Biscuits and gravy half order
Taylor J.

Flamingo Diner is a great little spot tucked away unsuspectingly in a strip mall. There's a few tables outside on the sidewalk (these are up against parking spots so not exactly quiet or full of nature) and a decent sized dining room. Parking can be finicky and the parking lot is relatively small. I've enjoyed several breakfast trips here with my family members, and it's always pleasant. If you're looking for real southern diner food, this is one of the best options in town. It can be busy, and there is sometimes a short wait. They do turn tables pretty fast so don't stress too much! The staff are friendly and the food is comforting. I got a half order of biscuits and gravy and a side of grits. Plenty of food, the grits are creamy and the sausage gravy tastes like home. My sister ordered eggs over easy, which came perfectly cooked and unbroken. She also gets her hash browns with extra onions and raves these are the best caramelized onions in town. Flamingo Diner is a great little spot, good homey food, for a reasonable price. Don't sleep on this hidden gem in your breakfast rotation!

Couple eggs, sausage with home fries (had onions which I feel are necessary for true home fries)

Visited here today and was a very pleasant experience. The place is very clean and the staff are all friendly our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The food was good and I am sure I will try this place again so will wait until I have tried another item on the menu before commenting although my breakfast burrito was very good,

Visited this place again for breakfast and it didn't disappoint, the staff is so friendly and personable they really make you feel like family. I had a delicious eggs Benedict, traditional style with ham, that was very delicious and fresh. Eggs Benedict is one of my favorites. I also had a Mimosa, it was very tasty as well, can't beat a mimosa with your brunch. If you are in the area check this location out! They have indoor and outdoor seating available.

Cream of Turkey Soup

I enjoyed the flavors of the food! Starting with the Cream of Turkey Soup! Which really tastes like Chicken Potpie !!! Absolutely delicious! I tried one of the Specials of the day, the Chicken BLT and I loved how they toasted the wrap! My boyfriend got the Clam Strips meal which were also good however I'm guessing was the bottom of the bag and all so very small leaving not much clam. Hints the 4 stars. Service was phenomenal and everyone was very pleasant. Nice quiet place for a scrumptious meal!!!

Really good coffee!

Food and service were fantastic. You can't go wrong with any of the Flamingo signature options. I had one of their omelets.

Great spot for breakfast or lunch. Wait staff is attentive and friendly. They are busy on the weekends, but that is to be expected.

I only gave my husband one bite and the mussels were too die for! We came back 8 months later and the mussels are still on point the crab and corn fritters aren't fritters they aren't all bread. They're more like fried crab cake balls and the tartar sauce is superb! My husband this time got the scampi shrimp of course .he is not a pasta person. He absolutely loved it. My vodka parm was also very good. ( I never get anyone's because I make it every Christmas Eve for 40 people and mine to me is hard to beat) my husband is less bias and loves the parm. This place is a gem that needs more attention! Their drinks are spectacular also great wait staff and owner is super interactive!

The swordfish was tasty but had way too much miso on the plate, which made it hard to enjoy the rest of the dish. Portions on the other plates were huge. Fries were okay and a little soggy (which I don't mind), and my friend said the burger was above average. Food took a while to come out, but the ambiance was good -- nice music and a pleasant atmosphere.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They had our table ready quickly, and we didn't even need a reservation for our party of seven, which was a nice surprise. The menu had a wide variety of craft cocktails, along with delicious appetizers, and everyone at the table loved their meals. It was one of those brunches where everything just hits right--great food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere.

When is La Grande not so Grande?…read more Been wanting to visit this classic restaurant in historic downtown Stuart since my move to Stuart. Tucked in the old Post Office Arcade building, its partially hidden walkway leading to the restaurant only adds to what lies ahead. As you enter you step into a world that speaks to a time of classic old world elegance. Antiques, elegant draping window coverings and a beautiful fountain at its center, this restaurant brings to mind what a dining experience was like in the nineteenth century. Unfortunately, the service and food sadly do not match the exquisite ambience. SERVICE : The service, or should I say lack of service was evident from our first step in the door. We waited for several minutes before anyone noticed we were standing there waiting. Once noticed, we explained that we had a 7 pm reservation which the hostess of course could not find. She scanned the restaurant (which was empty at the time) and told us she would see if she could find us a table. After several minutes we finally were seated. Another 15 minutes past before someone walked past and asked if we had been taken care of, which of course we had not. He assured us that he would get someone as soon as possible, which added another 10 minutes to our already extended wait. Eventually our "server" showed up. You'll note that I put the word server in quotes because this person was anything but a server. So as not to bore you with specifics, let's just say I have a problem calling someone a "server" who is totally incapable of serving! A person who doesn't understand "medium rare", who misses several ordered sides and charges us for dishes we never received clearly doesn't deserve the term "server". THE FOOD: There were three people in our party. For appetisers, we ordered the Martier Escargot which had a bitter taste because of the burned butter, the Blueberry Brie Crostini, which turned out to be the best dish of the evening was outstanding, and the potato goat cheese puffs were light and delightful. For our entree's, we ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon which was overcooked, dry and tasteless, the New Zealand Lamb Chasseur which was fine except for the missing asparagus (which our server assured us he would get back out and immediately forgot) and finally the 12 oz Prime New York Strip which was cooked well done instead of the medium rare requested. I do need to mention that the garlic risotto was fantastic, creamy and tasty. Unfortunately, we had to enjoy it at home as our server didn't bring it until we were completely done with our meals! As far as desserts go, after our 1 1/2 hour stay, we decided to forego any additional pain and accordingly skipped dessert. Finding our server throughout the night was a challenge of hide and seek and this includes getting our final bill which, as mentioned above, took three trips to get right! The Ambiance: This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant that cries for matching service and a creative efficient kitchen that produces dishes that represent their grand names. THE BOTTOM LINE: As with all my reviews, we come to what I like to call the "customer so what". Would I come back? The answer... as a walk through to see what elegant dining looked like in the 19th century... absolutely! Perhaps you could sit at the bar and enjoy a Manhattan but, to dine? The offerings, as mentioned, were a mixed bag but unless you're into the pain of some of the worst service you'll ever experience, absolutely not!
