Had dinner here this evening and sorry it took so long to make it here. I had the lamb shanks braised in garlic and lemon absolutely delicious. I started with the lemon chicken soup which was really great. Then for dessert I had the Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts and would definitely have it again. The service was outstanding, never had to look for someone to ask for more tea or anything. The atmosphere is simple clean and comfortable. Absolutely and definitely recommend that you try this establishment. read more

I did not get pictures but I had a terrific lunch today at Nostalgia and I highly recommend it for not only the food but for the wonderful service and atmosphere. Myself and 2 friends all thoroughly enjoyed our meals - I had the pork chop sandwich which comes with fries and a cup of soup . I choose the Avgolemono soup which is a traditional Greek soup of chicken, rice, egg and lemon. (Insert chefs kiss) . The pork was a generously sized cut of pork, very tender, deliciously spiced and complimented by some grilled onions and mustard on a nice bun. Delicious. My companions were also very happy with their lamb burger and chicken souvlaki. In addition to great food- the service was amazing. Our server Casey was super attentive and great service really adds to the whole dining experience. I am already looking forward to going back and trying some more of the menu. read more

Stopped by the little Greek spot for lunch during my work break. Walking in I was promptly greeted and seated. The server was very polite, and attentive. It was a quiet setting with some music in the background. Loved the feeling as it reminded me of a mom and pop small business you wont find in Queens, NY. I ordered a Greek salad with pork souvlaki and a side of Pita and Tzatziki sauce. Along with my order i was given a lemon chicken soup and garlic bread. Both were delicious. The pita and tzatziki was one of the better ones I've found in the Treasure coast. The salad and souvlaki were good but not the highlight, the service was. Fresh tasting food, and great customer service. Wishing them continued success. Hope to be back soon. read more

Service was as great as the food. Very pleasantly surprised to find a very good Greek restaurant. Just a heads up, the place is small with limited seating. But if you have to wait for a table, it is well worth worth the wait read more

Excellent Greek restaurant with a welcoming greek owner. We got a welcome appetizer, fresh warm garlic bread was very nice and tasty. I had the greek Avgolemono soup, it was very nice. My entree was a greek salad with chicken souvlaki perfectly made, so delicious! My kids had the pasta with greek meatballs which was ok but not the best to try from the menu. Fresh, authentic food, and very generous portions. Food is amazing. Great value! Highly recommend! read more

Are we back the very next day? YES. We're back for round 2 because we're gonna be leaving Florida soon and of course I couldn't leave without trying their branzino. This time we brought my in laws so we can over order even MORE. We got their branzino, mussels, grilled octopus, and grouper. All their seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly, except the grouper which was slightly overcooked. We did let our server know, who was more than open to making it right for us, but we insisted we just eat it.. just notes for next time! For apps we also tried their saganaki which they flamed before serving - a fun little show before our meal. The food really speaks for itself at this restaurant and the locals definitely know it. The restaurant is packed by dinner time. If you're in the area, definitely give this spot a try. read more

Delicious! Picked up lunch at nostalgia, everything was hot and fresh and ready on time. Generous portion of gyro plate, enough for 2 to split or keep it for leftovers. Lunch includes a cup of soup and a side: went with the lemon potatoes, they were cooked perfectly. Loukamades made hot and fresh to order, not too sweet, perfect chewy consistency. read more

We're thrilled that Nostalgia Greek Taverna has opened in its new South Stuart location! Though the space is small, it feels cozy rather than cramped, with tasteful décor that nods to Greek style without going over the top. It's warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed meal. The menu is absolutely lovely, and the food remains just as fantastic as ever. We dined on opening night and were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. I opted for a light dinner of Souvlaki, which was perfectly cooked--though just a touch under seasoned for my taste. It was served with flavorful lemon potatoes and a crisp Greek salad topped with a refreshing house dressing. My husband enjoyed a generous glass of house Merlot (simple but satisfying), along with a well-prepared Gyro and a bowl of hearty vegetable bean soup--so rich and filling it could have been a meal on its own. From presentation to service, everything was thoughtfully done. The ambiance is light, clean, and comfortable--an ideal backdrop for both casual lunches and leisurely dinners. Desserts are made in house and are delicious. With a fantastic lunch menu available from 11-5, an early bird special that delivers great value, a welcoming happy hour, and a delicious dinner selection, this spot is sure to become our weekly go-to. Welcome to the neighborhood, Tom! We're so glad to have you back. read more

Delicious food. Good value. Easy to get a table. i will definitely go back. Give it a try.

Absolutely exceptional! I grew up eating traditional Greek dishes, so my bar for Greek cuisine is pretty high and Nostalgia blew away my expectations. Everything we tried was delicious and cooked perfectly. We tried the tzatziki, the spanakopita, shrimp slovakia, Saganaki, a dessert that was flambéed table side, and a delicate white Greek wine. The service was attentive, extremely helpful and kind. The restaurant is decorated cutely, it is a little cozy with maybe 15 tables, but not overpacked. It was recommended to us to make a reservation, and I'm glad we did as the dining room was pretty full. Very excited to try more of the menu! And to get some pictures next time read more

Parent review: Very nice people! My daughter when asked what she wanted to eat. She said she wanted a hamburger which isn't on their menu. The gentleman thought about it and said, I can do that. Her food looked delicious. All of our food was delicious and there was soooo much of it. We left full and with leftovers. Their high chairs were some of the cleanest high chairs I've observed at a restaurant. I found it noteworthy ‍. To say the place is clean under sells it in my opinion. You must try the calamari! The moussake also amazing. Prices were also favorable read more

So happy to have Nostalgia back!! We stopped in recently and it was just like we remembered--absolutely delish. The souvlaki was perfectly cooked and flavorful, and the saganaki... (literally and figuratively) was SO good. Service was friendly and on point, and they've even got a few happy hour drink specials which makes it even better. If you loved it before, you'll love it again. And if you never made it before they closed--go now. So glad they're back! read more

Nostalgia Greek Taverna - Greek salad with feta and chicken souvlaki. - Greek Near Me - Stuart, Florida

We found it by accident. 5 pm on a Monday and it was bustling. As soon as we sat down, bread, water and menus appeared. Garlicky, crispy, hot bread was a preview of what was to come. Thomas ( who I think is the owner) gave us some guidance. Crunchy Greek salad. Piping hot Chicken and rice soup with just the right amount of lemon. Perfectly roasted chicken full of Greek flavors....not a speck left on my husband"s plate. Moussaka with an inch thick, golden brown creamy béchamel topping filled with savory meat, eggplant and potatoes . Lemon potatoes of my dreams swimming in delicious olive oil. Only disappointment was the baklava, it was a little soggy, not crisp layers of phillo. Scant on the nuts and too generous on the honey syrup. We will try another dessert next time. We watched huge plates filled with octopus, salmon and piles of traditional meat dishes so we will be back to try the rest of the menu, Amazing service, exciting vibe, small so make a reservation. read more

Are here for the first time after seeing a recommendation on the neighborhood app. The place was packed during dinner. All of us had the gyro platter with two folks getting the Greek fries one the rice pilaf and another the veggies. We all really enjoyed the food. Maybe the only thing I wish was there being some feta on the gyro platter. We had a cup of soup as well. I really enjoyed the lemon and my husband the bean. We will go back. Good came out fast given how busy it was. read more

Just had lunch there ! Soup was delicious! I ordered the cold appetizer which was roasted peppers, grilled eggplant and zucchini . Which sounded yummy! But they put 1/2 cup of jar chopped garlic.. I tried scraping the garlic off and ordered tzatziki, and that didn't help! I couldn't eat it spoke to the owner an he took all the garlic I scraped off back to the kitchen... but I was still charged for the vegetable and the tzatziki! Was told garlic is good for you! There were 6 of us so we won't be back and will tell other people... and all he had to do was make it right!!!!! Our waitress was good only her second day...Erika! read more

The food was delicious. Try the trio spread, they were super good. The potato garlic spread was divine! I had the gyro plate, my husband had pastichio both were very good. We had the Greek white wine Reisina?? Very tasteful. The service could not have been better. The ambience was quiet with Greek music in the background, very appropriate! I really recommend this restaurant if you are in the Treasure Coast area. read more

Don't miss this gem! Going to become one of our regular places! Everything about Nostalgia, perfection.

Wow, we cannot say enough great things about Nostalgia! We have lunch or dinner here every single week basically since they opened. We love Greek food, and it is NOT easy to find a place that is authentic, consistent, provides amazing service, and is a genuinely hospitable family-run business. This started off as our favorite Greek restaurant, and has quickly become our absolute favorite restaurant out of every restaurant we have been in Palm Beach and Martin county. Everything on the menu is great - generous portions - always an awesome experience and incredibly delicious food. Highly recommend read more

Have not been to the new location yet so we stopped by. Waited a little bit for a table but once seated service was excellent. We were attended to quickly. All the food came out quick. We both ordered greek salad with chicken. Was very good. Plenty of chicken and filled us up along with a cup of soup and an order of spanakopita. I would advise going there after 7pm. By then all the seasoners have left since it's getting close to their bed time. By the time we finished up around 8pm it had completely emptied out except for two other couples. We will go back AFTER 7pm. It was excellent. read more

The first time we tried to eat here we had not made a reservation and the wait was 30+ minutes. We decided to try another time. We did go back made reservations for 5:00 on a weeknight. When we arrived we were the second table seated. By 6:00 the place was packed. I ordered the soup and Greek salad with chicken. I loved the soup and salad was good. Husband ordered pork and chicken combo. He liked the pork but was not a chicken fan. We had the house wines which were good and we both had espresso after dinner. Everything was great. Hope to go back soon. read more

Opa! The very best Greek food, period. If you are familiar with and loved Greektown on Halsted in Chicago...this is where you need to go! Owner and manager are from Chicago area. If you have been at and loved Greek Islands in Chicago, you must go here (ask the manager about the connection). Nothing else in immediate area is comparable. Unlike most other restaurants here, this one fit the bill for me, coming from the Chicago area years ago. They have Saganacki, too...which I have yet to see anywhere else in the area. Food is *excellent*. Ambiance nice, with authentic Greek music in background. More of a clean, modern appearance than the older, traditional restaurants in the city. Service is very good, people who work there are friendly and nice. They just opened a week ago, but the owners/management have been in the Greek restaurant business all their lives, and everything was great from the get go. There are Greek restaurants everywhere in Chicago area, all were very good. I only selfishly hope Nostalgia doesn't end up moving to a larger space with more parking. Word was spreading like wildfire even before they opened. Once the snowbirds return, look out! read more

I'm not a big fan of Greek food. Nostalgia has made me a believer. My wife likes Greek food. This restaurant recently opened near us. On a whim, I suggested we try it. We arrived early w/o a reservation, and were promptly seated by Tom, the owner. Literally, in the blink of an eye, the water glasses were filled, and there was a dish with garlic bread on the table. Our server, Trisha, was right there to answer any questions we had about the menu and to take our order. She was attentive throughout the meal. We both decided to order the lamb chops which were cooked to perfection and delicious. But, first we started off with a delicious lemon soup, something that I had never had, but would order again in a heartbeat. We couldn't pass on dessert, and both of our choices were delicious. This restaurant is in a location we first started coming to twenty-five years ago when it was Chris D'Anna's. The old decor was somewhat dark. The new decor is bright and welcoming. Finally, by the time we left, the restaurant was full. So, suggest you arrive early or make a reservation because it's obvious, the secret's out. read more

A Hidden Gem That's Quickly Becoming Stuart's Worst-Kept Secret Nostalgia Greek Taverna isn't just a restaurant--it's an experience that transports you straight to the Greek islands without ever leaving Stuart. This new location is pure magic, and it's no wonder it's catching fire as a local favorite. Here's something special: when we first walked in, the place was nearly empty--just a few scattered tables, basic décor, nothing particularly impressive at first glance. But then something remarkable happened. Within thirty minutes, every seat was filled. And suddenly, I understood. The ambiance isn't the restaurant itself--it's the humanity. The people become both the artwork and the interior design. The laughter, the conversations spilling from table to table, the clinking of glasses, the collective joy of strangers sharing space and great food--that's the atmosphere. It's infectious, intoxicating, and utterly unpretentious. From the moment we settled in, we were enveloped by this energy. Our party of four started with their complimentary Greek garlic bread (I'm calling it "crack for the mind"--you've been warned), paired with a simple but sublime appetizer of feta and olives. Add their more than reasonably priced wines (we went with the Pinot Grigio), and suddenly we weren't in Florida anymore. We were dining al fresco in a Greek villa, lost in the simplicity and beauty of life itself, lingering into the late hours of the evening. For my entrée, I ordered the PASTICHIO. It looks like it might be heavy, but surprise--it's remarkably light, impossibly delicious, and left me genuinely sad when my plate was empty. In fact, the plate was spotlessly clean by the time I finished. (I won't confirm or deny any licking occurred, but let's just say I hope no one was watching.) My wife and friend both ordered the GYRO PLATE, and when it passed in front of me, I experienced a moment of genuine entrée envy. Our fourth companion had the SPANAKOPITA, which looked so beautiful it could pass for dessert. Here's the thing: we were having so much fun--laughter fueled by great food, great wine, and the collective joy of everyone around us--that I completely forgot to take pictures. But maybe that's how it should be. Life over likes. Presence over posts. Connection over content. (Though here I am posting anyway. LOL.) The Bottom Line: Incredible food, vibrant atmosphere created by the people who fill it, and you'll walk away with money still in your pocket. Nostalgia Greek Taverna is everything a neighborhood restaurant should be--and Stuart is lucky to have it. Go. You'll thank me later. read more
