    The Moussaka platter.

Found this place while up here from W. Palm Beach on business. Wow. Everything was delicious. Couldn't finish my meal. First time that's happened. What a find. Got lucky. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm here. Everything is fresh and homemade and the staff couldn't be nicer!

Mr. Gyros is located in the same shopping plaza as the Petco on Route 1. It is in the shopping plaza where SE Monterey intersects with Route 1. It is neither a big place nor is it anything fancy in termsof ambiance, however, their food made for a very enjoyable lunch. I went with a gyro, kind of a no brainer since the word "gyro" is in the business name, and I found it to be pretty solid. All in all, I would recommend Mr. Gyros.

A little divey, not very clean, but typical fast food joint. You order at the counter and there's no table service. They call your number, you pick it up and clean up your table. Prices are reasonable and the food wasn't bad. If you're looking for a nice dinner, this isn't the pace but I'd say it's good for a quick lunch.

Great food! Everything was delicious! Spanakopita was huge and tasty. Everything was cooked fresh and crispy.

The good. The gyro was stuffed with meat. My husband couldn't even finish it. The Greek salad had a feta brick on top, and was a pretty big size for $10. The bad. The chicken lemon soup tasted awful. I've had this soup many times and I've never had one taste like lemon water with chunks of chicken with a few large overcooked carrots. While the salad had the nice feta on top, the tomatoes were not ripe, and cut much too large. The dressing was bland. My husband gave his gyro a 4/5, only because it was packed with meat. I give the soup and salad a 2/5.

Just no! The food , except the lamb, was NOT what I've ever eaten and called Greek . I ordered their flaming cheese , lemon rice soup and gyro platter. When we got our food I didn't recognize the cheese?? And the soup was chicken with carrots. No rice. I returned the cheese and the cashier mumbled something and I didn't bother to try and get a refund. I went there hoping to get my mom a treat and it was horrible. My 90 year old mom was disappointed and so was I. So no , I won't go back nor would I recommend this place. Stuart has other Greek restaurants , go there, just not

I came with my boyfriend and we both got the lamb gyros. He got the rice and I got the salad. We also got the appetizer of the hummus and pita. The salad dressing is mostly vinegar tasting and the quality of the lettuce seems frozen. The rice is cooked perfectly, but has minimal flavor. The hummus was flavorless, like a fresh can of chickpeas. The gyro meat itself is flavorful as well as the Taziki sauce, but that is the only part of our meal that we were satisfied with. Service is order and self seating. Is quiet, with no music. Will not be back .

Very disappointed. My husband had a gyro and he said it was sub-par. I had the falafel sandwich which usually has cucumber and cucumber spread, I don't know what this spread was but it wasn't good and it had no flavor, I ended up just taking the falafels out and eating those. When we ordered she asked if we wanted fries with our dinner, it was presented like it was an offered side but it was an extra $2, which was ok but we should have been told there was an up charge for "a meal". All and all, we won't be going bac

Vacation is never complete without a visit to Mr. Gyros! Mom and I discovered this place years ago and never miss a visit during our annual vacation to Hutchison Island. The portions are absurd. So much food and flavor. I'm a big eater and barely put a dent in my Gyro before boxing it up. Great family owned snd operated business with popular Greek favorites. Happy to be back and would highly recommend

It's a small place, with just 9 tables and an assortment of bar chairs inside, but there is lots of seating outside. We ordered the falafel appetizer. I'm used to a different flavor of falafel and crisper. These were okay, but I don't think I'll order them again. It did come with a nice selection of veggies and plenty of delicious sauce. We also tried the spinach pie appetizer, and it was generous and delicious, big thumbs up. Both of us ordered the gyro sandwich. One of us got fries the other a salad. The fries were good, well-seasoned, maybe could have been cooked a little more for my personal preference. The salad was a nice surprise, tasted great. Both were large portions. We both enjoyed the gyros, and they were also extra large. One of us took half of it home. We ordered takeout for tomorrow, and we aren't exactly sure what we ordered because it looked a little different when we got home and took it out of the bag. However, we are not that familiar with the menu (which is extensive), so maybe we didn't order what we thought, which was a trio that includes 2 sides (beans and a salad), spinach pie, moussaka, and pastitsio. It looks like the moussaka was missing. Service was good, portions extra large. We plan to return and will make sure we check with the server about what exactly we thinking we're ordering when it comes to the takeout, if we do that again. ETA: The takeout we took home was definitely missing the moussaka. The rest of it (pastitsio, pie, and beans) did not taste that good at all. We might give them another try, but we aren't in a hurry to return.

Went inside and there were a few people waiting on their orders and a few seated to dine-in. The young woman at the counter was very nice, had a bright smile on her face and seemed to love her job. As I began to place my order, the Greek salad with shrimp, she commented, "I just had the shrimp for lunch today and it's really good!" Then I asked for an order of hummus to accompany my salad. She informed me that they were out of hummus and when she saw the sadness in my eyes, she happily recommended I try their tirokafteri. I'd never heard of it but I looked at the description on the menu board and thought, "what the heck...sounds good, I'll try it!" 20 minutes later and I was headed home with my dinner. I must say, the meal was fresh and tasty. The shrimp had a nice char on them and the greens and other veggies in the salad were fresh, except the tomatoes! They were a bit too ripe. The tirokafteri was nice and especially with that super fresh, warm, soft, yummy bread it came with. I want to call it pita, but I feel it was more like a naan bread. My only gripe (and I've seen this a lot lately at different restaurants) is they give you the tiniest amount of lettuce in your salad. Salad, I feel, should always be loaded with lettuce as it's cheap and not very filling. This salad was my dinner and lettuce is basically water. Yes there were other veggies like the tomatoes and olives, red onion, cucumber and they gave enough of those veggies but the lettuce is what makes it. Overall though...not a deal breaker and I'd definitely come back. I enjoyed everything I ordered.
