I went there last Friday around 5 and was disappointed. The crawfish has no seasoning at all. I was given dry seasoning to add but that's about it. The turkey neck was ok and so was the potatoes/corn/sausage. They do a weird thing were you pay when you order and they ask for tip. That didn't feel right to me so I didn't tip (and I'M A BIG TIPPER). Good thing I didn't tip, we were seated and she never came back!!! read more

I stopped by to try their turkey necks cause I love a good turkey neck boil, and wow, they did not disappoint. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and just falling off the bone--absolute perfection! You can taste the love and care that goes into their cooking. It was definitely authentic Cajun food. And let me tell you, that purple Kool-Aid drink? Game changer. Look real talk if you haven't had Soulfood Sunday then you're really missing out of some great food. Today was Potroast over mashed potatoes with green beans, Mac and Cheese, Candy Yams, Cornbread and Lemon pound cake. With a drink. All for $20. And it could have fed 2 people. Overall great experience. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly cashier taking orders. This place is not side down restaurant so be prepared to wait in your car for your order or in a small lobby. The cashier shared with me all the specials. Saturday special was $6.50 per pound for crawfish. I ordered 4 pounds of crawfish and 1 pound of turkey necks. The turkey necks stole the show. They were juicy, fall off the bone, and boosting with flavor. The crawfish were authentic, long soaked, Louisiana style. I prefer my crawfish with a little kick of spicy. The owner personally walked my order out to my car. I think you all should definitely try Da Bayou Spot. read more

Small place if you blink too fast you will miss it. Got 2lbs crawfish $10 per lb but was advised was only $7 per lb on the day I went. Also ordered 1lb potatoes/ corn/ sausage. Absolutely flavorful. I spent an hour in traffic yesterday to go get some catfish. It was definitely worth the drive. It's obvious that what comes out of the kitchen is a labor of love. I grew up in Louisiana, and this is what I ate growing up. The catfish filets were HUGE, HOT, and everything was FRESH!!! poor service, long wait of over 2 hours, no timely announcements, food running out, small venue. ***** im editing the review as the owner responded and tried to avoid taking responsibility. Being short staffed (not true as i saw your employees walking around outside, chillin) is not an excuse for how you handled Thursday's Crawfish special. there was a line OUT THE DOOR, and everyone was confused as there was no communication to anyone about order status or wait time.... nobody was taking orders in a proactive fashion, you had to BEG an employee to take your order after waiting for 2 hours in line, before ordering i specially asked if there were crawfish left and how long it would take. she went to the back to check and told me 20 MINUTES. i came back in 20 minutes and the same people were still waiting on their crawfish. we were ALL told they are sold OUT for the night..... they promised to deliver the food bright and early the next day so we all left upset but hopeful. the next morning I have to call multiple times before finally, "Will" told me hes actually NOT doing delivery and i have to drive an hour to him again to get the crawfish. Ok. So i drive the hour to dat bayou spot. the employees proceed to tell me they are SOLD OUT OF EVERYTHING. i was about to cry. i told them i drove from out of town and i was also there the day before and they sold out of everything. you know what they said?? they would deliver it to me the next day fool me once..... i refused that. all of a sudden they came out the back with shrimp, turkey neck, and crawfish..... ALLL of that aside, THE FOOD WASNT EVEN GOOD noooo way you can have customer service that terrible, wait times that long, an establishment that small, attitude so bad, lies so ridiculous, AND STILL HAVE BAD FOOD!!! I am very shocked that this business is in operation and it makes me ashamed that they are black. but whatever. if you've been to houston you've had much better crawfish than this bayou spot. Hell, even razzoos can give you better service and crawfish. advise to management: stop lying. hire more people. dont have viral instagram ads if you cant handle the crowd. inform the long line of people standing waiting that you are going to have to wait 3+ hours for nasty food. stop saying you'll deliver stuff to get angry customers out of your face- this method doesnt work if you wont ACTUALLY DELIVER THE FOOD read more

And when I say this just turned into my favorite Cajun restaurant, it definitely did. The customer service was fantastic. The wait time for my food was very reasonable. And the prices were at a very affordable cost. Especially with the amount you receive. But lastly, the food was outstanding, everything was fresh and hot. Even after a 20 minute drive home.
