I have nothing but fantastic things to say about this place. You want a home cooked meal with lots of love and a classic style, you won't be disappointed coming to eat here. Whenever my lady and I are around the area - we try to make time to visit this lovely place. We don't always get the chance, but when we do oooohhhhhh neeeelllllyyyy! it was totally worth the wait :) Glenda and her staff are very friendly and attentive to their customers. My husband, daughter and I live on Okauchee. We've been going to Glenda's since the opened. Glen and Brenda are great people. The food is great. I work from home and it's a great lunch break I sit at the counter and visit. I try to get there for lunch at least once a week. I'm not a pie eater but my husband and daughter LOVE Glen's pies. Tried to come in for a quick breakfast with my family. Was turned away because all tables were reserved. Seems like your missing out on money if your tables are sitting there empty. We've been to this cafe twice now, and that will be the last time. The first time was not very good but we thought we'd give them a second chance to be fair. I ordered biscuits and gravy at the waitresses suggestion "the best biscuits and gravy you'll ever have". The second it came out, I could tell something was off. The gravy was yellow, like hollandaise, and tasted exactly like cream of chicken soup. In addition to its unappealing look and horrible taste, it had canned mushrooms and MAPLE sausage links cut up in there. That is NOT what biscuits and gravy is supposed to be. The corned beef and hash was clearly out of a can. Not only was the food terrible, we waited over 35 minutes for 2 breakfasts, and it was obvious they had lost or forgot about our order (it's a small place and an open kitchen). No apology or explanation for the wait. 1 hour and $30 I wish I could get back, which is a shame since it's the only cafe in Okauchee. read more

If frozen waffles are what you go out to breakfast for then go for it. I ordered the waffles and was horrified when first my husband tells me he watched the cook drop part of my waffle onto the floor. Then he gives me the play by play of the cook grabbing a frozen waffle and breaking it in half to stick it in the toaster. So when my husbands food comes, I am given 3/4 of a soggy waffle and told the rest is coming up... I don't know how you can mess up a waffle but this place mastered it. The worst tasting waffle of my life. My husband got an omelette and ate half just out of politeness. We ended up going to a drive thru after to get food. read more

Pretty good for the price. I had the Spanish omelet, and it was pretty good. The salsa was kinda salty, but we are in Wisconsin (I'm from California). The biscuits and gravy-it was awesome to see those huge chunks of sausage, but I wasn't really big on the flavor of the gravy... The biscuits were pretty good. I would come back again. Would give this place a better rating if they could just make hash browns. Probably spoiled from the Blues Egg hash browns but cold dried over done not freshly made hash browns are not good so why bother taking them out of the warming bin. Quaint Mom and Pop style restaurant run out of the front of their home. The service is slow as the owner is the only cook, but the food is outstanding. His wife who is a server and runs the dining room was attentive filling our glasses and giving my three toddlers crackers while we waited. Wanted to give it five stars because the food was excellent. The wait was a really long for breakfast almost an hour to get served when we sat down. It seems like this place would do better if things were more organized. Also the guy cooking, I am pretty sure he is the owner was a really crank ass. I could hear him complaining the entire time he was cooking. I get it was busy and he had probably been on his feet a long time but that comes with owning a business. We really wanted to love Glenda's after reading the nice reviews. Breakfast Friday at 9:00. A couple tables were open, which filled up shortly. We ordered right away and waited a full 45 minutes for our food. When we asked about our order, we were told, "We didn't forget your order, you weren't skipped." No apologies (in fact, a sense of slight irritation that we asked). The neighboring table was told the exact same thing. The food was pretty good. Poached eggs a bit undercooked, hashbrowns not crispy, but overall ok. But if you're going to ask people to wait an incredibly long time for their food, it had better be OUTSTANDING. And if you have more than a few tables in your restaurant, you need more than one cook. Disappointing. read more

Yelp suggested this establishment as a good place to eat breakfast. As my husband, brother, and I pulled up to the restaurant we were met by a woman. Before we exited the vehicle, she asked if we had reservations. We didn't. She said we don't have any tables. I have several problems with this situation. First, who makes reservations for Sunday breakfast? I never heard of such a thing. Two, there were open tables on the patio. Finally, the staff member didn't offer a twenty or thirty minute wait. She blatantly told us she did not have any tables for us. So, if you are looking for a nice friendly welcoming place to eat breakfast. Eat somewhere else! read more

Have been patrons of Glendas since they first opened. Brenda and Glen are fabulous people and Brenda ever pleasant smile compliments Glens chef skills so well. Update: I've eaten here twice since my original review and have never been disappointed! The standard menu is excellent, but I highly recommend trying one of whatever the specials are that day -- the chef is wonderfully creative and comes up with some amazing combinations. My friend had the poached eggs in broiled avocado and I had the coconut french toast, and both looked like they'd come right from a photograph in a magazine. More important, they were amazing! It's always a nice mix of families and outdoorsy people there, and the staff is tremendously friendly. They're starting to feel like family! read more

Overly priced. Sketchy place: Tried to charge $2.5 for hot water. Charged an extra $2 for a few pieces of hash brown on the side of a dish. The choice of french fries or hash brown wasn't presented as another dish. It was presented as it would come with the dish we ordered. read more

A small, quaint, casual step back in time. Loved the the home-cooked food. We met the husband-wife team that own and run Glenda's. He cooks, she waits on tables. Very friendly.
