This is a fairly new restaurant on the block after replacing the spot of a closed down mexican restaurant. First I thought I was ordering a blackened chicken sandwich when I was just ordering a piece of blackened chicken. The menu could use some separation between the two. I was given some bread after asking tho. I hope this establishment makes some improvements. I did not feel my plate was cohesive. Just don't do it. I went twice because I wanted to be fair when I gave a review, especially for a fairly new business. The food was just okay. More specifically, the seafood was edible, after I sent the waitress back several times for cajun seasoning, hot sauce, butter (which I suspect was not butter), and lemon. In short, I was a bit disappointed in having to, you know, kind of prepare my food at the table. When you go out, you should not have to do that. The chicken wings - just don't. Yelp does have enough space for me to describe how tasteless they were. Let's proceed to the atmosphere and service. Both times, I went, it was freezing inside. The first time, I actually went back to the car to get a jacket and gloves. I wore my gloves until the food arrived. I inquired about the bar area. Since it was closed in, I was thinking it might be above freezing in there, and I was told it was cold in there, too. They mentioned adjusting the heat, but since it never happened, I assumed that was just something they said. It was cold the second time I went, as well. That time, I could take the gloves off, just not the jacket. Also, both times, there were two parties in the whole establishment but several waitresses. So, you'd think you would not have to look for them when you needed something. You'd think wrong. They are all so busy with their cell phones, they hardly notice you. Now, once they notice you waving your hands or getting out of your seat to come get them, one will "mosey" on over to help you. That is, after they finish their selfies. Also, the second time, I went in, the music was really loud. I am assuming they do not know that some people enjoy conversation while dining. The music choice was also hip hop, Cardi B, to be exact. No shade to Cardi B, but a restaurant is typically a family style place. Those that play music usually consider something a bit more subtle so they cater to all guests. In their defense, they did not seem to have a lot of guests, and at the rate they are going, once they are out of business, they won't need them. read more

The service was excellent! Everything else was horrible... we got there right after opening on a Sunday & the cook wasn't there yet! The waitress told us not to order the raw oysters, as they weren't always fresh. They didn't have any red beans & rice or gumbo. I personally would go somewhere else for some good shrimp. I think the only thing that was good for the most part was the drinks. The shrimp on the outside had the flavors but upon eating the shrimp not much flavor there. The corn was cooked good. The potato's not really tasteful or cooked as well. When I read the reviews I said I wasn't coming here. My daughter change my mind because she came here with some friends and said the food was delicious. Let's get to the food. The cajan wings were great and the Fry's. My wife who doesn't eat seafood had a burger which she said was ok for a seafood restaurant. My husband and I went today to get dinner. We were super impressed! Don't knock it before you try it is all I can say! My husband got the crawfish and sausage with corn and potatoes, I got the shrimp and crab with corn and potatoes and we shared some gumbo and hush puppies before our main stuff came out. The food was EXCELLENT! It was cooked great, hot, and super yummy! The service was also good, the girl who was there and took our order was very kind and polite. This place is AWFULl!!! Save your time and money. The flavor was bland as if they were preparing food for diabetics or rather people with dietary restrictions. While the place was clean and inviting it's almost deceptive. The potatoes were waaaay overcooked. Almost comparable to potatoe soup. The shrimp and king crab (even with "Everything" seasoning) was bland at best. We opted for one of the boils that included Shrimp, King Crab, Potatoes and Corn. We also added Crawfish....it was horriblel!! When we complained to our server about the lack of flavor, she retreated to the kitchen to create a concoction for us. We were very appreciative of her efforts but it was just BAD. The Crawfish were either old or severely overcooked. I just refused to fight with them anymore, so I sent them back. Horrible service and horrible food. As we went in no one bothered to receive us to get seated. When we chose our table it was dirty as i sat down the seat was so sticky. We ordered two drinks and a dozen oysters the waiter came back left the oysters, she didn't get us any silverware or standard condiments(salt,pepper) it seemed she didn't know what she was doing. Not only did my server have that attitude so did the server that was taking care of another table near me. My food was ok. 1 lb of snow crab, 1/2 shrimp, potatos, corn with all the flavors and fire. The tiger shrimp were big and juicy. The crab was good. The potatoes were average size for red potatoes, they were a tad big hard for my likening. The corn was terrible, there was no flavor and taste like cardboard. In a matter of minutes my food was cold. Majority of my food ate was cold. Again my server didn't come to check on me, I had no napkins/ paper towels, she wasn't concerned if my food was to my likening or anything. The cook possibly the owner did come check in but that was all. The flavor on everything was partially there. It was hot and that's about it. Is this place even still open? I visited when they first opened due to the opening special $5.99 lb crawfish. They were actually pretty delicious. Fast forward to now, a year later. The service is AWFUL! A bunch of little teenage girls with absolutely 0 interest in customer service or doing anything besides staring at their phones. Not to mention the way they speak to you with no tact and walk around in street clothes. I've since ordered crawfish again and got the "bottom of the bayou" and it was delicious, but at nearly $11/ lb!!! Good grief! Tried to order again, they took my order then called me back when my order was supposed to be ready and said "umm ma'am, we don't got no more crawfish". Now every time I drive by, the lights are out and parking lot is empty. Hopefully it's finally shut down. This is a new place, but not sure exactly how long it has been open. We were sat very quickly and drink order was immediate. Waitress was rushed, but the place was not busy so not sure why. Husband ordered pound of shrimp and I ordered the blackened chicken. His order came out about ten minutes while I had to wait another 20 minutes before my chicken arrived, and this is ten minutes after we had to go find the waitress to ask her to check on my order. We asked for butter sauce and tarter sauce but the waitress never came back, so once again I had to get up to go track down the waitress. Didn't find her, but did find another very helpful waitress. As far as genuine Cajun food goes I can't consider this genuine at all. The food here was actually bland, to my surprise. I won't say the food was terrible but at least it won't make you sick. New seafood places STOP trying to be Boiling Crab. We ordered catfish and shrimp basked with side of hushpuppies and corn with the seasoning. First of all the soda was too sweet. Got our order within minutes of receiving our soda. Hushpuppies were under cooked, fish was small and gummy, not cooked well at all, no season. Shrimp was RAW. We did not cause a scene, but we were able to speak to the manager and offer a tip about his cooks. The best thing about our first visit was the signs up in lights.
