Having a favorite Italian restaurant in this area, we hesitated trying Uncle Giuseppe's even though it came highly recommended. The last four or five 'highly recommended" Italian restaurants in the Jensen Beach/Stuart area we tried were OK to even pretty good but not at all memorable or begging another visit so we always went back to our favorite. Felt a little guilty coming here but WOW-we were blown away. We ate here twice before writing this review because I wanted to make sure our first visit wasn't a fluke. On the first visit my wife ordered Shrimp Linguine Fradiavolo which was a generous portion of shrimp over linguine with a wonderfully spicy marinara sauce. (She let me try it). I ordered Gnocchi Sorrentina which I customized to my preferences. Substituted marinara for meat sauce and added some charred Italian sausage. Probably the best gnocchi I've ever had. Portions of both dishes were large enough to take back to enjoy for lunch the next day. On our second visit, my wife had Spaghetti Al Pomodoro and I tried Veal Marsala. Both were north of wonderful! During both visits we also enjoyed fresh garlic bread. Uncle Guiseppe's is busy and noisy. Service is so good you don't notice the "busy" once you're seated. A fun place for an old fashioned Italian dinner. It's the kind of place you went to on Sundays in suburban New York when you were a kid. Not fancy, just good. On a recent Sunday night it was jammed at 7 pm so reservations very recommended. Live singer on Saturday and Sunday who sings in the style of Tony Bennett. It's just the right tone for the place. Nearly a year and a half later, Uncle Giuseppe's is still lively and cranking out Italian American food to the masses. On a bustling Friday night, we waited about 15 minutes before they cleared a table for our party of seven. It was warm inside and though the food took much longer to arrive this time, we still had an enjoyable meal. I had an early travel day and hadn't eaten much. Let's just say I wasn't my most decisive. The large menu sounded appealing, but I had no idea what I wanted. Ultimately I landed on the Chicken Parm Pizza. What could go wrong with that epic combination?! This pizza was HEFTY. Like a linebacker. Generous pieces of baked cutlets with sauce and cheese. I wouldn't consider the pizza NY style, but a very solid wood fired pizza. What a fantastic find! As soon as I saw the word Brooklyn, I was intrigued -- and this place did not disappoint. Hands down, one of the best restaurants around. The food is absolutely delicious and portions are generous. Service was top-notch from start to finish -- even the water/bus staff and our waitress were impressively attentive. They feature live music on Saturday nights, which adds a great vibe. We couldn't resist trying the pizza -- wow! And the chicken parm? Incredible. I love that you can choose different portion sizes. Entrées come with a fresh, homemade soup or a perfectly prepared salad. We both had pasta, and it was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this gem -- a true standout! read more

We sat down and were waited on promptly by our excellent server. We were the only diners at the time in the main room, lunch time although others arrived later. The atmosphere has a newer rustic look, very clean inside and inviting. I had a salad and muscles marinara and the sauce was just perfect and awesome for dipping their delicious garlic bread in. The calzone had a nice crust enveloping that was slightly browned, again with ample marinara. My chicken marsala with penne was so tasty. The mushrooms were fresh and the sauce was definitely not watery with a fine consistency. It did have a slight soy hint, a bit confusing for Italian cuisine. The bar area is very bright and lit up which makes me want to visit for a happy hour if they have one. We will stop in again next time we go to Stuart. read more

This place is a sleeper, we came down from Jacksonville to meet up with friends and they suggested here. Anytime I can get great Italian food I will jump on and we were not disappointed. This is old school Italian cooking and flavors that brought me back to my days of growing up with and eating at my grandma's(Didn't speak English) house. Great memories via Giuseppe's food. Decor was Nothing fancy, but like being in a local family owned Italian place on the "Hill" in St Louis. Great feel and reasonably priced. The three dishes I posted photos of were three dishes my best friend and I shared. He was as excited as I was with all the great choices. Not one stood out of the three. They were all three great. Have to say the place has been my favorite until today.. had dinner and always order the clams casino... got ( Clams oreganata/ casino ) not sure what that means only to say never had casino with cheese on it..... it destroyed the task of the clams.. called for the manager and Owner came out and said it was clams casino..... should have said this is our clams casino! Coming from Long Island, New York originally, this was a nice little find to come across. The food was excellent, and definitely gives the Brooklyn/New York senses the taste they're looking for. It reminded me a lot of the million pizzerias we have throughout the island, where it feels like you can sit down, or you can take it out, and it's a weird hybrid mix, but it's a staple of the area -- so finding one down here in Florida was lovely. The cocktail drinks were a bit overpriced in my opinion for this part of the country (coming from NY and LA I'm used to it, but this is a pizza place in suburban Florida) We had a sizeable group but they did a great job of getting us all the food timely and in order, and the staff was all business with an availability to chatter a little bit as needed, which was nice. Owners were terrific people as well. I'd definitely go back for a date night of sorts. read more

Went for lunch on Saturday. It was getting busy! I had eggplant rolantini. Hubby had pasta dish. We usually have a chicken dish here. To be honest I eat eggplant everywhere I go out to eat. This was not my fav but I didn't know why. When the server came back to see if we wanted desert and asked how everything was, I couldn't stop myself from saying the truth.. hated it to much breading. He asked can he get me something else .. no I was ready to go.. btw I love the cheesecake.. he came back and said can we make some to go so I asked can u do eggplant no breading.. they did also a big plate of angel hair with oil and garlic. I had it tonight .BEST I've ever had!!! Ever!! So my suggestion ask for no breading that's actually how it's done in Italy. Ok back to being one of my favorite restaurants. Service always excellent even if they are busy! Lots of choices for draft beer and wine I'm guessing other drinks too? Very clean comfortable place with delicious looking pizza I can't eat pizza but it makes me want to cheat!! Loved the pasta with oil and garlic and very good bread right out of the oven. What a wonderful dinning experience this restaurant is! Our server Simon was an absolute professional. We had calamari for an appetizer. It was really good. My husband had bolognese and I had lasagna. Our meals came with salads and bread. Our dinners were so large and delicious! The bread is amazing! We also had wine and an old fashioned. We arrived with our three granddaughters as a few customers were leaving and a table was being prepared for us. We were given an absolutely positive server with a huge smile and excellent customer service. Two of our granddaughters have severe food allergies and Simona, our server was on top of our concerns. The drink order was enjoyed with a great wine along with the lemoncello martini. The mock tails were enjoyed by the girls. The burratina salad with chicken was delicious and the meat balls were fresh with marinara linguine were outstanding! The serving portions were very generous and take home boxes was a must as we would enjoy the meal for the next day. Our girls enjoyed the music and singer in the dining room. They even stood up with the singer and danced for a few numbers. Teenage girls can enjoy old tunes with a beautiful singer and beat! This was a lovely and quaint spot in Stuart. Dining indoor, delivery and a little bar. The bread to start was fresh baked and fluffy! We recommend getting a side of the garlic oil - dip the bread! Going for the Sunday's Special Dinner for $34.00 is a good deal for a lot of customers in Stuart. You need a reservation to get it. Last Sunday, Father's Day, we reserved for 6pm sitting and when we got to sit down, the waitress informed us that since it's Father's Day, the Special Dinner is not offered for tonight. Well, that surprise changed also changed my demeanor. It is not that I can't afford it, but I think that was taking advantage of their loyal customers. When customer makes reservation on any Sunday, the restaurant should inform customer that the Special Dinner will not be offered for any reason. read more

When the bill came, it was wrong, the server corrected it but it was still wrong, but after 2 1/2 hours in the restaurant we just got up and left. read more

Second visit to Uncle G's and I must say I was a bit disappointed. We met a couple of friends for dinner, starting with a cocktail at the bar. Great bartender and drink! A singer was belting out Sinatra, et al, so there were pleasant vibes! Sat for dinner and it took almost an hour to order. We were engrossed in conversation, so maybe the server was being considerate??? I ordered veal parmigiana, as I use this dish to judge the merits of Italian restaurants. My wife ordered a Cod special, and one other in our group ordered gnocchi. Roughly another hour passed before the food arrived, so I would have to give the service a D-. My veal was tough and overdone. The cod special was dry and not so special. The gnocchi dish looked fabulous and was enjoyable for the lucky diner. We had never been here before. We had heard good things about the restaurant. It's a couple doors from Park Avenue Grill that we frequent. My granddaughter wanted Italian so we decided to try it out. We were seated immediately since it was before the dinner rush. They gave us a loaf of garlic bread which was very good. My granddaughter and I had the house salad and my husband had the pasta e fagioli soup. My granddaughter had chicken parmigiana with penne. I had chicken piccata with angel hair pasta and my husband had eggplant Parmesan with penne. The portions were big. The food was delicious. They had TV's that were showing different parts of Italy. The restaurant has a lot of tables but they was plenty of room to move around. We will definitely be back.
