    Reuben, baked beans, coleslaw

Quaint restaurant. Would recommend! Walked into tables with checkered tablecloths, a friendly two person team (one cook, one waitress). Menu changes daily and specials were listed on the wall. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had the Rueben with baked beans (which were homemade) and creamy coleslaw.

This place is an absolute gem! Go north to Oconomowoc lake and visit Glenda's, you won't be disappointed. We had the eggs Benedict, fruit bowl, sunny-side up eggs and biscuit and gravy. Oh my, the biscuits and gravy were the absolute best I have ever eaten. The lady at the table next to us swore by them and we trusted her local opinion. The eggs were amazing -- it was all around excellent food and coffee. The service was quick and the people were lovely. I would make the drive back here for those biscuits!

None of these empty tables are available I was told so the only one available was the back corner ??? WTF.

I have been looking to get over here for a long time now and today would be the day. The place is on a Main Street small town feel which is nice with street parking. The place looks like the country charm monster threw up all over the place with all the chotchkies on the walls. I get there at opening just after 7am and only one table in in service and a bunch of tables with reserved signs ?, I ask what time does the tables fill up and I was told when church let's out at 8am, a good 50 minuets away. They try to seat me at the counter and I ask for a table and I'm told that there is only one table available, the farthest one back in the coroner of the room ? while 90% of the tables empty, see my pictures. The menu is small with the basics so I keep it simple with sausage patties, eggs over easy, hash browns and sourdough toast which took over 15 minuets with the place empty for some reason. All the food was crammed on one plate which I hate, you can't even spread the sausage patties apart to cut and eat them one at a time. The sourdough toast was very good with that nice little chew, the best part of my breakfast. The eggs were perfect sunny side up. The hash browns were golden looking and tasty, seasoned well but no crunch and all soft. The sausage patties were tasty with a little zest in them and not over cooked with a juicy texture. Overall the breakfast was noticeabley tasty and better than average so I would say that this is a solid breakfast spot. I was out by 7:40am and the whole table thing really irked me more because no one even sat at any of tables that was off limits to me while I had to sit all the way in the back corner for no apparent reason what so ever WTF was that all about.

Moms choice for Mother's Day. Guess because it's in between where we all live. Well I can say Glenda's has a small home town feel to it, almost like eating in Grandams kitchen. Open concept so you can see the food being made while you are at your table or at the counter. Almost feels like you're up in the Door County having breakfast. I ordered the Eggs Benny because if anyone knows me, knows that's what I'm hunting. They were traditional style nothing special, not bad just not amazing. I did think the hollandaise sauce was a bit runny but the eggs were perfect and muffin was warm. With a side of bacon. Bacon was real no micro crap, and crispy how I like it. Bloody Mary was decent, garnished with half a pickle spear, a lime wedge, a lemon wedge, and a sweet pepper. Prices were what you would expect for a small town diner. All in all not bad food. Glad my Mom was happy.

Seriously good hashbrowns and eggs benedict

Cute and cozy restaurant that serves good food. We checked out Glenda's for Sunday breakfast. You are going to want to make reservations as there are not a lot of tables and it fills up quickly. If you don't make reservations, the other option is the counter, but there are only about 6 seats at the counter and you will want to get there early. We sat at the counter and watched our food being made. I am always in awe of the food that is coming out of these little places and the serious multitasking taking place. I ordered the eggs Benedict and the eggs were perfectly poached! I don't know how many places I've gone to where they can't seem to poach eggs properly. The hashbrowns were buttery and crisp. There were some unique daily specials, one was a broccolini taco that looked pretty tasty and the daily quiche with Asiago and asparagus. Service is fast and efficient and my coffee never went empty. Everyone here is very friendly and made us feel welcomed.

Excellent food and service with outside dining.... The homemade banana cream pie looks so good I had to take a piece home! I will look forward to trying breakfast or lunch soon!

hash browns and corn bread over the breakfast enchiladas and eggs with some cucumber and blueberries turned out delightfully delicious

It's an interesting place, but hard to put into a specific category. It offers hot beverages, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, oatmeal, etc. -- and then they also have ice cream. When I walked in, I was a bit unsure about the layout and seating. In the first area, there are a couple of tables. There are lots of things going on in this space, and it feels a bit cramped and chaotic. The order counter is here, along with a small kitchen. Beyond this space, you'll find a much larger seating area with tables for different-sized groups. I'm not a design expert, but this area also felt a bit chaotic. I didn't sense any overarching design. For me, it didn't have the relaxing, chill vibe I look for in a coffee shop or café. Got a super friendly greeting and service. Ordered a couple of tea lattes -- one Chai, and the other a London Fog (little lavender, little vanilla, extra foam). Both were made in mugs, served at the right temperature, with great flavor. Got a couple of the scones, and those were just "okay." They were dry (which a scone should be), but they leaned more muffin-like than shortbread-like. Overall, the visit was a mixed bag -- not bad, but not a place I'm likely to return to.

I can't even decipher that thing....it looks like coordinates for calling in a mortar attack... Anyway, we sit in the outdoor patio, and the wonderful Liv took care of us. Cocktail? Don't mind if I do, Young Liv. A warmup margarita, and then one of their award winning Bloody Mary's. Seriously. They just won some humongous Bloody Mary Contest on the Summerfest Grounds. Verdict: terrific! Get one! As for food, the four of us dined on a Cobb Salad, a smash burger (topped by cheese curds!), chicken Caesar wrap, and I forgot the fourth meal because I was focused on the Bloody Mary. All I know is that we were truly impressed by the quality food coming out of the kitchen. My "bar by the lake" expectations were low because, hey, we are here to drink by the lake. But they are truly putting out an excellent product from the kitchen. If you have been here, you know. If you haven't, come. You will enjoy the atmosphere, service, food, and cocktails. Great Morning Wrap - always has the right ratio of ingredients so you get a little of everything in each bite. PRO TIP: ask for an extra side of the chipotle mayo. Other things that we have tried and enjoyed: Chicken Dumpling Soup -- always recommended by those who have tried it. Steak and Eggs - good portion for the price and well seasoned. Eggs Benedict - really rich hollandaise sauce, and the fresh arugala balances well against that richness. This is one of my wife's favs. Biscuits & Gravy - this definitely ranges, better sometimes vs. others, but that range is great (4.5*) to good (3.5*). It just depends on the day that you go I have probably eaten at Maxim's 12-15 times and have never had an unsatisfying experience. I am sure that they will treat you right too!
