Trio platter with gyro, chicken, and pork
    Meena M.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant!!! Despite not many posted reviews, we visited this restaurant for dinner per a friend's recommendation and were so glad we did! Don't come to Spiros expecting authentic Greek dishes; however, come with an open mind to try amazing dishes with a unique twist. The spanakopita was honestly some of the best I've ever had.. and as someone who absolutely loves Mediterranean food, I've had several. There was a distinct slight fishy taste to the spanakopita; however, I personally very much enjoyed the flavor profile. The flakiness of the pastry combined with the deliciousness of the spinach and cheese was 10 / 10 for sure. We also ordered the trio platter as we wanted to try the gyro, chicken, and pork. The side of lemon roasted potatoes was delicious with a good crisp. The chicken was cooked and seasoned to perfection... absolutely delicious. The lamb was good as well, but I've had better. The pork was my least favorite (but my husband's favorite). In addition to a wide diverse selection of menu items, Spiros also offers very tasty cocktails! We are very excited to come back sometime perhaps next time for breakfast!

We went two days in a row during our weekend stay in town!…read moreAmbiance (5/5): Plenty of seating indoors and some outdoor as well. Classic diner set up and ability to onlook where the wait staff prepare the finishing touches to the dishes. Service (5/5): The service for this joint is very much which made my experience. The wait staff women were a delight-- sweet, friendly, and eager to help! They provided updates, refreshed our beverages, sincere when an error was made, and provided recommendations too. Food (5/5): There is so much on the menu to try! Huge portions for an affordable rate. Don't miss out on their freshly baked goods. We loved the cinnamon bun over the coffee cake but both were very good and served warm. The pulled pork benedict special was very tender and had loads of flavor. I enjoyed the corned beef but liked the benedict more. The second day, we enjoyed omelet and brioche bun French toast.

I decided it was time to try out the Jensen Beach downtown experience…read more The Ambiance: With a view of the ocean actually a side view from afar, the downtown area, although not as cute as Stuart's downtown, is pretty nice. The only issue is the traffic noise, which is considerable. The inside restaurant area is your typical breakfast restaurant with booths and tables. The outside dining area features several tables on the sidewalk with that side view of the ocean and a frontal view of all that previously mentioned traffic. For my dining experience I chose the outside. The Service: My server did a great job taking my order, making sure my drinks were replenished and actually getting my somewhat unusual hot tea with steamed milk and honey correct on the first try! The Food: Besides the traffic, here's where the restaurant falls on its sword. I ordered corned beef hash topped with poached eggs a side of "crispy" home fries and buttered sour dough toast. The Good: The highlight of the meal was the "homemade" corned beef hash. I'm always hesitant to order "homemade" corn beef hash because it's often full of items it really doesn't need. However, this corned beef hash was absolutely excellent and it was clear that it was really "homemade". The sour bread toast was also done properly and was amply buttered instead of what you get at so many places which provide a dash of butter, brushed on by a butter brush. Unfortunately, that's where the good ends. The Bad: My poached eggs were overdone featuring not a hint of runny yolks and those "crispy" home fries that I made a point of asking for, were about as far away from crisp as you could imagine. In fact they were probably the most mushy home fries I've ever had. The Price: I must say, the price was not bad but, I'd prefer to pay a bit more and get a better breakfast anytime!

Walked in to a handwritten card and anniversary confetti on the table -- small touches that set the tone. We started with oysters on the half shell: a dozen-plus fresh, plump oysters on ice, including the Dirty Romanoff (minced shallots, sour cream, caviar) and KG's Dirty Oyster (cucumber, ponzu, wasabi cream, caviar), plus cocktail sauce, mignonette, fresh horseradish, and lemon. One of the better oyster spreads I've had around here. The fried spiny lobster tail blew us away -- shatteringly crisp on the outside, sweet and tender inside, with a peppery ranch and clarified butter on the side. The lamb chops were cooked to a perfect medium-rare with balsamic, blistered tomatoes, and gremolata. Dessert was a decadent chocolate mousse cake with fresh berries and mint. Add in the waterfront views and genuinely attentive service by Brenda and you've got a special-occasion spot that's worth it. Already planning our next visit.

The view was…read moreabsolutely beautiful, and there was a wedding happening with stunning decorations, which added to the atmosphere. Our waitress was amazing attentive and friendly throughout the night. We were a group of five, and everyone ordered something different. We started with drinks, and they were all well-made and on point. For appetizers, I ordered the raw oysters, which were great for my taste, the relish and cocktail sauce had the perfect spicy kick. We also tried the buffalo chicken wings and calamari; they were good, but pretty standard compared to other places. For dinner, I ordered the 14 oz steak. I prefer mine rare, but it came out medium, so the waitress had to send it back. One of my friends ordered the watermelon salad it looked amazing, and she said it tasted just as good. The shrimp cocktail was also a highlight, with fresh, jumbo shrimp. The offered me 3 more oysters while I was waiting for the steak to be cooked right. Overall, the food was great, but be prepared to pay. In my opinion, the place is overpriced you're really paying for the view. One downside was the noise level. It was loud enough that we had to ask the waitress to repeat herself several times. While we enjoy good food, we also like being able to have a conversation during dinner. Because of that, we ended up finishing our meal and moving to the bar area, where we found seating on the back deck. The view there once again made the experience more enjoyable. I'd consider trying other places in the same category before coming back here.

I've eaten here before and enjoyed it so I'm not sure what went wrong yesterday…read more There were only a half dozen tables occupied. We ordered pancakes and a sandwich. We waited and waited and the waitress said "it will be right" out and then she disappeared. We asked the hostess to check on our food and she also disappeared. After overhearing another table complain that they were waiting over an hour and not hearing back from the waitress or the hostess, we told another waitress that we had been there an hour and were leaving. She gave us an understanding nod and we left. It was surreal.

Servers are efficient and pleasant - got us seated and with beverages in short order. Of note, the coffee cups were large - just perfect for someone who drinks a lot of coffee... and they were speedy with the refills as well. We had some questions on the daily specials and menu items and everything was explained cheerfully. Food portions came out and were on the large size- I'm fairly certain no one in my party actually finished their meal. Omelette was huge, hash browns and sausage were perfectly cooked. Kids had pancakes and bacon and no complaints, which says a lot. Overall a solid meal and it hit the spot. On the downside, the place needs a top to bottom scrubbing. Dust caked AC vents and baseboards and corners were gunked up. didn't hit the restroom so no comment there. Prices were average for breakfast these days. Large parking lot available.
