First time here. It has been on my list to try. I initially wanted to get a whole catfish platter. They were out of whole catfish. So I got the catfish filet basket. The basket comes with fries, white bread, jalapeno pepper and pickles. I ate a fish steak on the way home. So it is not pictured. I do think the crispy cornmeal fry on the fish is good. The fish on the inside seemed a bit dry. The fish could use more seasoning on the actual fish instead of just in the batter. Maybe a marinade before battering and frying. The fries were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The start was the pickles. They have a uniquely flavored brine. I would totally come back for those and to try the whole catfish and see if there is a difference. read more

Some of the best catfish ever ! The owner is older man and is not the friendliest in the world but he runs a tight ship He is very strict about his business etiquette ... his way! This is a cash only location. You can't wait inside the restaurant for your food, you take a number and return in the allotted amount of time, Fridays are packed ... get there early The atmosphere of the restaurant is strictly business professional in and out. OMGee, the best catfish I have ever eaten!!! My cousin walked in with this huge tray, and when I opened the bag I saw the most beautiful catfish steaks and tails I have ever seen! The fish was sitting on a bed of fries. It can with pickles that tasted like they were soaked in Kool-Aid (yummy) and pickled carrots and peppers were perfect. The older male was extremely unprofessional. He and the workers were having a very LOUD and negative discussion about a customer. The customer suggested that he was very rude. Apparently he and the workers did not like what the customer said. So while several other patrons were waiting on their orders, they all spoke very loudly and said they hope she don't come back. My mom and aunt swear by this place, but I don't see anything special about it. I've never been to the location and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Ever. Was riding with a friend and stumbled upon this place. I wasn't too happy at first when my friend suggested that we stop here but I played along since I was riding with someone else. The building is absolutely nothing to brag about I actually thought it was abandoned. The inside looks like a gutted out house that they made into a large kitchen. There were handwritten menus on poster board that appeared to have been there for years, old discolored posters from K104 and raggedy chairs placed at warped table. You placed your order through burglar bars, there was really no decent place to sit, and no public restroom. To top it off we had to go to the nearby store to break a $20 bill because the young lady said the owner had not come back with change.... Now for the good! I ordered the catfish basket with shrimp and it was the bomb.com. The fish was seasoned to perfection as were the shrimp. The fries were just ok but the pickles, peppers and bread sealed the deal for me. We ate in the car as I saw most people did. NO stars! As much as I frequent this establishment, I was glad to hear they were open during this shelter in place. I called and placed my order and the lady over the phone said it would be ready in 10 mins. I got there in 30 mins and the owner, Blue said there was no order for me and said that I didn't call it in. He became very rude. Wouldn't tell me their phone number to verify it with my phone and told me to look at the wall. I told him that is the number I called and showed him from my phone. So instead of trying to find my order or say he will go ahead and make it, he asks for my phone number to see if it was on his caller ID. So I'm sitting there waiting and then he says, we sold it. You weren't here in 10 mins so we sold your order(WHAAAT??) and this was after he insinuated that I lied because they wouldn't tell me 10 mins over the phone and they always give a specific time, like 10:06. He was extremely rude and being rude to a customer that always patronage his business and sends business his way that I was offended and told him nevermind. People always say he's rude...comments all say he's rude but I have never encountered him being rude, maybe short but never rude until tonight. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE...AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU! People should learn how to treat their customers, especially returning customers. read more
