I was sat immediately and chatted with a few of the waitresses who worked there to see what they liked and what was popular. I ended up going for the Mac Daddy I believe it was called. I also opted for the lamb fries and thank god I did!!! I have to say those were possibly the best fries I've ever had in my life. They are covered in a jalapeño sauce that isn't too spicy, but has excellent flavor. The fries basket was also covered in red peppers and a lot of lamb. Seriously, the fries were divine. The burger was also good, but I'd recommend you ask for it cooked well...there was a lot of pink left in the middle of it (a little too much for my liking). I had a few beers that hit the spot as well. This place has great food and excellent service, I highly recommend it!

While researching for a Beef Wellington restaurant to take my boyfriend as a part of our London…read morebucketlist, I identified 45 Jermyn St as best value. I made a reservation online with Seven Rooms. The address is in the business' name. To get to this restaurant you can take the Piccadilly line and exit Piccadilly Circus and it's less than a 10 minutes walk over. We headed to the area a little early to explore Piccadilly Circus and Fortnum and Mason next door. Upon entering, there is a coat check that can take our outerwear or backpacks. The card they gave us for our belongings were really fancy. Then we were seating at a cozy half booth. Since we knew what we wanted, we were able to quickly order when our server came around to take our orders. We wanted the Beef Wellington for 2 (£99.50) that comes with sides of Dauphinoise Potatoes and Green Beans in Peppercorn Sauce. We were surprised to be told it would be a 40 minutes wait time for the Beef Wellington due to the tableside sauce making, and it seemed like only one person was performing this task. We got some bread to start, but I didn't want to eat too much cause it would ruin my appetite for the main attraction. I also ordered a glass of Massale Pinot Noir (£15.25) and asked that it would be brought out when the food was ready. When the food was finally ready the tableside service was a fun show. All the ingredients were premeasured for the tableside chef, and he showed us every single ingredient he put it. Then he skillfully cut up the wellington without cracking or denting the crust. He mentioned starting out in pastry so he has some moves. The meal was a fantastic treat and the sides were much appreciated. The dauphinoise potatoes and green beans paired well with the wellington. The beef was cooked perfectly medium rare and evenly. The whole experience was definitely a treat. I would recommend it if you're looking to try a beef wellington... After experiencing the Sunday Roast in London, I would say the Sunday Roast experience was less expensive for equivalent or greater enjoyment. Nevertheless this is one of the better value establishments if you are looked specifically for a beef wellington experience.

It's at the end of the street on the corner, so don't let an Uber drop you off in the middle of the street and make you look for 45. The waiters were very nice, patient and attentive. There was a waitress who showed us each ingredient she used to make the sauce for our Beef Wellington. At the end she flambayed our sauce and we poured it on the Wellington. I didn't really feel like it added anything significant in flavor to it. The restaurant is nice and I agree with other critiques; you can go in casual but you're better off dressing nicely. I would definitely eat there again. They had a delicious potato augratin and garlic green beans.

I ordered the basic cheeseburger and I don't think the meat was of particularly high-quality. Also, it was cold. I also ordered their limited time only roasty tater tots. When I went to pick them up, however, they had run out of tots, and so they gave me a pile of french fries that I could dip in the gravy. Not exactly the same thing, but I thought I'd give it a shot. The fries were cold, so it didn't really much matter. The gravy was also cold. The gravy would probably be good if it were served at room temperature let alone hot. Food temperature and quality aside, the right thing to do would have been to refund the cost of the tots, not try to substitute fries without my agreement. If I had the chance to do it over, I'd skip this place.

Located right across the street from the Gloucester Road station it's really easy to find. And around 12:30 on a Sunday there were plenty of seats. Byron's is modern, yet comfortable. Staff is friendly and they make up a mean burger. Both the Hubs and I ordered the BYRON Burger - with bacon, cheddar, shredded iceberg, tomato, red onion and Byron sauce. At £9.25 the dish doesn't come with fries which is a bit of a bummer, and in turn a bit expensive. But we made sure to add a couple sides to try. The fries (£2.95) were mighty tasty. The order come in a nice size bowl that's easy to share. We also ordered up the courgette fries (fried zucchini sticks) (£3.25). I didn't love these...I guess I'd rather just stick to fresh/crisp zucchini instead of fried. Hubs liked them though. We ended with milkshakes to go. Yum. We spent about £32 ($55) on two burgers, two sides and two shakes. Which, generally, is a bit expensive for us but overall - Byron's a really good meal. Burger was seasoned nicely and cooked as asked. Soft bun. And I'm usually not fan of "secret sauces" but this one is really tasty, don't go without it.

My wife had the sea bass, it was wonderful. Big plates of food for 18 British pounds each, a bargain in this obscenely expensive city. Wine list has 30 bottles. We enjoyed a fruity well made Pinot noir from Romania. 24 pounds. Cover charge was a little extra for a special evening, still just 14 pounds. The show was 3 complete bands playing over 3.5 hours. Again this is a remarkable bargain. All employees are sincere, happy and helpful. I felt comfortable as no one was putting on any airs. I've visited jazz clubs the world around both big and small. I grew up in New York City during the 1960's where I saw world class American jazz musicians in legendary venues. Well, now it's 2018 and all those NY clubs are dead & gone. But glory be, this 606 club in London carries the eternal flame of fine jazz musicianship with care & respect. I flew all the way from San Francisco California to come here. Baby back ribs: not necessarily fall of the bone type of ribs, but if you give it a good tug , some of the meats will slide off its axis. I enjoyed it for what it's worth. Obviously, the smoker is limited in scope , so I'm not expecting Texas style quality. Was a little chewy in some places, but also tender in others. Had a preference for the chiptole bbq sauce rather than the hickory. Fries were mostly good (minus the tiny bits). So close to the meats, the fries absorbed some of the smokiness flavor. Slaw: low-point of the bbq. They used way, way, too much dressing. Like it was flooded. Also the cabbage wasn't cut finely, but presented as whole chunk slices.
