Now, I must admit that I have ridden past this restaurant many times on my e-bike rides but never thought about trying a Greek restaurant for breakfast. So, this week, I finally gave in and trudged off to give the place a try. The Ambiance: Cute European style restaurant that has a cozy yet chic setting. Bar seating, inside table seating and outside patio seating are all offered. I might mention that my outside table felt sticky. Not sure if this is the type of table or a table that needed to be cleaned. Either way it was an uncomfortable experience. Couldn't slide my dishes and my arm sleeve felt like it was sticking to the table. The Service: Although my server forgot the honey I requested for my tea and instead of inputting the WiFi password in my iPad, as requested, briskly told me the WiFi password (she thought), which it wasn't, the service, other than that, was efficient and provided with a smile. (NOTE: Another server was more than happy to input the password for me without a hesitation). I might also mention that my server served my unusual tea request (which so many servers get wrong) absolutely on the money without hesitation. This may not sound like a big deal but, for me, it most assuredly is. The Food: I ordered the Big Breakfast which consisted of two eggs (I chose over easy), two sausage links, two strips of bacon, I chose a biscuit as my bread offering and those "must have grits. Along with this dish I of course ordered my, always a challenge to get, English Breakfast tea with honey and "steamed" milk. Although as mentioned above, other than the honey, my server did bring my tea WITH steamed milk! Good start! Within a few minutes, my dish arrived. Everything was just as ordered. The over easy eggs were cooked exactly as ordered and the biscuits came WITH extra butter. Unfortunately, the sausage was your little "standard" link sausage, the bacon was on the crisp side and the biscuit was good but a bit gummy. Now on to the big question,, how was those grits. I have to say, all my friends were right. Those grits were by far, the best grits I've ever had. Creamy, but not runny, needing only a dash of salt, they were so good, I took two orders of grits to go. The Bottom Line: My "Customer so what" would I come back? Although the rest of the meal was simply OK, for the grits alone, you bet I'd return.

Ergo, when I saw Crazy Pita, which identifies as Greek, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern food, have surprise bags on To Good To Go, I had to get them and check them out. For "fast food" Greek/Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food, they are actually decent, more than decent actually, when you check all the bullet points for their food, their restaurant, and the service. If you go here for the first time, let it be known you are in the right place if you are wondering why you're at a Walmart Supercenter. Apparently, Walmart is upping their indoor dining options as this is the first time I ate at Crazy Pita. Crazy Pita is located at the eastern side main entrance, which usually the grocery/supermarket entrance for most Walmart Supercenters. The restaurant is a small nook with no-nonsense, 80s style decor and colors you'd see in fast food restaurants, especially an old school McDonald's. I arrived about 20 minutes before the pickup window for To Good To Go, so I ordered dinner, supporting them at their full given prices along with saving their food at a discount. Definitely "fast food" Greek/Mediterranean, which is not bad, but should be noted as most gyros are the common norm of such establishments. I got the Braised Lamb Pita ($8.99) and a fresh blended juice ($5.99), specifically melon, banana, mango, and coconut water. Food was good for "fast food" style. You can tell as the spices were lacking from traditional Greek/Mediterranean, but they do provide tzatziki sauce and hot oil in to-go cups. The two Too Good to Go orders were both rice bowls of grilled chicken, rice, feta salad, hummus, and pita bread. The rice and chicken were good and lightly seasoned. Hummus was kind of light in texture. The salad was okay but lacking, too. All hallmarks of "fast food" Greek/Mediterranean. Overall, I will say this is a good spot if, as I will stress again, "fast food" Greek Mediterranea food. The price is decent, the food is decent, and it is a far better option than most fast food joints. Given its locale in a Walmart, it also provides a unique option outside of their normal food service options like Domino's Pizza or Wetzel's Pretzels. I am giving Crazy Pita three out of five stars as they are a fast food chain that has other locales though not many. Their food is similar to other fast food Greek/Mediterranean food establishments, especially the food trucks, and the "fast food" options that traditional Greek/Mediterranean restaurants provide. You order at the counter. The person who took my order was very friendly. I ordered the chicken skewer and the steak skewers. The skewers come with yellow rice, a small Greek salad with a side of hummus and a small container of tzatziki and pita. The flavor was delicious. The salad looks small but it's packed in. I took it out and put it in the dish because it was too hard to eat from the container. The chicken was flavored perfectly. I definitely will be back. I ate the chicken for dinner but I have a picture of the steak that I will eat tomorrow. The rice got all over the hummus in transit. There's plenty of humus. I still have some leftover from the chicken.
