Came here with a group of people tonight. I am really impressed with the food. Almost everyone ordered something different and everyone was incredibly happy. All of the entrees were good sized to huge. I started out with Stracciatella soup which was among the best I've ever had. I followed that with the Veal Piccata. The portion size was amazing and the meal was outstanding. I helped finish my friend's chicken Milanese which was equally good. Another friend ordered the chicken cacciatore which was huge. He still managed to eat every bite because it was so good. They have a decent wine list and an ok beer selection. There was a live band playing in the bar area. It made it fun but a little difficult to talk. I can't wait to come back to the area and try some other things on the menu. I'm confident that you'll enjoy your meal here. read more

I've been here a few times before but the last time(last week) was there. The waiter was less than attentive (only one other table in the room) there were crumbs on the table cloth, which he corrected us as "salt" and brushed them away! We had left the air show and we were trying to figure out where to go have good pizza. We drive by the shopping center and I go to my husband., Oh wait. I want to try Renato's. I've heard great things about it. All I can say the pizza was amazingly great. We enjoyed it. The espresso martini was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive, did not get his name. My husband was asked to dance by an older lady and he had a great time. Then my daughter was walking by the band and the guitar player community asked her if she wanted to sing and she just sang away with the band. It was a great experience. Ambiance: Excellent outside seating beneath large tree. Crowded though! Food: Excellent seafood, veal chop and chicken Artichoke. Service: our server, slow! Walked past our table 3-4 times without any acknowledgment, even with us trying to get his attention. Said he has trouble climbing stairs (3) to the deck we were seated on but was most efficient on level area!!!! Cost: $400.00 for party of 4 including a 20% tip! 5 wines, 1 martini, 3 apps and 4 dinners! A bit pricy but most likely will return! This is an awesome spot if you are in the Stuart/ West Palm area. Atmosphere was amazing with live music from a talented singer. Complimentary toasted bread to start was buttery, hot and delicious. We had crab stuffed mushrooms as well as calamari for appetizers. Both were so delicious that they were eaten before I got a chance to snap a pic. I had Rigatoni Bolognese which was very delicious. My friends had Veal Saltimbocca, Chicken Marsala, and Chicken/ eggplant Parmesan combo. Everyone loved their food. Cocktails and wine were also great. Service was stellar. Nothing bad to say about the experience whatsoever. Met the owner after the meal and she was an absolute sweetheart. Definitely go here if you are craving an amazing Italian meal. read more

Went there with my wife to celebrate her birthday with a 5:00 reservation. Got there early and wanted to sit at the bar, and the bar was full with reserved plackets were placed on the bar. They sat us at a table for 2 and you couldn't even put your legs under the table as there was a bar across the legs preventing that. I actually banged my shins on that bar. When asked to move to a proper table, there were empty tables there, I was told they were all reserved and we could sit at the bar or a high top in the bar area. Now to spend approximately $150.00 for 2 for dinner we didn't want to sit at a high top. We will never go back and, and some advice for them, change your attitude. read more

What the heck happened to what once was a fantastic place to eat? There were four of us, we came 3/8/26 for a nice Sunday meal. We ordered the chicken milenase , meatballs, calamari, ahi Tuna and mussels. Everything was COLD. The Tuna was Tiny, and just okay everything else was pretty bad except for the red sauce which was excellent. The meatballs were OLD. Hard as a rock And friggin colder than the Tuna. The Calamari was the ENDLESS chew and even colder. Not to be outdone by the mussels. Which should never have been served as cold as they were. A couple of things, there was no one really in the place and the order was delivered over 30 minutes after we ordered it. The waiter that we had was LAZY. Never asked how the food was until the end of our stay. Plus, he spent more time talking to the hostess, than attending to customers (which he had two). But, the pizza guy still is Awesome and the bartender there is solid. Two good building blocks still in place. Hopefully they can recover because sadly, they went from a 5 to a 1 in the blink of an eye. read more

Nothing short of exceptional! Best Italian in Hutchinson Island / Stuart / Jenson Beach. We come here to celebrate December birthdays with a group of New Yorkers and Bostonians - think endless opinions and no chance for agreements....that said, we all agree on Renato and Josephine's! We prefer the elevated outdoor gazebo-ish setting to take advantage of the pleasant Floridian evenings. From there the service, right level of attentiveness fits just right to make the a sophisticated but relatively informal night out. The drinks work just fine and have a taste for all seasons....however the real action is when you move into appetizers and entrees. Don't skip the nimble hand of the pizza maker and order the large to fully test his craft. You will not be disappointed.....think New York thin, right amount of char but no burnt. I had to pinch myself to realize we weren't in Naples (Italy, C'mon). But wait, it only got better from there...riding a high from delighted synapses, who thought a perfect pie could do that.....but then we asked the thoughtful waiter if they could do the bone in veal chop parmagiana style. This is not to be confused with the standard veal parm....absolutely a different game. The waiter spoke to the Chef, Josephine's son, and he approved the off menu order as of he'd been expecting the question for some time. This was our first visit, and we cannot wait to go back. Very nice atmosphere, elegant but still casual/nice. The service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious! Every bite, from the garlic bread they bring to the last bite of desert was as close to perfection as you could get. My wife had the penne with chicken and vodka sauce; she loved every bite; I had the chicken parm. I am very picky about my chick parm and pasta and this one of the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked pasta and the chicken was so tender, the breading was fried and flavored to perfection. Very good size portions as well. You won't walk away hungry. Highly HIGHLY recommend Renato's and Josephine's for a wonderful night out. read more

I had been looking forward to coming here for a while, but it was lots of hype for not much. My friend said the crab cake was good. Salad underwhelming. I chose the Carbonara but gluten-free. The sauce was super watery and when I asked for extra cheese, I was brought a shaker. An Italian restaurant without freshly-grated Parmesan is a big no-no for me. Be prepared to spend some money. Appetizers are priced at other places' entrees. And entrees are over $25. My dish was $29 and that was way overpriced for what I got. We sat not on the bar side where the music was too loud. Watch your check. They put a $ 750.00 tip on my check. I contacted the bar tender the next day once I seen the charge on my credit card. She in turn said she would let the owner Joseshine now. She said she would mail me a check back. It never was mailed. I had to call and text her several times still no check. I flew back in to town and texted her that I would stop in upon my arrival later that day to gey my money. She did give me an envelope with the $ 750.00 back but NEVER said she was sorry for the mistsake WHICH IT WASN'T !!!!!!!!!! Come to find out they have been known to do this to others. Sometimes they get caught and sometimes they don't. It's really sad as I was a regular there and ate there three times a week and took many couples there for dinner. My friend and I got SO SICK with diarrhea after eating a pizza with prosciutto and arugula and the owner did not even return my call!! Thank goodness the two women who dined with us who are both in their 80s did not share our food!! Can you imagine? This was not my choice for dinner, and I will not be returning. Food was very good except for the bread which was sort of stale or it was just Florida style bread (we are bread snobs from New Jersey/new York) Vibe was a little formal and old school, which was greatly accentuated by the very VERY loud wedding-style music playing in the bar area. YUM! Renato's is a Stuart staple. They've been around for many years and they consistently provide delicious food and great service. We always go when visiting relatives in the area. We sat outside on the patio and were immediately greeted by the server. He took our drink order and everyone got bread shortly after. The drinks are fantastic. Great wine selection. we got the tuna, fried zucchini and calamari to start. The tuna was the best of the three. For my main I got the pear ravioli. I could've gone without the walnuts because they didn't add much. The sauce was the star of the dish. Very flavorful and comforting. Everyone in our group was very pleased with their meal. We have been going to Renatos (Josephine's) for over 20 years. In the past, the food has been very, very good with excellent service. However, things have changed. Our last two visits, one in the fall and last night (December) were quite honestly, awful. The service, while friendly, was horrible. Obviously very little training in how to serve hot dishes and wine. No server should EVER reach across in front of another guest to place a drink or plate of food. Ever! I almost ended wearing my Shrimp Monachina because the server reached across in front of my husband to hand me my plate!!! And my Shrimp Monachina, my go-to dish was just terrible. Nothing like it has been in the past. The shrimp were rubbery, the pasta undercooked and the sauce nothing like I've ever tasted before. My husband's Linguine Pescatore was served with empty clamshells (no clams to be found anywhere) cremated mussels and heaped with chunks of basic tomato sauce. It did however, have three well cooked large shrimp. The meals were served hot, but separately (one at a time); apparently they only had one runner working last night. The Caesar salads, included in the meal, were very tasty and crisp but slick with too much dressing. Again, because of the lack of training, our server reached across in front of my husband to place my glass of Cabernet in front of me. A no-no in any good restaurant. And there was plenty of room for her to take three extra steps and place our meals and wine correctly. The tab, which included a glass of wine each, two entrees and one decaf Cappuccino and gratuity was $170. The prices on the tab were higher than stated on the menu by about $3 more each. It's not the money. That is not the issue. But the lack of training for the servers and the less than mediocre food is inexcusable for a restaurant that for years has delivered a quality meal served well. We don't even tell you about the party of 14 who were seated next to us and sang "The Twelve Days of Christmas" excruciatingly badly (and slowly.) We won't go back. read more

My friend and I had lunch here today. I got the minestrone soup which was ok. I probably wouldn't get it again because it wasn't anything special for me. My friend got the octopus salad (which I tried a bite from) and it was very good and refreshing with a lot of lemon flavor. She also got the gluten free pasta which was also ok. I would need to try more of the menu to leave a more comprehensive review, but my overall experience today was alright. I loved the music. read more

The last time I was here was ten years ago...it was a forgettable experience, as I couldn't remember any details about the experience, and I remember a good place when it comes to my food! But a friend of mine told me to give it another shot, and I'm so glad I did! There is nothing I can criticize, from the atmosphere, service, food, bread, price. All 5 stars! The focaccia bread comes hot and crusty and has the added touch of being served with olive oil infused with whole roasted garlic cloves that easily spread on the bread, along with grated cheese. The chicken carbonara that I had was properly made with egg yolks, not the heavy handed Alfredo sauce most restaurants use. The spaghetti was so al dente I thought I was in my own kitchen! They obviously cook the pasta to order. It was a tremendously satisfying meal, and I would definitely recommend it. A friend had the gnocchi, which she said was delicious, and another had Rigatoni Norma, which also received high praise. I'm not a wine drinker, but they do carry a large variety of wine as is evidenced by the huge array of bottles everywhere you look. All in all, give it a go. I think y'all will be pleased. read more

Best thin crust pizza in Martin County based on my time at Pepe's and Salle's', Wooster St. New Haven, CT. With Renato in the kitchen everything is delicious. This is not a spaghetti and meatballs pizzeria Italian restaurant. They will make white clam pizza for those enjoy this New England specialty. Service is very good. It's getting busy down here with many of the snowbirds arriving early so be patient. Last but not least, the bar. Friendly bartenders greet you by name and are great about introducing you to people- it's fun, plus they make a good pour Combo music Friday and Saturday with room for dancing. We are new to this area so we are trying many different establishments. We purchased a large cheese pizza. It is cooked on a pizza stone and was served with thin crust, which we prefer. It was totally delicious, well prepared and cooked to perfection. Additionally I ordered the pasta with bolognese sauce. This was also wonderful. Flavored perfectly and served piping hot. The drinks we ordered were quite tasty so overall, this was a very positive experience. Prices are slightly higher but definitely well worth the experience. We have been back twice again with a high degree of quality and satisfaction! We definitely would suggest this establishment! read more

The Chicken aParm(go to when I'm not expecting a great meal) was superb which tends to mean the rest of the menu will be better.
