Good bread, good steak and good dessert. Nothing too adventurous here but what is provided is served up well. I went for lunch on Sunday and the restaurant was only half busy. The interior design is nicely bright and sparkling clean with the open kitchen in the centre of the restaurant. It is a well kept dining establishment with respectable food and a wall-full of wine to choose from.

Oh myyy! I had the best time here for their doggy Sunday which happens just once a month. It's a magical time where dog lovers from all over London gather in one place, eat fantastic steak, drink amazing cocktails and let their dogs run free in the restaurant/kitted out outdoor area. While we ate amazing steak and the crispest of potatoes while watching Wimbledon, our dogs were treated to home made empanadas and bacon treats while drinking from personalised dog bowls. All the dogs were having a ball of a time playing with each other and the various toys set up in the garden. And they were all treated to a goodie bag at the end of the meal! I don't think marley has had this much fun in forever thanks to all the friendly dogs and dog loving staff. Thank you gaucho Hampstead!

A chain is a chain - all the links are all the same. Sometimes there is a pendent, the flagship link that's bigger and better than the rest but basically the point is uniformity, you know what to expect. This can definitely be a good thing. If you like what the chain is about. Gaucho is all about Argentinean steak set in a dark, masculine atmosphere of leather, animal skins and cocktails. The meat quality is good here - this part of South America does produce amazing meat and here you'll find them priced between £12 and £36, depending on the cut. They also do burgers and the like at the cheaper end of the price range. Go when you're hungry.

This is a beautiful place to go for a romantic evening or a very special occasion. It is expensive, but worth every penny. The restaurant is filled with dim lighting, the seating is covered with cow prints and if you fancy eating outside the back there are heaters and it is covered. Your evening starts with a member of staff taking your coat to a cloakroom, seating you for a cocktail by the bar and chili flavoured popcorn! When you are ready you get seated at a table of your choice and they bring over a whole board full of steaks and describe each one to you if you ask. You really do get a good piece of meat here and can watch them make your meal. You also get a good range of bread before your dinner, which is free and doughy. This is the best restaurant in London I have seen so far. The food will not leave you hungry and the service is very professional.

Amazing Sunday doggy brunch for your fluffy pals! On arrival you're greeted with red carpet entrance; It happens on the first Sunday of the month with a full on roast with quality steak. It comes on a hefty wooden bench with amazing crispy potato and seasonal vegetables on the side. The restaurant gets closed just for the event with a outdoor space for the dogs to run around and test their agility skills! The dogs get their personalised water bowls and get bacon ranchers and little nibbles to keep them busy too. Little Milo our puppy had a great time playing with other dogs that he slept right through on the way home. He even got a goodie bag with a gaucho cupcake and a new toy!

How to ruin a picanha? Try this. First slice it and then try to make it medium rare. Impossible. The worst picanha ever in history.

Good but for Argetinian the price is high. Although quality is good. If the price were more economic I would say it was 5/5

I mention this because we have some amazing steak restaurants in SoCal. The restaurant had several families dining, and had a nice level of background chatter. Our chef took the time to come speak with us, recommend cuts of beef and generally go over our options. This was a lovely surprise as this rarely happens. We started with "fall off the bone" ribs and the Hallumi - (squeaky cheese - wish I could find this here in SoCal... if anyone reading this knows a place... please let me know!) We ordered rib eye steaks, I had the filet... with sides of creamed spinach/truffle fries and Mac and cheese. Everything was cooked to our liking, and the chef came back out to check on us. We actually ended up going back again just because the food and service were great. Look forward to visiting again! (Oooh... if you go, ask for their salts.. I liked the Merlot infused one)

And for the quality of food you get, I think this place is reasonably priced. The restaurant is not far from Old Street station and has a pub feel, but slightly more refined. The staff was really friendly, attentive and knowledgeable on the menu. I highly recommend a reservation though as even when we came here on a Monday night, it was busy. I don't think you can go wrong with almost anything on the menu. Everything we had was delicious, and you can tell the chef's really know how and understand how to cook and flavor meat to perfection. The most surprising item though, is the White Chocolate Cheesecake. It is served out of a dish, tiramisu style, and is one of the best desserts I have had in a while. It was not too rich but so flavorful. So when you come here, make sure to save room for dessert!

I like a crispy crackle on top of my pork belly. The red cabbage was okay but came in a separate dish and I wasn't too sure what I was meant to do with it. The dish was accompanied by a meat gravy which when I tried it overpowered the delicate flavors of the pork. Being quite hungry I also ordered potato gratin but the potatoes were a little hard and undercooked. There also wasn't very much sauce and in some instances was just potato on potato with no sauce in between. If I came here again I'd probably have the steak since it is called steak & co so that's their specialty. Service was as expected, my water cup was kept filled and received the bill when requested. Overall just okay really. Ambiance was typical for a chain restaurant. Not too loud and nothing to complain about.

Everything was grilled right in front of me but the sandwich ended up being smaller than I expected, though the generous portion of chips made up for it. Chips were excellent though I was annoyed that they didn't have any containers for sauce and instead squirted it right in the box, which made some of the chips soggy by the time I got back to my flat. The steak was a bit gamey honestly and didn't taste super high quality. I did quite like the bread the sandwich was on however. It was fine but I won't be adding it to my regular lunch list.

I put a ridiculous amount of chimichurri on mine, and it tasted like heaven. This food stand probably has one of the longer waits, but I guarantee you that it's worth it!
