Disappointed in our recent experience w Casa bella.    Food was as good as always but ultimately a very disappointing experience.  My mom who had a major milestone birthday wanted to take the immediate family for a nice dinner to celebrate.  Casa Bella has consistently been one of their places they go to since they moved here 4 years ago.   They know Gerry, Dan (waiter) and other folks.   One of the workers even gave my mom a hug.   They are regulars.   My wife and I go as well, but just not as often due to kids, other places, travel etc etc. In short, I'm writing this for her, and the night fell very short for her, and she is vowing not to go back.   My wife feels the same........so If Jerry (Gerry) is reading this let's see the response otherwise there are two families who won't go back. My mom booked a specific table many, many, many months ago.    To start, when she got there, they had just given it away.   Apparently, Jerry didn't tell anyone so Dan I think gave it away.    That was a table that could fit 8.    So the only table they could offer in the right side room (neither of us really like the room when you walk in, just a different vibe) was a 6 person table, by the kitchen, that 7 people had to squeeze into.    I can tell you my mom was less than pleased, perseverating on it.    Was it that hard to put a reserved sign on ? Then it literally took 20 minutes for someone to come over. Couldn't get water, or a menu.   Off to a real great start here!      Dan was not our waiter, another lady..nice enough, just not Dan who knew them.  He would have been if they didn't give that other table away. Fast forwarding a few things but call outs: * My sister has some health issues so she asked for olive oil on the side pasta vs marinara.  Our waitress said no, but could for an extra charge.   Seriously? *I asked for Angel hair vs the fettuccini.    I was told that would be an upcharge?   What in the holy f?  No restaurant ever has said this before..   It's the same flour water and salt........I even told her that wasn't right and crossed a line.  I didn't want mom to pay more so i declined the change.  Keep in mind my mom's dish came with angel hair.   Mom and I just laughed with WTF. Dinner was great as usual.      Then there was dessert.   Gerry said he would help with dessert at the beginning due to the table issue.    Waitress came back and said 'we'll just buy one piece for the bday girl'.     Of course.    Our favorite desserts and cannoli and tiramisu.  Of which we were told they were out due to a previous pre-opening party.    Fine, we ordered a tartufo.   Waitress came back, out of that as well.  Seriously???      Ordered 3 '2nd and 3rd choice' desserts. Our view is with all the above, they should have accommodated the two SIMPLE menu changes.    Then Gerry should have bought some wine or do something to make it right.  Very small cost for the long term.   So seriously, this is how they treat regulars?  Unless we hear back unfortunately they will not return (and remember they go there often!!!) nor will we..it bothered my wife that much. read more

My son wanted to take me out for my birthday day dinner. So he took me to Casa Bella in Stuart. When I walked in the front door , the ambiance brought me back in time to 1930's . Wall to wall paintings The food was delicious and amazing! I had the veal chops with bone in (chef's special ) the veal chops were cooked to perfection! Delicious dessert! I love the ambiance in both the garden and inside the restaurant. The service is consistently excellent. My favorite dish is the Pollo Mediterranean. All of the desserts are delicious. We have gone here for 10 years but never again. Waited half an hour to ask for wine, another half hour to take a dinner order and 45 minutes for it to appear on our table. The very nice waitress told us there was one cook/chef? On a Saturday night!!!! And once it appeared it was flavorless. Should have cooked at home. Don't go. You've been warned. read more

Had a reservation for Valentines day. Waited for half an hour and could not even find a person to tell them that we were there. There was a line of people waiting and no host or hostess to tell anyone anything. They did not have enough help. People stared to leave who were waiting on line. We never got a table and left. Well, this had been one of my favorite restaurants until recently. Our party of 6 waited an hour for our food...that's a very long time...particularly if you're not drinking. Our waitress was not to blame. She was lovely and attentive. Seems everyone arrives at promptly 5 pm and the kitchen staff can't handle it. If they took reservations for dinner, this problem might resolve itself. My chief suggestion is to get rid of the "weekly menu" under the glass tabletop and bring back the wonderful full menu. Also, there were no descriptions of many of the dishes on the new sheet. My Tour of Italy Dinner--two large cheese ravioli, a cup of tortellini, and a thin strip of chicken parm had little taste and was overly smothered in red sauce. My friend's Casa Bella with shrimp, while tasty, was also swimming in liquid. Another 30 minutes to get the check. A bit noisy but still a beautiful restaurant. It could still become my favorite if they'd make a few adjustments. Take reservations so the meals are staggered. And go back to the old menu. Not giving up on you, Casa Bella! read more

Four of us went to Casa Bella for dinner Sept 21, 2025. Waited two hours to get dinners!! Another table came in after us, finished their dessert before we got served. When asking the waitress many times when we would get our dinners her reply--"They are being plated now." more time elapsed. Finally went to Gerry, the owner. He went to the kitchen and came out with the same reply. Ordered veal marsala-not very many pieces of veal and they were tough. They should call this dish mushroom marsala. Our guest ordered the creme brulee. The ramekin came out and the creme brulee was less than 1/4 thick. Skimped on food served and at full price!! First time here we wanted to love this place As we eat out frequently and live nearby. Restaurant is cute, but meal is worth half the price! We moved from the ocean Hutchinson island and normally go to Nonas or santos for Italian.. but this place was cozy and close thought it would be our go to. Ordered meatballs to start as I always do. They weren't just cold but very cold! Hubby had clams for appetizer.. didn't look like much kinda small. Got two non descript rolls, not very hot.. garlic in foil on the side asked for butter. I drink a lot of water asked a few times for refill finally got it. I had eggplant rollanti I eat that regularly.. it was fine actually I prefer santos as well as twice the serving for less money! Hubby had veal he said it was fine. Salad was best part with good dressing and was nice and crispy cold! Dishes with paper towel from bathroom was left on the table till we were done.. no trash can in bathroom. I would have loved to love this place and walk to dinner but I guess I'll be looking to go back to nonas or keep searching.. I took my food home lady at next table took her phone call on speaker talking loudly not conducive to romantic dining! She even was showing the table who she was talking to her hubby seems notified at her bad manners! Bill with two glasses of house wine 100$ before tip.. for that I can go to oak and ember special 3 course meal and walk a little further! I asked hubby what stats he would give he said 3.5 for the price we may go back. It's not the money but just wasn't worth it nothing special! Service was good. 5 star Italian restaurant! A gem!!! A old house with lots of charm and elegance at the same time. Best Italian food we have ever had in a restaurant! The bread was insanely delicious and addicting- homemade of course! We got a side of meatballs as an appetizer. So delicious! Soft tasty and the red sauce was yummy!!! The entrees were chicken parm and veal parm.- both sooo good. The chicken parm melted in your month- so soft and tender! Same for the veal! The side salads were very large that came with the meal- and homemade dressings of course! so unique! We had no room for dessert but heard most of them were also homemade. Our waitress was Summer and she was fantastic- so friendly, personable and knowledgeable! She made the dining experience all the better! So efficient and responsive. So glad we finally tried this place and we wil not be going to any other Italian restaurant in Martin county anymore! This is the number one top notch Italian!!! Our first visit and it was nice. Food was good, not great and service was friendly. I had the Veal Clarice; four small medallions, topped with eggplant, capicola and melted provolone. A Marsala/mushroom sauce was it's compliment. Well prepared. My GF had the Eggplant Parmigiano and thought it was OK, but uninspired. Nice Italian wine list and it was all fairly priced. This place is beautiful, quaint, and just lovely. It's an intimate atmosphere that is perfect for date night. The food is amazing. There isn't anything on the menu that isn't delicious! They have a beautiful outdoor seating area. Views are not the best since it's just street side, but you honestly, never notice. The gorgeous outdoor decor and wonderful breeze is just a peaceful heaven! We have been here a few times and I recommend you go and spend a couple hours being pampered by the amazing staff. For those that have dined here they know what a wonderful experience they enjoyed. The setting is perfect for a first rate Italian restaurant. The owner and staff are friendly and knowledgeable of the buildings history as well as the menu. The food and presentation are terrific. What a fantastic evening. The lovely bride and I finally had a night just for us. Started with the eggplant stack for her, escargot for me. Both delicious. Salads were fresh, crisp and made to order (translation, no onion on hers, extra on mine). Entrees were excellent as well. Veal CasaBella for moi, scallop and shrimp for her. First, let me state that the food at this restaurant is excellent and the service is also good. My wife and I went there for dinner on New Year's Eve. We had a 6:00 PM reservation. When we got to the restaurant at 5:55 PM we were told the table assigned to us was still occupied. The server said they should be finishing up and we should be seated in about 10 minutes. One hour later we finally got seated. What irked me the most is there was other tables available, but we could not have one of those tables because they were assigned to someone else, so we had to wait for the table assigned to us to become available. The real issue here is the restaurant did not have anyone assigned to handle new guests with reservations coming in for dinner. They relied on the servers to handle this task. Hopefully, they will learn from this experience and this type of issue will not reoccur in the future. read more

Last night was the worst dining experience I have had in my life. As someone with some experience in the food service industry, I was appalled at the service we received at Casa Bella restaurant. We arrived 15 minutes early to our 7pm reservation which had been made on Wednesday. We were celebrating my daughter and her fiance who had just gotten engaged at Shepard's Park down the street. When we arrived early, we were prepared to have to wait for 7pm but instead were surprised to have our table ready and we were sat swiftly. Unfortunately, that was the only positive surprise of the night. It took our server 15 minutes to greet our table, 30 minutes for our drink order to be taken and then another 15 minutes for water which we had to request... It was only after we asked for bread (because we saw that the table next to us had gotten bread) and almost an hour after we sat down that bread reached our table. Our server was clearly overwhelmed but the table of 8 next to us did not seem to have any issues... Once we realized that the service would be slow, we made sure to order our entrees as soon as possible. I won't even address the lack of proper wine serving etiquette or the fact that our server was unable to open and properly pour the bottle of champagne we ordered in celebration. After almost 90 minutes, I walked away from the table and asked to speak to the manager. I was informed there was no manager on duty and that the owner was behind the line. I asked the server to please convey our situation to the owner and ask how he could remedy the situation. I was told they ran out of salads and that was the delay... how an establishment such as this runs out of salads at 8pm on a Saturday is beyond me... but we pushed through... The straw that broke the camel's back was at 9:15 pm when the entrees finally reached the table and the lasagna was cold. I once again walked away and insisted to speak to the owner immediately. While I was waiting for him, I was told by someone in my party that they had found a long hair in their veal parmigiana. The owner came out... didn't apologize but instead told me they were doing the best they could and that the salads had run out and it was the best he could do. I waited for him to pause talking and asked him about the hair in the veal parm and he said that there was no hair in his kitchen and told me it was probably my hair. He said he would recook the veal and I said we were not interested and that we were leaving. I was presented with a check for the whole meal with not as much as an apology. I told him I would pay for the bottle of champagne, two bottles of wine, appetizers and even the salads that were consumed but I would not pay for the entrees that came out cold and with hair after a 2 1/2 hour wait. He walked away and said that he would call the police... Once Martin County's finest showed up, needless to say the full check was paid with a promise to never return and make it known to ALL, the horrible service that we received. I would be remiss to not add that the table next to us, a party of 8, had their leftovers boxed up in containers and bags before our entrees reached our table. Nice little restaurant but I was disappointed in the food for the prices. With an entre, they state you can have a soup or salad. There are two soups to choose from, Minestrone and Pasta Fagioli. When I ordered the Past Fagioli, they waitress said there would be an "up charge" for that soup although it was printed in the menu with the dinner. At least I didn't see it, even though there's only the two soups to choose. When we got the bill, they charged $4.00 for the soup and frankly it wasn't that good or even hot. We are always looking for a great Italian restaurant but I guess the search is still on. Don't think we will be back there for a while. read more

Make sure that you check your receipt because they charge you more then the menu price states they over charge us $14.40. I should have realized it was going to be bad when we went in at 6:45 on a Friday night there was only 15 people in the restaurant and only 3 more couples come in. Worst experience of our life! Gerry the owner/manager is a joke, rude and obnoxious! He and his assistant made fools out of themselves in front of other patrons in the restaurant. The food was horrible and he could not handle the truth and charged us for food he told us he has to throw in the trash. Than accused of us being drunks because we had 3 glasses of wine that were 1/3 full and that cost $80! (We paid the whole check in full by the way. Than he told us to never come back. The couple next to us witnessed the ordeal and kept telling him to stop but he was out there! I felt sorry for the patrons that had to witness his erratic behavior and were not happy with it. Than he hightailed out of the restaurant slamming the front door with whoever chasing him! It is sorry and I hope nobody has to have a stupid night like this! read more

The setting was intimate and quaint. The service was extraordinary. Never needed to look for our waitress Connie, she was always there to refill our glasses and ask how we were doing. The food was exceptional. We had veal picatta with linguini and veal milinase with linguini along with a house salad and rolls. It was traditional Italian. Jerry, the owner visited the tables to check that everything was satisfactory. It was the best meal and service we have experienced in a long time. We will definitely go back. read more

Came here for my birthday tonight. We were seated and nobody came over for about 10 minutes. We got waters and also asked for diet Cokes. The diet Cokes were flat and tasted off. When we got the waitress's attention she said she had just opened them from cans. These must have been cans sitting forever without refrigeration. Oh, and refills are not included. We probably waited about 20 minutes before we called the waitress over and asked her for bread. She finally brought out a basket and gave us 2 rolls each. Normally you'd expect a basket for the table. This waitress has no business serving in restaurants. Possibly the worst service I've ever experienced. We ordered clams oreganata as an appetizer and they brought out a plate of 6 tiny clams that were mostly filled with breading. It looked like a joke. Thankfully the main courses were decent, but for the price it's an absolute ripoff. Needless to say we did not opt for dessert as we had had enough. 2nd time, and it was absolutely fantastic again. Branzino (fish) special for my girlfriend and I ordered the seafood pasta with lobster tail, mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp, just scrumptious. Meatball appetizer was also very good, they also serve the fresh bread with roasted garlic. So appetizer, 2 specials and 2 bottles of Chianti...$150 before tip....Waitress Summer was super personable even though the place was swamped. We bothered our waiter a million times for extra cheese, pepper, more wine, more bread - got a little loud & obnoxious, but he took it like a champ.
