Stopped in for lunch and ordered a Greek salad with lamb gyro meat .... It was big enough for 2 meals! The salad was delicious and included a few dolmades (grape leaf stuffed with rice mixture), some nice warm pita bread and tzatziki sauce. The restaurant is informal, you order at the counter and wait for them to call your number - but the wait was not long and the smell of the food cooking was heavenly. It is neither a big place nor is it anything fancy in termsof ambiance, however, their food made for a very enjoyable lunch. When we got our food I didn't recognize the cheese?? And the soup was chicken with carrots. No rice. Wow, what a pleasant surprise this place was! I was looking for a sub and came across this place and decided to go in since it's been a while since I've had a Gyro. It's located in a strip shopping center almost hidden closest to the road. As you approach the entrance, they have chairs outside, which I thought was very nice. Added to the ambience and the inside was nothing special, but it was clean for the most part although a couple of tables were dirty. The people were very friendly, the service was slow. Considering there were only three of us in there they could've done a better job. But the food, let's talk about that delicious Gyro that was nice and moist and the pita was thick and crunchy, they could've done a better job with a larger pita, but good Lord the food was delicious. I think this is one of those places that I have to go to every time I'm in town. This has made it into our rotation of lunch and dinner spots. I enjoy the taste and texture of the Gyros and the portions are large so as a family of 4 we can get two meals and feed us all. The Greek salad is crisp every time. I also enjoy the soup as do my kids. My husband lived in Greece for a year and he believes the gyro is the closest thing to Greece you can get state side.
