Wide selection of great food, served by pleasant waiting staff. We don't live all that close but it's worth the drive.

We went on a Friday night around 6:30 pm, and the restaurant was packed. We had not made reservations, but fortunately we were able to be seated at the bar. We were celebrating a birthday, but nothing was done to recognize the occasion. The bartenders were very busy, so there was no personalized service this night. Our drink orders were taken and served. The Green Apple Martini was light and fresh, and the beers were cold. Maybe 15 minutes later our order for pizza was taken. It was not too a long a wait for the pizza (maybe another 15 minutes), and we were served a basket of garlic bread while we waited. We ordered the largest size Veggie pizza. The crust was baked perfectly, and the toppings were all made of fresh ingredients (spinach, mushrooms, broccoli, onions, and peppers). We would have gotten a little extra red sauce, but they wanted an upcharge of $1.00 for a spoonful of sauce. Took a pass on the extra sauce. It was a little loud as there was a man with a karaoke type set-up singing a variety of songs from the 80's and 90's, and with the full dining room and bar, everyone was talking over the music. Once the pizza was served, we didn't have any additional interaction with the bartender/server until we were asked if we wanted a box to take home our leftover pizza. The pizza was really good. I would recommend if you want a more personalized experience to go on a weeknight and make reservations. I'm not sure if sitting at a table would have earned anything special for a special occasion, but we didn't receive anything special at the bar, except for the person sitting next to us who raised a glass and wished my date a happy birthday. The pasta dishes we saw come out of the kitchen looked scrumptious, and we can't wait to go back and try out some pasta entrees. read more

This was my second time at Uncle Giuseppe's and they did not disappoint. The chicken marsala was a large portion and very flavorful. The side salad was also good. Service was very attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the live music. The singer really had a phenomenal voice and made having dinner with family just a bit more festive and special. The food is good and the portions are generous but the service was God awful. Our server was pretty much MIA. After ordering and waiting for over 20 minutes we asked another server if he could find her. A few minutes later we got our soup and salad. Needless to say the soup was cold since it was probably ready 20 minutes ago. The wait for the main plates was about as long. Food was tasty but something was missing from my previous visits. Ordered the Sunday special. Meatball appetizer and salad came first. Salad was good, meatball was good but the sauce was a bit disappointing. The chicken parmigiana was tasty and good size portion. However, the two very thin cutlets i could not determine if they were frozen premade & deep fried and topped off with cheese in the oven. Bottom line is i needed the leftover sauce from the meatball to compensate for the dry cutlets. In spite of this they were tasty. BTW Shuckers does chicken parmigiana better. We have been going to Uncle Giuseppe's for a long time and I'm sorry to say that tonight's meal was not that good and I hope someone from the restaurants sees this. Appetizer was fried calamari - over cooked and chewy Chicken Milanese - over cooked and needed seasoning Either chef in the kitchen was new or just had a bad night. Yes the restaurant was crowded but we did get there early prior to the arrival of the crowd. If you want the crust a little harder they'll cook it medium to little well done otherwise the pepperoni you can see had a light crust which kept it soft and air if you don't like a hard crunch on the crust, the food was very good there they served you bread with garlic oil, which was very soft. Went for Christmas Eve and it was not the same experience. We waited quite some time for our server to come by the first time, though she was pleasant and did her best, it was intermittent. They seemed to have a LOT of busboys and backup servers - all kids - who did a lot of standing around and were mostly in the way while a handful of staff doing most of the work seemed a bit overwhelmed. We made a reservation and were seated immediately. Carlos, our waiter, was very pleasant and accommodating. I asked for shrimp scampi which was not on the menu, and he had it made for me. The dish was delicious and well done. The garlic bread and Caesar salads were good too. The drawback were the baked ravioli's. The sauce had no flavor and tasted as if it was straight out of the can. My hubby and I came here the other day for lunch. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice. The waitress was nice but could have been more attentive. My drink wasn't refilled during the meal until we were done eating then she asked if I wanted a refill. We barely saw her at all during the whole meal. The pizza was pretty good.
