So when he magically confirms I have a table (because I do), he lifts up his arm and gives me the ALL CLEAR! It's actually funny looking back at it. But give me a break. When going back outside to sit at my table, the same bouncer/ Secret Agent/ FBI dude gives attitude to my boyfriend and myself for the commotion caused earlier. The actual police officer next to him told us it's ok and to just have a good time. The only nice thing someone said to us and he doesn't even work at Harwood Arms lol. To management, if you do not want people "off the street" to go in and out of your pub or inside to use your bathrooms, then I don't know- maybe come up with a wristband method so your paying customers can smoothly go in and out to use your bathrooms? Just a thought. OR just don't be unwelcoming to people that are actively spending money at your pub. Harwood Arms was NOT prepared at all for the high velocity of people coming in to watch the FIFA games. Quite frankly, it was a MESS. I called in my order and was told I could choose my fountain drink when I arrived. Five minutes later when I got there, the same employee said the fountain machine was broken and then tried to require me to either pay for a fountain drink I would not receive or pay extra for a bottled drink. When I asked to simply remove the drink and pay for the chicken and fries that were already prepared, I was told they "don't sell that" and that I would not be served. After this dispute, the employee handed the food that had been prepared for my order to customers who were waiting in front of me and told me that my order was canceled. Shortly after, two customers came in and were allowed to order only chicken and wings with no issue, even though I had just been told that was not possible. I have video of this interaction. I then offered again to pay for the food that had been made for me. Instead of resolving the situation, the employee canceled my order and called the police even though no crime had occurred. Being refused service after attempting to pay the posted price, having your food given away in front of you, seeing other customers allowed to order what you were denied, and then having police called over a simple pricing dispute is beyond unacceptable. I recorded the interaction for my own protection because of how out of control it became. If you care about fair pricing, basic respect, or being treated like a human being, do yourself a favor and avoid this location entirely.
