They patiently explained all of the equipment and the process went very smoothly. We decided to keep them on to do our pool maintenance. GL pools serviced my pool for a couple of years. The staff and employees are all very kind. However, numerous issues and problems I did not appreciate. I had to constantly remind the tech to do remove the leaves and brush the pool properly. As if that wasn't his job?. He was in and out in 5 min. I paid them to repair the pool vac. Within 3 months it was not operational again?? I Constantly reminded the tech of problem and never took care of it. Finally, I called for new company to give me quote to service my pool, he looked at pool vac that wasn't working for 6 months, it took him 30 seconds to remove rock inside the vac and it worked.. lastly, I got tired of GL pools nickel dimming me for things without my authorization. They claimed it was stipulated "in contract" Since it was on auto pay , my account funds were sucked out at their discretion many times. New pool guy is now property taking care of pool and no surprise charges. My recommendation, charge what you are scheduled to charge and get pre-approval on extras beforehand read more

GL pools is more than just a pool company. Their staff is unbelievable! So friendly and really make you feel that you are more than just a client to them. They make you feel like you are their friend. I look forward to them coming over for services. On top of all of this, there pool service is excellent. My pool is used almost daily and I never have any problems. They somehow are able to keep it crystal clear year round! I don't even know where to begin. We sort of "kept' this company because we bought the house and the seller had already been using them. They did their job, but always did it just..ok. We were constantly having to call them to fix something, do it better, come back and do it again. Our pool was never perfectly clean, but being a new pool owner I thought this was acceptable. We left on vacation for 10 days, and when we came back our pool was green! They told us, "it will take some time to get back to normal because of the new pump". Thankfully my husband knew enough to know this was bull, so he went to East Mountain and they sold him something to put in the pool. Within 2 hours our pool was crystal clear!!! This company that we had been paying for months to take care of our pool had done Nothing to help it get clear. And another company took care of it within hours. They rarely returned our phone calls, always had attitude, like we were bothering them in some way. And the icing on the cake was when they decided to put a chlorine floaty thing in our pool. Never asked us, never mentioned it, and tacked on $80 more to our bill. Thankfully we look at our bills even though they are automatic and we called. For one, we already had one of these things in our garage and gladly would have given them to use it. And second, after telling them we are not paying for this item that you tried to charge us for they told us to go find another company. The fired us!!! Best decision both of us made! Now our pool is crystal clear thanks to our new Phin! What a waste of money for so many months. read more

I was incredibly impressed with the speed in which my pool heater was replaced. Kyle also told us that the wrong heater was ordered; we actually received a better one than the one we had planned on buying, and Kyle didn't charge us the extra cost because it was his mistake in ordering it. Now, that's taking responsibility and having honor, something you don't see with all companies these days. My hat's off to Kyle for taking that responsibility. Totally love this company! Today I had them come out to help repair my pool cleaner line which had become clogged with leaves after the storms. They came out the next day from my call (which was a weekend)! They were great and had a lot of experience and knowledge! Worked hard to get a difficult clog while also giving me advice to prevent future clogs, improve pump usage and electricity and were just nice honest guys (this matters to me having people around my dogs and kids). We had leaking pool equipment and problems with our pump motor. Gardiner & Lobe diagnosed the problem and recommended the best solution for our budget. They helped us prioritize things we need to repair along with things we need to keep an eye on and budget for as our equipment is aging and nearing end of life. They let us know about the equipment options without trying to upsell us on things we didn't need. They also provided info and estimates on equipment that we can upgrade later if we want. We really appreciate their honesty and have been super happy with the quality installation of the equipment. I have received a couple of the cleanings where nothing was done other than to add chlorine. I finally had to cancel the service today.
