I actually started using Emerald because of the reviews that were on Yelp and I could not have been happier with the services I've received. I currently live in the Fenway area, which is quite a drive from West Roxbury, but since they pick up and deliver, I said... why not! And I am very pleased with my experiences with them. Definitely will continue services! They provide large reusable laundry bags for pick up and deliver, which is definitely convenient. I actually drove to the store initially to drop off my stuff and they provided me two new bags to take home and use upon delivery. The staff is super friendly and understanding! They actually forgot to give me a few things during my first pick up, but they called me back a day later and apologized for forgetting things. They scheduled a drop off for me right away and I was able to get all that I wanted. Now that's what you call convenience and great customer service. When I received my stuff, it was all neatly folded in large plastic bags and select shirts were put on hangers. I'm impressed with how meticulous the staff is in terms of cleaning AND interacting with customers. Thank you so much. Keep it going! read more

The site had bad ap instructions, then got it to download eventually, then would not work once I had it. I went twice to try to get it to work...the concept is good, but you have to make a workable product! read more

Decided to go back again and everything has been good . All of a sudden I checked the clothes we had dry cleaned a few weeks ago and all of the tag (writing) inside the shirts are gone and all the shirts have only been dry cleaned as they are over $ 100 Tshirts . And of course there is no option to give a complaint in the website or email read more

BAD cleaning service and EXTREMELY POOR customer relations. I really don't understand how Emerald Dry Cleaning could receive any positive reviews or ever got onto Shark Tank. I utilized their service on 2 occasions, with both times resulting in clothes that felt only half-cleaned (they had a weird grimy texture after being 'cleaned') and stains were left on one of my shirts. Given their "100% No Risk Dry Cleaning & Broken Button Guarantee" which states that they stand behind every garment they clean 100%, I decided to call and let them know that there were 2 stains left on one of my shirts. I exchanged emails with Joseph G. who informed me that the $3.25 credit for the stained shirt was issued back to my account (I had no way of verifying this though because there isn't an actual account that I could log into, since each order is a separate form). He also indicated that if I'd give them a second chance, they would dry clean my shirt for FREE using a "TARGO" stain remover. I took him up on this offer, only to discover a few days later that the shirt had actually not been dry cleaned (just re-washed), the same stains were still there, and I was charged an additional $3.25 for the second wash. I tried for a week to reach Joseph to correct this error, but with no luck in even receiving a reply. I sincerely hope $6.50 was worth permanently losing me as a customer, but also any future business from people I would have recommended. I HIGHLY discourage anyone from utilizing this service, as there are other home dry cleaning services that can actually do a thorough job (eg, Rinse) and do not deceive you with an empty "no risk guarantee" that actually costs you more money. read more

This is the most ridiculous, most awful customer service I've received since I moved to America 3 years ago. This Drycleaners took my clothes and didn't return on the promised date. I sent 5 emails on 5 different occasions and up to this moment, my emails have been ignored. I called them 3 times to ask for my clothes, still no response. Then I called and left a message for the manager Jo to call me but up till this moment, no message no call. Then I explained and begged and also left multiple voice notes that I needed my clothes because I had a flight to catch for a wedding and I'd be needing those clothes as my outfit- yet they didn't show up with my clothes. They continued to ignore. I had to go to Macy's to buy new outfits so I could wear something decent for the wedding. This is not the first time I've received such horrible service from them and if you ever need a reliable Drycleaner, Emerald is not the place to go. Other people in my apartment building are also complaining about how their service sucks. So I advice that you avoid them Then the manager emailed my apartment front desk saying they've sent me a gift and saying they've resolved it with me. Which is another lie because for 3 weeks, I never heard from them and still haven't. read more

I have called them 3 times, left messages and they have not returned an order that was sent 2 weeks ago and included various expensive items. I live in the Seaport and I have used them for the past year. They are expensive and now they are unreliable. read more

Let's put it this way - I have 2 dry cleaners on my street (both 1 block away from my house) but I choose to drive to Emerald. Excellent quality of work and quick service. Fantastic staff! A family business. They are very knowledgeable. They take the time to explain the process and address any concerns. Affordable. read more

1 star and reason is very simple: their prices are absolutely horrendous, their quality is average, and their service is slow. Examples: Men's dress pants - $9 Women's dress - $16 Women's blouse - $10 Sweater - $10 Men's dress shirt $3 These prices are double what they should be. I actually have used them before but they either raised their prices or maybe I didn't notice how bad they were with a smaller set of items being cleaned. They pick up at my building (so do 3 other options), are slow, and the quality is average. That combination earns 1 star overall. Look elsewhere, I used one of the other options in my building, which was significantly faster and cheaper but will still be trying the other two. read more

So far, I couldn't be happier with Emerald. I was a Sturgis customer for a year and then Emerald began free pick-up and drop-off service in my apartment building. While Sturgis was always solid, it's hard to beat convenience of free delivery service. Their big green bag is actually really cool -- a very smart design. Prices are competitive with others and the customer service was fantastic. It takes a couple days to get your order back, certainly longer than if you walked it into a same-day place yourself, but with a little forethought that's easily overcome. I look forward to many clean and freshly pressed shirts from Emerald. read more

They are the worst ever. They don't care about their customers. They lost my pocket squares and never reimbursed me as they said they would. Anyone who wears clothing in the Boston area needs to use Emerald Cleaners for their dry cleaning and laundry needs. They offer FREE pick-up and drop-off and are a fantastic value; prices are reasonable , they consistently clean clothes very well, and the service is top-notch. Their delivery driver is definitely one of the most courteous, friendly, all-around nice guys I've ever met (seriously - and no, I haven't only interacted with convicted felons, war criminals, or Darth Vader impersonators). Plus, he's flexible enough to meet your needs, even if he's dropping your clothes off before heading to a Red Sox game (did it for me), which 100% proves my claim that he's supremely nice. I've had them clean suits, dress pants, and shirts. Become a customer. You're life will be better, I promise. - Super Satisfied Customer in Downtown Boston read more

I've used their pickup/delivery service a few times and always had a great experience! They're on time with their services (always pick up and drop off when they say they will) and are very friendly. The guy who does the pick-ups and drop-offs is awesome and deserves a raise! My clothes always come out clean and nicely folded. Plus, I have two very hairy dogs and my clothes are usually covered in fur but after I send them to Emerald, they're just about as fur-less as they can possibly get! I'll definitely keep using this service. read more

I decided to treat myself due to not having a summer vacation. My neighbor suggested I try Emerald. I am thrilled to have found them! The prices are reasonable compared to dragging my stuff around finding a decent laundromat. My money was wasted on laundry until now. They work hard and it shows! Totally amazing! I am going to be a regular. read more

1. Inconsistent prices, all depends on who is at the front desk at the time. 2. Received a different price when I dropped off my clothes versus when I picked up my clothes as a result of an error committed by Martha, no apology, no phone call to explain the discrepancy, only met with the attitude of "well if you don't like it, too bad." 3. No customer service, why should the customer pay for your error. 4. Don't throw your money away at this establishment, not worth it. read more

This past holiday season I had a pair of red silk satin Kate Spade heels that I wanted to get cleaned for a wedding. I had more or less demolished them the last time I wore them (pretty sure they even had tar smudges) but because they were my favorite I thought I'd give it a shot. Based on their strong Yelp reviews, I called Emerald to see if it was something they might be able to do. The woman on the phone was very enthusiastic, asked me several questions, and candidly shared her thoughts on how challenging it might be. After that conversation I knew Emerald would be my best bet for reviving the shoes. After inspecting them, they agreed to take them on an at-your-own-risk basis; they weren't positive all of the stains would come out but would give it a try (and I committed to paying $25 either way). The results totally exceeded my highest hopes. The shoes came out almost good-as-new, even the tar smudges were gone! The turn around time was about a week and a half. Emerald will definitely be my go-to dry cleaners now. read more

Horrible Experience! If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I used Emerald because they were one of the dry cleaning facilities my building (345 Harrison) contracted with. First delivery came back with sub par pressing. I figured I would give them one more try. Left my dry cleaning bag with concierge and got the clothes back 3 days later but with one pair of $250 dress pants missing. I called them and they said they weren't sure and would look into. That same day, they called and said I should check with my building because they showed as tagging three pairs of pants. Long story short, the pants hanger fell from the bag that the courier was holding when bringing back into my building. The pants were left outside. Only after a good Samaritan saw them, were they returned to the concierge in my building saying I think these may be dry cleaning for one of your tenants. The concierge was happy to learn they found the rightful owner. So I call Emerald immediately and spoke with a gentleman to tell him how his delivery driver needs to be more careful and voice my concerns. He then redeemed my faith after being very apologetic and saying please send the pants back and any other things you need cleaned and we will take care of it free of charge. I thought- well that's a great response and I would give them 1 more try to make it right. Well, dry cleaning comes back along with my credit card being charged for everything. I was pissed. I immediately call them and they say, oh we weren't going to comp everything, only the pants. I said, had I known that I NEVER would have even given you my clothes to clean. BTW- the cleaning is not very good. Been to other places that do a much better job. Needless to say, I AM NEVER USING THEM AGAIN. Although it is convenient to have in my building, not worth losing my valuable clothing and getting crappy cleaning. If you want to have your clothes safely returned, DO NOT GO HERE! read more

This could be my first review and felt it was necessary to write one seeing how I read reviews all the time. I wanted to find someone who I could trust to clean and preserve my wedding dress. From start I was a little nervous because they were tough to make arrangements with but after connecting it was smooth sailing. How much better can it get. They pick up your wedding dress at your house and explain everything at your door. They then clean, preserve, and return your dress right back to your door. They even give you a gift for your service. The gentlemen who handles pick up and drop off explains everything and knows in detail about the process. Your dress is warranty for life. I thought it was pretty reasonable for what I saw for pricing and I would recommend them to all other brides. I read more

I have to say, I loved these guys until I had an issue. After using them for the basics for a year, they ruined two nice shirts (both were custom made). Rather than settle the claim, they stopped answering their phones and have repeatedly promised to return the shirts or reimburse us, then never call back. Its been over 5 weeks, and my next step is the BBB. read more

Quick, efficient, did a great job, and they let my pup come inside with me! What more could I as for?

Great service, super friendly staff, and they mended a tear in a skirt for free. They're also open until 5pm on Saturdays, which makes it more convenient than a lot of other cleaners. I'll be back for sure. read more

Quality service and quick turnaround. It's a bit of a commute for me, but well worth it. I've definitely found my new dry cleaners.

Been a customer for years. I work from home when not working out of hotel rooms in strange cities doing consulting work. I drop my corporate costume crap (button down shirts mainly) here a few days before any business trip. The service is fantastic and they have my card and preferences already on file. My dress shirts get laundered and for a small extra fee I have them folded and boxed up so that I can drop them directly into the suitcase for the next outbound trip. Despite only dropping in every few months with a pile of shirts they always seem to recognize and remember me. Great people. read more

SO wonderful. I have never been to the dry cleaners before and this was a great experience (also I have never written a yelp review but I felt so inclined). I trashed a very nice couture dress and needed it in 2 days. I thought this was a pretty ridiculous request, but I called and asked them about it because I saw they had good reviews on yelp. They were amazingg, such great service. They were super friendly from the very beginning and kept me in the loop about getting my dress in time. They had my dress done literally in a day and a half and I was ecstatic, even better they somehow by the graces of God got my dress to look just as good as new. I also drove 30 mins to get there not knowing it was so far, but I don't think I will bring my dry cleaning anywhere else! I am very grateful for their services and HIGHLY recommend! Also, they are unreal at cleaning uggs. Unreal as in shockingly good. And that is all. Hope this helps. :) read more

Best dry cleaners. There is no other way to say it. Great clean and best customer service I've encountered. Very friendly and willing to accommodate you if they can. I walked in a bit turned off because it turned out to be a longer drive than expected but I walked out very pleased and the drive was totally worth it. As soon as I walked in they welcomed me with a big smile, and even gave chocolates to my little godson. As I was giving them the items I noticed a shirt had a little rip on the collar and he (the wonderful employee) offered to stitch it for me. At this point I was supper happy with how friendly and helpful they were. To make things even better, after hearing how I drove for a while to get there, he offered to register me for their VIP program to get discounted prices and FREE SHIPPING! I couldn't have been happier when he told me about the free shipping. My clothes got delivered and the shirt was very nicely stitched and all my clothes were wonderfully clean. Happened upon these guys on my way home from work one night. After being charged an incredible amount from the place down the street, I was anxious to find a new, reliable dry cleaner. I couldn't have been happier with Emerald. Obviously family-owned (mom and son were both present when I dropped off my clothes), these guys have a knack for appreciating their customers, small businesses, and their neighbors. I received free enrollment to their "VIP" program (which also offers complimentary pick up and delivery), a hand-written thank you note, an innovative garment bag that turns into a laundry bag, and complimentary chocolates! Exemplary service for much less than the laundromat up the street. And my clothes look great! What a relief to have a go-to! read more

Great local business. The owner is usually there and treats me like a regular. They do a good job on our clothes and we trust them with our custom made and tailored clothes without reservation. I never think ahead and often come with a full load and need certain items next day for work or for a trip and they are able to make it work. Prices are reasonable, especially for the peace of mind with expensive clothing. Still need to sign up for their free pickup/delivery service, just keep forgetting to think ahead... read more

I was married in Italy in June 2015 and planned to have a reception 5 weeks after returning home. I knew I would need my dress cleaned once for the reception and again when I was ready to preserve it. Emerald Cleaners is NOT close to my home! I live in Peabody and knew it would be a trek but it was absolutely worth it! Other reviews gave me the confidence to use them and I am so glad I did. They were nice and friendly and did exactly what I asked. June is an extremely busy time of year but my dress was ready two days prior to my reception and looked perfect. I had a pair of lace shoes that had grass stains and black smudge on the heels from riding in an old car in Italy. They were not sure if they'd be able to get out the stains but assured me they would not charge me if they could not do it. The shoes were restored to almost 80% of their original look and I was able to wear them again for the reception. Emerald Cleaners even scheduled a pick up and drop off free of charge after the reception so I did not have to drive down there with the big dress and veil again. My gown and veil are now neatly and perfectly stored in a safe large box. Emerald Cleaners has excellent customer service and were one vendor that made the whole wedding process a little less stressful! Definitely recommend. read more

Horrible experience. Brought my wedding dress here to fitted, seamstress did a terrible job. Had to take it somewhere else.

Great all around experience..free pick up and delivery, quality work and great customer service and they are Eco-Friendly...seeing my green garment bag on my doorstep every week vs having to go to the cleaners and pick up my dry cleaning is like Netflix vs Blockbuster read more

This place was great! The people who picked up and dropped off my laundry as well as the person I dealt with on the phone were so friendly and helpful. They were able to get a huge stain out of a white table cloth that was very dirty. They dropped off my laundry even before we said we needed it by, even despite there being a huge storm in the area. They were the only cleaner around able to accommodate what my company needed on such short notice. And on top of that the price was beyond reasonable! The company I work for and I will be using them for all of our dry cleaning needs from now on! read more

FANTASTIC! I have been using them for about 4 months now and wish I had started sooner. My clothes have come out clean and neatly folded every time. I love their dry cleaning services. it is a life saver with my job. I can have them do everything on the same run, sheets, normal clothes, and dry cleaning. They pay special attention to tags. I've inadvertantly put dry clean only in the normal laundry bag and they have pulled it out and made sure it has gotten proper care. Best of all, when this happened they told me about it as they dropped it off so I would not be confused. Also, the one time they were running late they called to make sure it would still work into my schedule. I've had to change my pick up/drop off time and day more than once and it has never been a problem. I also appreciate how they give you bags for laundry and dry clean clothes and take back hangers. Always corteous and friendly! Highly reccomend! read more

This place has GREAT service. I called on Monday and they offered to come out the same day to pick up my laundry and dry cleaning. I asked for Tuesday, they now pick up and drop off automatically. I leave my laundry in the hall of my brownstone, they have a key to foyer door and that's it. The clothes come back smelling clean, not like chemicals, laundry service is like being a kid and having mom do your laundry. I am spoiling myself but by the time I take my clothes to the laundromat... well I'm usually out of clean boxers. So much easier, so much cooler than spending my limited time off at the corner "dirty" laundromat. Great service, great gift to myself, lot's more time for the gym and drinking. I plan on giving the service to my sister for her birthday for 3 months, I think she'll enjoy even more than the monthly wine that she got last year. read more

I left 3 pairs of pants to be shortened (regular intake), and 1 sleeveless top to have the top of the straps shortened. I asked to pick them up on a Thursday. For good measure, I waited till Saturday to pick them up. None of the items were ready- their excuse was they'be been really busy. I said I needed them for a trip, I was leaving the next day. So I had to go again a few hours later (I asked my sister to run the errand since I had other pre-trip errands to run). All items were done incorrectly- 2 pants were still too long, 1 pair was too short. The shirt looked like a 10 year old did the job. AND they still charged me the regular price- $15 per item. Way over charged, ran late, and a crap job to boot. I'll never be going there again. read more
