped with deciding what's the best thing as well as double checking the food. The food it self was 10/10 the fries tasted fresh and crispy, the Philly was perfectly filled with a great cheese pull, and the koolaid it self was not too sweet and not to bitter. Overall, would rate the place 8/10. Will def be back!

Torta Mexican Sandwhich with Quesadillas cheese. So good!!

Tried this place for the first time and had a great experience. Has a drive through which is convenient. Please expect to wait since everything is made to order but worth it. My fiance had the Big Rooster Burger which he said was next level. Tried all the salsas with his fries and said green one was his favorite which was the spiciest. I got the torta with birria which I was afraid would be wet since I had a 30 min drive home but it was not. Agua frescas and kool aide were good, and the queso is exactly a Texas queso you would make at home. Overall would try again!

I stopped in because I was starving and needed lunch, sat at the bar, and when I say the service was 1000% on point, I truly mean it. I ordered my food to go and also got a drink to go, and while I was waiting, the bartender made me a small drink to enjoy at the bar. That was such a thoughtful touch. He also gave me chips and salsa and was extremely attentive and genuinely nice the entire time. I love good customer service, so I will absolutely rave about this place. The food was great, the service was top-tier, and they wrapped everything perfectly with plastic wrap for my to-go order 10 out of 10. Even though I'm not a big Mexican food eater, I will definitely be back just because of the service alone... and those grilled shrimp nachos . Also the ambience was so nice. they had the games playing so if you wanna go watch the game have some good food. This is the place and the drinks..... so good you only need one lol

Polish up on your Spanish I was most impressed with the complimentary chips w/3 types of salsa and small bowls of frijoles a la charra for each of us YUM the beans were D-lish! I like to try what hasn't been reviewed yet so I had the Pozole Rojo (red hominy soup w/pork meat & spices) Very big serving bowl with lots of broth w/plain crisp tostadas x3. The Menudo and the Pozole were definitely at least a level 3 spice for me (but I'ma wimp when it comes to spice). The menudo, same generous size bowl, was too spicy for Ma so we took it to-go for my dad. Bro ordered Enchiladas Verdes plate w/chicken.. again very generous portion w/4 enchiladas rice n beans. The green sauce was a little spicy as well for him. He only ate half. Grandson ordered beef asada quesadilla plate which he loved served with rice and beans. Granddaughter ordered 2 plain bean and cheese tostadas but expected cheddar cheese and not queso fresco... well, I gobbled those up for her too! To drink, sweet tea has free refills, the large Jamaica was tasty, and the kids opted for Jarritos. It was 84.99 for three adults and two kids. A little pricy in my opinion but I'd go again to try more menu entrees.

We sat outside in the covered patio since inside was full, humid but they had fans blowing and sat us next to the AC. It wasn't bad especially in this Texas heat.
