    Kale salad

1st time there..very pretty place, Zen like. We started with a complimentary lil delightful delicious bite and then beef carpaccio and kale salad, both were delicious. They have a nice by the glass wine list. I had a special, house made pappadelle with white bolognese, yummy; husb had clams and spaghetti. Bread was so nice and crisp. For dessert we went wild and each got our own, creme brûlée which had a nice hint of orange, we also had a chocolate mousse. Everything was enjoyed, service impeccable. It was my bday and the chef came and sang so beautifully, opera like. Certainly a special place, I look forward to enjoying again. The ambiance is just so relaxing and perfect.

Wonderful spot for a date night. The food is pretty good it's just a little price. The wine list is ok and is also pricy. The service was great and all the staff is really friendly. I have the branzino which per usual is served table side but the server struggled to filet the fish correctly and left a lot of the meat on the fish.

The experience of dining at Giordi is nothing short of spectacular. I have had the pleasure of dining here twice and both for were absolutely amazing. The restaurant is beautiful, it reminds me of being on a costal beach with the light and airy atmosphere. The service is absolutely incredible. The servers are very knowledgeable of the menu and take the time to explain things. I recommend discussing wine parings with their amazing Somali. I will always recommend the beef carpaccio they do an amazing job. Even more recently I enjoyed the salmon carpaccio which had so many layers of delectable flavor. The pasta dishes are all incredible but I would recommend enjoying the specials the chefs changes on a daily basis. To wrap up your meal be sure to enjoy and digestivo and the affargato.

I celebrated my birthday at Giordi yesterday and we were 5 people who enjoyed the 7-course tasting menu. 2 of us had the wine pairing. This is the BEST dinner I've ever had in the U.S. and certainly the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to anywhere in FLorida! My husband and our friends were so impressed and we're all foodies and love great food and wine. Wow! I highly recommended Giordi! Food, wine, service, ambiance is amazing. Thank you for making my birthday dinner such a wonderful and memorable evening!!

First time coming to Giordi and it won't be my last! I was blown away with service everyone was so polite and very helpful. The wine expert has very good knowledge and really helped us pick the perfect wine, it was absolutely delicious. The food was incredible! I had the steak special it was perfect the sauce used for the steak was so creamy and delicious accompanied with black rice and veggies, if you are a steak lover I highly recommend! The ambiance of the restaurant was so peaceful and such a great vibe, loved the music played. Thank you Giordi for such a pleasant night! I will definitely be back

When is La Grande not so Grande?…read more Been wanting to visit this classic restaurant in historic downtown Stuart since my move to Stuart. Tucked in the old Post Office Arcade building, its partially hidden walkway leading to the restaurant only adds to what lies ahead. As you enter you step into a world that speaks to a time of classic old world elegance. Antiques, elegant draping window coverings and a beautiful fountain at its center, this restaurant brings to mind what a dining experience was like in the nineteenth century. Unfortunately, the service and food sadly do not match the exquisite ambience. SERVICE : The service, or should I say lack of service was evident from our first step in the door. We waited for several minutes before anyone noticed we were standing there waiting. Once noticed, we explained that we had a 7 pm reservation which the hostess of course could not find. She scanned the restaurant (which was empty at the time) and told us she would see if she could find us a table. After several minutes we finally were seated. Another 15 minutes past before someone walked past and asked if we had been taken care of, which of course we had not. He assured us that he would get someone as soon as possible, which added another 10 minutes to our already extended wait. Eventually our "server" showed up. You'll note that I put the word server in quotes because this person was anything but a server. So as not to bore you with specifics, let's just say I have a problem calling someone a "server" who is totally incapable of serving! A person who doesn't understand "medium rare", who misses several ordered sides and charges us for dishes we never received clearly doesn't deserve the term "server". THE FOOD: There were three people in our party. For appetisers, we ordered the Martier Escargot which had a bitter taste because of the burned butter, the Blueberry Brie Crostini, which turned out to be the best dish of the evening was outstanding, and the potato goat cheese puffs were light and delightful. For our entree's, we ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon which was overcooked, dry and tasteless, the New Zealand Lamb Chasseur which was fine except for the missing asparagus (which our server assured us he would get back out and immediately forgot) and finally the 12 oz Prime New York Strip which was cooked well done instead of the medium rare requested. I do need to mention that the garlic risotto was fantastic, creamy and tasty. Unfortunately, we had to enjoy it at home as our server didn't bring it until we were completely done with our meals! As far as desserts go, after our 1 1/2 hour stay, we decided to forego any additional pain and accordingly skipped dessert. Finding our server throughout the night was a challenge of hide and seek and this includes getting our final bill which, as mentioned above, took three trips to get right! The Ambiance: This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant that cries for matching service and a creative efficient kitchen that produces dishes that represent their grand names. THE BOTTOM LINE: As with all my reviews, we come to what I like to call the "customer so what". Would I come back? The answer... as a walk through to see what elegant dining looked like in the 19th century... absolutely! Perhaps you could sit at the bar and enjoy a Manhattan but, to dine? The offerings, as mentioned, were a mixed bag but unless you're into the pain of some of the worst service you'll ever experience, absolutely not!

From the moment we walked in and were handed a glass of prosecco, it was clear this would be something different. There was an intentionality to everything--the pacing, the ambiance, the way each course was introduced. It didn't feel transactional. It felt ceremonial. Each of the six courses represented a different European destination (Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Greece), and what made it extraordinary wasn't just the quality of the food--which was exceptional--but the way the environment transformed alongside it. Lighting, visuals, sound, and narration worked together in a way that made every dish feel contextual and meaningful, rather than simply plated. Every part of this immersive experience contained instruments working in harmony to amplify the meaning of each course. The courses were beautifully composed and balanced. Nothing felt excessive or forced. Each plate served a purpose in the broader narrative, and each wine or cocktail pairing elevated the dish rather than competing with it. What stood out most, though, was how present it made you feel. In a world where most dinners blur together, this one didn't. Time slowed down. You became immersed. Fully engaged. The service was impeccable--attentive, warm, and deeply knowledgeable without ever feeling rehearsed or overbearing. You felt guided, not served. Tommy (the owner/proprietor) and his staff were unquestionably five-stars. By the end, you remembered how it felt to be transported somewhere else without ever boarding a plane. It's worth every moment.

European Corner - A Taste of Europe at the Merritt Square Mall…read more Late one Friday morning a group of us met here for lunch. It was a very warm morning & the tables in the large covered outdoor patio were unoccupied. As soon as we entered, we noticed that the restaurant, itself, was warm. Individually two of us requested an adjustment to the A/C but it was not possible. Unfortunately, for us, that meant that we were a bit uncomfortable throughout the meal. After we were seated, our pretty server who hailed from Russia presented us with menus & filled our water glasses. She then left a basket filled with warm delicious rolls attractively lined in linen napkins. While we waited for the rest of our party to arrive, I glanced around the restaurant appreciating its lovely ambiance. We sat a table for six covered in pale peach tablecloths. Inside the matching linen napkins was our silverware. A small vase of flowers on the tables added other notes of color and elegance to the room. The walls were a beautiful blue or warm golden yellow color. There was a nice-sized bar at one end of the room with a full selection of alcohol available. The beer selection was quite extensive. Long Curtains on the outside windows filtered the view of the mall parking lot. Music played in the background. I felt like I was back in Europe. The menu is not overwhelming but there are enough choices to please everyone in our party. I cannot even pronounce my selection even though I ask a friend next to me who has lived all over Europe to repeat it several times to me. In the end, I just point to my choice and we all laugh. Let us see how YOU do with the pronunciation. It is Pljeskavica Gourmet, $12.95. I have ordered it here, several times before, so you would think by now that I could pronounce it. The dish is Ground Beef & Pork, stuffed with Cheese and Bacon, served with Fries and Chopped Onion. It arrives with a small amount of a freshly chopped tomato sauce. It tastes delicious - like Meatloaf. My European friend seating next to me starts with a bowl of Cream of Mushroom Soup, $3.45 served piping hot and she declares that it is very good. She then orders a Caesar Salad, $4.95 that arrives on a large chilled plate with lots of very fresh green lettuce, croutons, a generous sprinkling of Shredded Cheese & a tasty Caesar Dressing. We are all surprised at the many wedges of ripened tomatoes surrounding the salad. How unusual! Later, she orders the Crepes for Dessert, $4.45 (choose - with Nutella, Walnuts or Honey.) She is happy with its preparation. The server brings her some plum preserve to top the crepes. My sister orders the Philly Cheese Sandwich, $8.95 that consists of Shaved Prime Beef, Onion, Pepper, Mushroom and Cheese, which she thoroughly enjoys. Serving the sandwich sliced makes for neater eating. Another diner at our table orders the Shopska Salad, $4.95 that constitutes of Tomato, Cucumber, Pepper, Onion and Feta Cheese. It arrives on a chilled plate and looks very fresh and appetizing. Our final diner orders the Chicken Breast with Cheese Sandwich, $6.95. We are all satisfied with the food. Someday I want to order the Crème Brulee for dessert. There are many choices for coffee including Cappuccino (and Double Cappuccino) but with the room so warm, I pass on the coffee - maybe another time. The service at our lunchtime visit is good too. Our server refills our water glasses without any reminders. She patiently explains any menu questions that we have and is quite attentive to our needs. There is only one other diner in the restaurant luckily for us. Our only other negative beside the lack of adequate A/C is that the server requests that we pay in cash for meals costing less than $10.00. For one diner this is a big problem and she has to order an additional item to bring up her bill. I have never run intro this at a sit down restaurant before so be aware of this if you decide to dine here for Breakfast or Lunch. The restaurant's Cyber Café, separate from the dining area, is also quite popular with the staff/crew from the several Cruise Lines that dock at nearby Port Canaveral.
