Very disappointed. I ordered a lamb gyro with potatoes but specifically asked for the potatoes in a separate box. They were placed in the same box. My pita was drenched and soggy with juice from the potatoes. Completely disgusting. The quality and flavor were not even that good. Finally there is a Mr. Gyro in Stuart! Located in the plaza with Bonefish Grill and Rack Room Shoes on South US 1 and apparently they are expanding to Jupiter as well. Honestly, it is a really spectacular and casual place to hang out with family and friends. Choice of indoor and outdoor seating. I really have to say that the decorations and arrangement of this place is spot-on and really makes everything as a whole look professionally well planned, easy on the eyes, and neat! When you walk in, the menu billboards are on your left or if you have poor vision like myself, a menu brochure is available on the counter. Staff were friendly and helpful. The lady behind the counter is super sweet and has a bubbly personality. The kitchen helpers do not speak very well English but they do try their best to help out as best they can even when it isn't kitchen or food-related. The food is really authentic, homemade, and wonderfully delicious! My crew and I tried out some gyro dinners and sweet gourmets. I really enjoyed eating the beef and lamb more than the chicken because the beef and lamb were chewy and more flavorful. The chicken was flavorful but it was so dry, it stuck to my tongue and had a hard time passing it down my throat. Pitas were delicious and soft, salad was mediocre. Dipping sauces and feta cheese were fabulous! I can really depict this restaurant chain doing well if they continue to keep up their positive spirits and the location they are situated at receives a pretty good amount of traffic in and out. Stopped in Mr. Gyro craving a quick real good meal that was just your average or below average gyro at best. The place is really more of a takeout place with plastic utensils and throw away trays. While the yogurt sauce was pretty good, the gyro meat had little flavor, was not juicy, and had no zip. The lemon roasted potatoes were pretty good though, but I doubt I will be back. read more

First off the food was great. Had a gyro for lunch and I throughly enjoyed it, but as I was sitting there waiting on my lunch I looked around the restaurant and couldn't believe how dirty it was in the seating area. Tables weren't being wiped down, the area were you grab your utensils was gross. The top of the garbage container looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. The white tile walls in front were streaked with dirt and handprints. You get the idea. In this day and age everything needs to be kept clean and if you don't keep the front end up you are not keeping your customers interests at heart. read more

Your gyros is like ground beef and lamp and it called "doner" If you have ever visited Greece you must have seen that our gyros is made only from pork. You make "doner" gyros, which is an arabic style of gyros not greek. Also your employees dont even know what they serve.They re not answering questions about the food.I don't know If its why they dont know the way that the food cooked or If its because they don't speak English. Hands down, the best gyro I've ever had. I ordered the Mixed Gyro (chicken, beef and lamb) with a Greek salad and fries....DAMN. Meats were tinder and seasoned perfectly and the fries were cut thick and also soft/limp (my fave!) and the tzatziki sauce was cool and thick, not runny, which is the way I like it. The greek salad was very tasty because the veggies were fresh and crisp...I could've used more, pit-free kalamata olives but I'm not complaining. Just my preference. Its a decent size counter-service place with a large menu selection. Service was friendly and fast. Either the AC wasn't working or they had it turned-off; it was a warm-comfortable room temperature. Delicious food, large portions. We ordered the gyro plate and gyro bowl. Both were big, with lots of meat and veggies. Had to take some of it home to enjoy later. The baklava was yummy, not too sweet but had enough substance. I think it was only $4, which is hard to find elsewhere. The GPS might take you to the airport so look for US1 instead. read more

Since when is a Gyro sandwich a pile of meat and lettuce and onions we have a piece of pita bread cut into four pieces. I'm conflicted about Mr. Gyros and about how I should even rate it. So my husband and I had it some time in the winter. I've eaten at the PBG location before and really enjoyed it, so I assumed it would be good. Oh how wrong I was. What we ended up receiving were sub par, dry chicken gyros with not nearly enough sauce that were disappointing and definitely not something to write home about. Last Saturday, we decided that we would give it another shot, because my husband ate at the PBG one by his work and liked it, so was willing to give ours another try. This time the gyros were fantastic, with tender, moist and flavorful chicken with just the right amount of sauce after adding the provided extra sauce cup. To use my husband's description, they left us wanting more. So when I was out shopping at Wal-Mart tonight, I decided I would get us some gyros before heading home since we had yet to eat. The website and google both claimed the location closed at 10pm on Friday nights, so I called at 9:35pm as I was walking out of Wal-Mart and the phone just rang and rang. I thought to myself "Oh no, I hope they didn't close early tonight!" And then decided they must just be busy getting ready to close, because no way any professional business would close early on a Friday night! So I drove the extra five minutes away from the direction of home to get there, only to find that it was indeed pitch dark, with no signs of life whatsoever inside. It's already very disappointing to be denied something you were really wanting, but to learn that a business you were fully ready to spend your hard earned money on closed up early just to add an extra 30 minutes to their basically finished evening is all the more aggravating. Now I'm not sure I'll be going back at all, because I'm not sure if the twenty minute drive is worth it, knowing they don't even want to be there and don't value my business. As far as you going, I would definitely recommend the chicken gyro. The traditional lamb gyro is good, too, but the traditional chicken gyro was to die for. The one I got last week gets five stars all the way. Just make sure you don't go in any where near closing time, or they may have already closed up shop. read more

The food here is amazing but the service is rather upsetting. Came in and was very specific with my order. Multiple errors were made at the time of order. Though I made corrections each time it was read back to me it was still incorrect. Instead of being apologetic and wanting me happy, she was argumentative and really made me sorry I went in. When my food came up it was still incorrect. It wasn't a tough order, a small Greek salad and a pound of gyro meat with an extra pita. I ended up with small greek salad with gyro meat on top. Not enough to feed the 3 of us so I had to pay for the pound of gyro meat and she threw me a few dollars back for the meat that was on the salad. I would call this mass market Greek food. The food is way overseasoned, greasy, and poorly prepared. The emphasis is on quantity, not quality, and for those who know good Greek food, this is unacceptable. There is sooo much salt, pepper, and garlic that it might actually be dangerous for those who have to restrict their salt intake.
