Chatting every where and waitresses calling customers by name and inquiring how they were. The menu is diverse so that everyone can choose what they want. I chose the guiro egg omelette with tomatoes. The tomatoes were cut beautifully and skimpy. They were red and juicy. The omelette was a nice size but a bit dry. Tzatziki would have been nice. Stopped in for lunch this week. Not a bad place! Friendly staff and fast meals. The menu has so many choices it was hard to choose! I went with breakfast and got eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy. The bacon was perfect and the rest was just ok. Personally wasn't a fan of the scrambled eggs or the gravy but that's ok. Everyone else's food in my group looked pretty good. read more

Our server was terrible. She dropped off our food never came back to check on us to see if we were ok then just dropped the check off and didn't say anything. I would never come back here!! Flamingo Diner is a great little spot tucked away unsuspectingly in a strip mall. There's a few tables outside on the sidewalk (these are up against parking spots so not exactly quiet or full of nature) and a decent sized dining room. Parking can be finicky and the parking lot is relatively small. I've enjoyed several breakfast trips here with my family members, and it's always pleasant. If you're looking for real southern diner food, this is one of the best options in town. It can be busy, and there is sometimes a short wait. They do turn tables pretty fast so don't stress too much! The staff are friendly and the food is comforting. I got a half order of biscuits and gravy and a side of grits. Plenty of food, the grits are creamy and the sausage gravy tastes like home. My sister ordered eggs over easy, which came perfectly cooked and unbroken. She also gets her hash browns with extra onions and raves these are the best caramelized onions in town. It's New Year's Day and a lot of places are closed between 7-9 o'clock in the morning. What to do when NYD falls on a Sunday? Well, I accidentally was led to Flamingo Diner. It may have helped that it was NYD as I had no wait and even had the chance to sit outside. My waitress was excellent, although I wish she had given me her name. My coffee was always filled and from sitting to getting served, I do not think my wait for food was more than 20 min. My coffee was served within 5 min of the waitress getting my order. Cashier was pleasant and had a smiling face. Prices were high, but it seems as if inflation has hit everywhere & getting a home cooked breakfast with meat is hard to get under $10 anymore. I enjoyed the flavors of the food! Starting with the Cream of Turkey Soup! Which really tastes like Chicken Potpie !!! Absolutely delicious! I tried one of the Specials of the day, the Chicken BLT and I loved how they toasted the wrap! My boyfriend got the Clam Strips meal which were also good however I'm guessing was the bottom of the bag and all so very small leaving not much clam. Hints the 4 stars. Nice place to have breakfast. Very quaint inside. I ordered the eggs Benedict. They were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise was very flavorful. Came with choice of potatoes. I choose home fries which were nice and crispy. This was my first visit, but I will definitely be back. My server was very nice and the kitchen had my food out very quickly. I had an absolutely perfect two egg breakfast my hash browns were crispy just like I asked. my husband had three eggs and corned beef hash and it was delicious we are very very impressed with the place the food arrived streamly quickly and hot. Just finished up a delicious western omelette with grits. The food was great , service was quick and the server was great. I'm only giving 4 stars because of the burned toast. Ok, I understand that can happen, but when I sent the toast back, they brought me out more burned toast. I picked off a couple of pieces to eat that weren't as bad. Could have been the same toast, and they weren't that busy, so I question their concern for their customers. I've passed this place a few times and the parking lot was always packed so I figured let's give it a try. I ordered the Gyro and it was okay. Most places I've been to that have a gyro they put the meat on the pita and then add the other toppings. This place added a lot of lettuce and not a lot of meat and they added the lettuce first not last. My husband ordered the meatloaf and he said it was awful. I think this place must be know for its breakfast because what we ordered off the rest of the menu wasn't amazing. Next time, I'll try the breakfast food. read more

I love this diner. Fair prices, huge portions and great unique flavors. My go to order is the eggs Benny with sausage patty instead of ham with homefries (extra onions). Worth the drive. Small place where it's so intimate that hear the other diners conversations but far enough for some elbow room to chow down. This was well worth the short wait time as it is sometimes 20-30 minute wait. This restaurant has been around since the eighties and is still delighting customer's taste buds to this day. Located on the corner end of a strip mall and it appears that this place stays packed. This place certainly has an ambiance of a casual Diner and it's like family in here as well. Great spot for breakfast or lunch. Wait staff is attentive and friendly. They are busy on the weekends, but that is to be expected.

For me 4 and five stars are for places that are exceptional. The breakfast was OK but not really good or great at all. The home fries were well prepared but very bland. The country omlette was well prepared but made with cheap cheese and instant gravy. And the owner is so cheap that a double pot of coffee would still be considered coffee water in my house. Two stats for a great waitress and well prepared food. Otherwise wasn't worth the money. read more
