It was Jake's first visit to our pool. Following the excellent initial visit from Curtis (which included complementary testing), we hired Aquasure (also I had excellent conversations with Alex, the owner). And on their advise, we emptied 75% of our pool and refilled it to lower the Cyanuric acid levels (which were about 3x higher than the allowable range). Jake tested the refilled pool water, added the necessary chemicals, checked the pressure filter and recommended changing the grids. We are very happy overall with Aqua Clear. read more

Submitted for bids from FOUR different pool service companies in SD to install a replacement pool heater. The best bid was from Aqua Clear and they had a good rating too, so we moved forward. Could not be more happy with Alex and his team. Great communication, on time, friendly, etc... There was a small issue with the fan/blower after the install and I thought we would be down for another week or so. They came back the very next day and replaced the part - impressive! They came out as promised and evaluated things well, they provided an honest and trustworthy assessment.

The service is good but the rates are unfair. They charge unfairly large prices for every chemical used. The $150 charge expected becomes $250 in a hurry. He quote me $150 oper month but then started charging $195 for months with 5 weeks. What happened to the per month quote? I don't need $250 bills for pool we don't even use. The owner Alex is unrelenting in letting me know that per 4 weeks is what he meant when he said a month. He argued with me for hours plus on this. We had a terrible experience with our previous provider who failed to put the proper chemicals in the pool week after week and turned our pool GREEN. They had to be replaced, but in previous experiences - it was difficult to find a company who would service a commercial pool. We found Aqua Clear Pool Service by seeing one of their trucks on the road and called right away. A gentleman named Alex answered the call and came to the property the next day with his colleague to check out the pool. Although the condition of our pool was terrible, they didn't seem phased by it. They were confident that they could reverse all the damage that was caused. They are so knowledgeable and so professional. They turned our disgusting green pool into a beautiful clean sparkling pool the very next day! There were several other things around the pool that needed maintenance which they also handled and then we retained them for weekly service. I havent had to think twice about the pool since!! We get an email after each service visit with a photo, all the chemical levels noted, and any issues or recommendations noted as well. I could barely get a door hanger with the other provider to let me know when he came! Initially, this service was very reliable and cordial. They came and assess my pool and told me what services would entail. I had two huge pine trees in my backyard, and they were straightforward and noted that they preferred I remove the trees before agreeing to service the pool-which I understood. So, I paid $8000 to have two pine trees removed. I immediately called Aqua and no one else to come to service my pool. Usually, the service is good, but then over time, good service wanned. They were to come once a week and clean it. My house is an Air BnB and the pool is perhaps the biggest draw to my property. Most of my bookings are on the weekend. but when my Air Bnb guest came, the first complaint was that the pool wasn't clean. I immediately called Ginger to tell her and eventually someone would come clean it. The very next wee, the same complaint from another guest. They sent someone over and it was at this point Ginger complained about access to the pool, which was a legitimate concern. I had build stairs initially but my neighbor complained they the stairs were on his property. So I had to remove them and put a small step for access. When Ginger brought this to my attention that it was a problem, I understood and asked if it would be ok if they access the pool by coming through the house-since I could unlock the door remotely. I never heard back from her. The following week I personally went to the house and noticed that the pool hadn't been cleaned again. I then tried to call Ginger but no answer. It was a Friday morning and guest were arriving later that afternoon. No answer and no reply to my text. I then asked my manager to call suspecting that they were intentionally no answering my calls. And sure enough, she answered my manager or called her back. My manager told her that the pool was not clean and Ginger said she would send get back with my sister. About three hours later Ginger texted to say someone was coming over and that that service would be the last one and that they were discontining the service. Since I had already researched on how to clean no the pool, I told her no need to send someone (three hours after the fact), and I asked her to put in writing why was my services being discontinued. Later that day, she sent me a bride email noting the problem with access and she also pointed out the space of my pool supplies was cluttered. She also mentioned problems with someone touching values causing the jacuzzi to lose water. Now, let me say here, that I cannot make any service keep me on and that I understand frustrations noted earlier. But I was told that access was a problem the last time I spoke with Ginger, and I was very apologetic and it was then I asked about entry through the house but of course, the only time I had back from her was when I was told they were discontinuing my service. I may not be a perfect client, but I pay my bill, and only called them when I needed them. And the fact is, they had already discontinued my serices without even telling me. I wasn't until I went there and saw that the pool hadn't been cleaned that I reached out to them. Now to add insult to all of this injury, is my so-called final bill. On the last time they came to clean the pool, it appears that the filter needed cleaning and there was a clog-presumably because of the trees (this is interesting since I paid $8000 to remove to big trees that over the pool. So the so-called final bill was $788.07 of which they charged me $607 for the service from the last call about the pool not being clean. If I owe for a bill, I will glady pay, but in this case my card on file was charged that exorborant amount without ever talking to me about it. Ignoring my calls/texts, dropping me as a client without ever a warning (to give me a chance to correct problems), and then charging me that much money wihtout even talking to me about it; all of which are the actions of professionals. I was not a bad clientand I am sure demanded no more than any other clients. And I always paid my bill. I truly didn't deserve this last treatment. read more
