The food was good, very traditional Mediterranean, but on a hot day, it was less than refreshing dining in. I'm not sure if there's AC so it makes it hard to enjoy the food. That's not to say I won't be back though, I'll just get my food to go. The restaurant seems like it's all part of the Planet Ozone/Sonoco gas station because I think you can pay at either register. Okay listen, it is located within a gas station. But if you go in with an open mind and hungry belly, you will not disappointed. My sister got the chicken wrap and I got the vegetarian platter. It was our favorite meal of the whole weekend. The man who served us gave me extra warm pita bread free of charge and was so kind. We also got a tub of the garlic spread which was the best we've ever had. I loved the hummus and picked onions. I would not complain about anything that I ate. We came here to try a new restaurant we never had out. However, when we drove up, we realized it was inside a gas station so don't get fooled by this. When you walk in, the store becomes a large market inside the store of middle eastern stuff. Lebenah, garlic, olives, spices, teas, tahini etc. This place has it all. We ended up ordering food from the restaurant inside the store. My wife ended up getting a plate with chicken, lamb and kafta. She also got kibitz, hummus and pita, and my dad got a chicken soup. Also had falafel plate. The plate was good. Nothing overly spiced but good. Lamb was moist but needed more spices. The kefta was good. Kibitz was good. Not dry and and taste. The falafel plate was ok. Outside she'll was crunchy. But the inside was mush. Kinda a let down. Sauce was a tahini mix. A yogurt dip came with the kibitz. Hummus was good. Had a tahini taste to it but I like that. Garlic sauce we bought was sweet and almost tasted as if there was egg whites in it. Didn't say it on the ingredients but had that stickiness to it. Overall, solid food. Not great not the worst. The 4 score is about right. I will be back to shop. read more

We've been here a few times. Each visit has been on par with other reviews. My recent solo visit was just four stars. Not for quality of food. The falafel wrap ($6.99) featured crisp falafel exteriors with lettuce, cukes and pickled turnips with light tahini sauce in a pita flour wrap. Very good. A side salad was just okay and served with a dried herb oil and vinegar. My hang up is twofold: the inconsistent availability of menu items. Seems there are always selections that weren't prepared or they run out. So don't expect the craving you were having when you walked in, will be satisfied when you walk out. Second point was, this visit, the small dining area was not bussed. It seems I was there alone after the lunch crowd left. I had to clear an area to eat in. But on a happy ending, the two pieces of pistachio baklava ($4.69) from the cooler again did not disappoint. I'm better now. read more

It's only taken Super Cute Wife (SCW) and I 6 years to come here and wow, why did we take so long. I think for me it was simply some bias as it's in a gas station, but let me assure you this place is delicious. SCW got the Famous Falafel in a pita and I got the hummus and felafel in a pita. You also get a side which SCW chose a fresh tomato and tomato salad which I chose the carrot salad for my side. After ordering, pay, take a seat and they'll bring it to you when your order is ready. To the left of the cashier was fruit infused water and cups. The water was cold and very good. Our food was amazing. Everything was fresh and delicious. One thing I must note is the pita bread used for the wrap was incredibly thin yet strong and kept the flavor and the contents of the wrap inside easily. I enjoyed every bite of the wrap! The falafel was flavorful and moist without being wet. The flavors of the hummus came through and it wasn't salty like some can be. I had a few bites of SCW's Famous Falafel wrap and it was outstanding. Crisp, light flavors but hearty and filling. The service was great and the building (yes a gas station) is one of the only places in Martin County that is certified by their green building standards. This is made to order, quick service halal middle Eastern organic food in the middle of an organic convenience food store that is also a gas Sunoco gas station. It's in a green LEED certified building run by a sweet family. Everything is thoughtfully made including the crisp fries sprinkled with Aleppo pepper spice. You have in house pickled radish with thinly sliced pickles, shawarma that is spiced and cooked just right. Whether it's the hummus or yogurt sauce everything is bursting with flavor. They even have GF millet wraps. There's a smoothie menu but I'm in a happy routine alternating between the homemade falafel wrap and the chicken shawarma. I am a huge middle eastern fan, having grown up on Chicago's Pita Inn and Naperville's original Naf Naf grill. I am a hummus snob. Considering they import their own olive oil from the holy land, no surprise this is real deal territory. You can also grab some locally made desserts to go such as Kinafa. Tabuleh Cafe has quickly become Super Handsome Husband and my favorite places to pop in for lunch. The cafe part is in the end of the building, and has a lot of seating and is generally a quiet place to have lunch, which we prefer. We love that there are several vegan/vegetarian options to choose from, and the side salads are always very fresh looking and delicious. The soups are really yummy too, the lentil is awesome. A favorite main is the falafel wrap with hummus, pickled vegetables, tomato and lettuce in a whole wheat wrap that has an amazing texture. The portions are generous too. The baklava is incredible and not to be missed! My only criticism is I wish they were using bio-degradable take out containers. I could not find a recycle emblem on the box I used for leftovers, and for a place that is otherwise environmentally savvy, it is a shame. Being avid home cooks, SHH and I had a great time perusing the market and found a lot of fantastic stuff! Another cool aspect of Tabouleh Cafe is the building is totally green. 2nd time to this crazy fun Middle Easter/Turkish cafe grocery market in Sunoco gas station. I rate it a 3.5 star as my only disappointment was the lack of meat in my chicken shawarma wrapped in a pillowy soft pita bread with crunchy vegetables and tahini sauce. It had hardly any chicken in it a problem that could easily be fixed. My homemade hummus was 5 star, silky smooth with hint of garlic and lemon. I saw lots of prepared sides including lentil soups, chickpea and tabuleh salads, all of which looked really good. And the selection of middle eastern groceries is fantastic. I had a Lamb Shawarma and small side order of dolmas (stuffed grape leaves). The dolmas were very nice. The shawarma had a good amount of meat and fresh veggies inside. It was slightly salty for my taste, but I know I'm sensitive/picky about using too much salt; others may not notice a thing. For supper, we had food from Tabuleh Cafe. It was really a refreshing feeling to know that there are organic and gluten-free restaurants here in Stuart. I have not dined in at this location but we have ordered food to-go. For an organic food place, they have a good selection of food on their menu and the prices are affordable. We tried their salmon, chicken, and beef. The best was the chicken, second best salmon. The beef was not very well cooked, it was very dry and tasted like after it was taken off the pan, was left to sit in a cool temperature. It is disappointing for a beef lover who is allergic to fish and not a fan of chicken to have a poor eating experience with beef. Other than that, I really enjoyed their hummus. Their drinks are delicious too. Not so much a wheatgrass fan but the pear grapefruit with beet carrot was a definite favorite. I really am looking forward for more open locations and similar organic gluten-free restaurants around this area because it's such a great way to promote healthy eating habits and a positive lifestyle! Interesting middle eastern joint tucked inside a gas station/middle eastern market. The lady running the place is a one person show so the food will take some time. We liked the kafta, lentil soup, pilaf and fries (for some reason the fries are usually awesome at middle eastern joints). The hummus is pretty good but not as creamy as we are used to getting at the middle eastern joints in Michigan. Meat shawarma is my go to dish, unfortunately at this place i believe it is done as a stir fry and it lacked flavor. Overall solid food, we will be back. read more

This place is great. Food is different and healthy, Halal and Kosher, and just tastes great. I had tried falafel at another restaurant in Stuart and hated it, but got it at Ozone and it was amazing. I've tried the gyros, shawarma, and falafel, all were great. It's also a cool set up because it's in a gas station, but it's in the back with tables and clean. I love everything about this I always go to Middle Eastern grocery stores and restaurants so I love the fact that they are combined I just wish the description was accurate I was looking forward to eating the food from the café. On vacation in Hobe sound and used to buy eat shop local from being spoiled in Pittsburgh PA. Went on a bing search mission to find local. And this was our second hit the spot. It's a cafe inside a small Middle Eastern groceria and they sell cold prepared foods and hot prepared foods. We took a cold baklava cookie tray to go (lady ginger bird nests traditional baklava) and inside had two jarritos sodas and (i apologize for my spelling) baba ganough with hot pita. Cucumber salad with lamb shawarma pocket that had layers of flavor. And Greek platter with spanakopita and mousaka a tziki that had a refreshing mint flavor. And hot grape leaves. I'm not giving up because I've heard such great things about Tabuleh Cafe, but my first foray wasn't a great one. :( Maybe it's because I ordered take out, but that's not much of an excuse since you'd expect a restaurant to be consistent in quality whether it's take out or dine in. Pros: delicious hummus, rice pilaf Cons: kabob combo was skimpy (three small pieces of lamb, chicken, beef with a few veggies and a scoop of rice), very dry brown lentil rice Like I said, I'm going to chalk this up to a bad night/first order since I trust the personal reviews I've heard from friends.
