Do dry cleaners need to recognize people at 50 feet and pull their order before they set foot in the store in order to get a license?), these are the dry cleaning people who take care with every item we give them, these are the dry cleaning people who are psyched every time the wife or I walk in the door. I'd say 65% of the driers in the facility are currently broken and not running and a handful of the washers are broken as well. This makes the wait time for a machine extremely long, especially during the busy after work hours. Also, they offer this promotion where if you earn up to a certain number of "points" you get $8 of cash back. We have been coming here for 5 years every two weeks and have NEVER hit that threshold. It's literally impossible to earn the $8 of cash back, so it's a useless joke of a promotion.

I moved to Medford around 2005 and used another cleaner just a few steps closer, but the cloths seem to come back dirtier than I dropped them off. Grace is different. Everything is fresh and really clean. Buttons are fixed, hemlines fixed and they even grabbed my laundry bag to clean it too ... free of charge ... just for good customer service. If you care about your cloths, you will have a hard time finding equal service anywhere. A real highlight in Medford Square!

He walked over the day before they were due to be ready, just to see if they were done early. He was met with "they'll be done when I said they'll be done." The next day when I went to pick up the clothes, the store was open, but there was no one at the counter. I rang the bell several times, called out, and a few other customers entered the store behind me. Finally, I walked to the back to see if someone was there (my thought being, what if someone is hurt?!) Finally a woman poked her head up and immediately yelled at me "for being in a private area." I'm not asking to be treated like a Queen. But basic decency is something I look for in a local business. With so many options in the Somerville area, we'll take our business somewhere else that treats us with a little respect and cordiality.

Their prices aren't the lowest around, but this is a great example that you get what you pay for; I've yet to have an issue with stains not coming out or clothes coming back from Clevergreen smelling of chemicals like you had them cleaned by a Halliburton fracking operation. The one time there was a mixup with my clothes (actually, I think it was the first time I brought anything to this cleaner...) they went the extra mile to make sure I got my clothes back as quickly as possible, apologized for the inconvenience, and took the charge off my bill. On the negative side, some of the comments I've read about the customer service from folks other than the owner (Fashad) aren't totally wrong. Sometimes when you walk in, there's no one at the counter and you have to wait for someone to come from the back of the shop...and that someone doesn't always seem too pleased. When I weigh the pros and the cons, I think the pros win here. I've had so many challenges dealing with other cleaners that I just don't get from these folks. Granted, they're not perfect, but I think they're sincere in wanting to do a good job and, yes, the screaming Liberal in me loves feeling like I'm doing something good by working with an environmentally friendly dry cleaner, so....maybe I'm a little biased....

Overall experience is seviceable, but pricey, and it can be a huge hassle to plan around being able to wash your clothes when the few machines available are taken and the rest are out of order.

It's about $1.25/lb to have them do your laundry or you can use the use the machines there. They all look brand new. There is wifi in the buidling and TVs so you can kill time there no problem. They offer alterations and dry cleaning, but I've never done it.
