    Duo Platter

Came here starving and left happy and satisfied ! I'm honestly not a huge fan of gyro meat but I was pleasantly surprised Food: the Duo Platter was 5/5! Huge portion size (in my opinion), the meat was super tender and flavorful, the roasted potatoes were crispy and yummy Would definitely come back! The salad could have been better but I still really enjoyed it. Service: 5/5 friendly and attentive Ambiance: great vibes !

Came here hungry left satisfied. The restaurant wasn't too busy when I came. Got seated right away and my waitress took down my order. The place is clean and the music isn't too loud, the music was also very soothing. I order an appetizer of hummus and it was great! Then I got my chicken gyro, which was good too. Originally I wanted to get the falafel gyro but was sadly told that they were out. No biggie. The chicken gyro came out huge and it was very tasty. I decided to get a greek salad as my side and I am very glad I did as it was inexpensive of the best salads I have had at a Greek restaurant. I also got a baklava as a dessert and it was delicious and sweet I definitely want to come back to try the falafel gyro but it's gonna have to wait.

This review is solely based on the service. My wife and I came in on 2/17/2025 to place a to go order. I advised the person taking the order, I believe his name was Brent as the name appeared on my receipt. I advised him there would be 2 separate orders as I was using 2 birthday rewards of $5 each. My wife ordered the famous gyro with no onions. He rang up the item and I told him again I had the $5 reward, so it took him a minute or two to re-ring the item. I placed my order, the same item and told him I'll take my wife's onions on my gyro so make it extra for mine. I also ordered the dolmades. When I got my receipt, I noticed I was charged extra for the onions??? Well, my wife didn't get a discount for no onions, so I told him I wanted her onions on the side! We waited about 15 or so minutes for the food and left the store. I inspected the order when we got to the car and noticed I did not get my salad which was included with what we ordered. My wife got hers. I went back a got the salad. Needless to say I would have been VERY unhappy had I gotten home to find the salad missing!! When we got home, I noticed I only got 5 dolmades in my order. When I looked on the website for ordering prior to going to the restaurant, the picture shows 6 dolmades. I called the store, I believe Brent answered, and I asked him how many come with the item? He said "I think 4 or 5". I told him the picture shows 6....no response from him other than "Is there anything else I can help you with". I told him no. You would think that an employee there would know what and how many an item comes with! The order was $8.95 which I thought was EXTREMELY over priced to get only 5!! Not once did he ever welcome us when we came to the counter and just seemed to have no interaction with customers, just my opinion.

A wonderful meal is found here

The most amazing food from Tae and Michelle made our meal very special. The gyros and calamari are to die for. The house made eclair cake was the perfect finish to a very delicious and high quality evening dinner at such an affordable price. Ask for Michelle to serve you . She knows all!!

Visited today. New to the area. Looking for a good spot to grab a bite to eat. Came across Spiro's. Excellent service by Erica. Delicious authentic Greek food. And sinful desserts to boot. Great little spot! Be sure to give Spiro's a visit. You will be glad you did.

I live a good gyro, and having one is a treat. After so many years in Vero, I thought, let me try this place...Disgusting food! The meat was cold, dry, hard as if it were the scraps left from the night before. The lemon potatoes had so much salt to mask the seemingly burnt potato...I may as well have opened a salt shaker and taken a spoonful. They were that bad. Finally, the "Gyro Sandwich"! First, let's call it by its correct name; it's just Gyro, not gyro "sandwich." Cold pita lettuce, tomato, and onion again, a NO GO, and a heaping amount of tzatziki with burnt, dry, hard meat!! It was all tzatziki and a small portion of meat! By no means is this exaggerated, I eat out a lot, and I believe for what we pay, we should get quality, tasteful fresh food! Leftovers from the night before masked as fresh...shame on anyone who pulls this stunt. This meal was $39 Spiro's Taverna gets and no second chance!

After a long day of preparation for Easter for 3 daughters we needed a moment for us, before the next days celebration. We had the back room to ourselves and it was just perfect. I just had to say, my husband loves to cook for me, especially short ribs and a beautiful brown sauce and he is amazing at it. Well, this blew him and I both away. Also, the skewers were something out of this world. There is an article about them in Vero Mag. This place is a secret we want to keep to ourselves but a place with this much talent is meant to be celebrated. Ohhh and the Short Rib Rangoons! Thank you curfew for giving to very busy parents a couple hours to just connect and enjoy a wonderful place. We cannot wait to come back again. We left because the bartender, Dillon I believe, was uninterested, a bit rude and completely lackadaisical in my informed opinion. In this case we had one and moved on across the street! You can trust me, I was in the business! ;D

I knew the food was going to be good because they were jam packed on a Tuesday! They have a large variety of specialty cocktails and a full bar. I enjoyed a specialty drink and then switched to prosecco. My server, Sarah, was outstanding and provided top notch service. They start you off with a yummy sweet cornbread service. I ate too much of the bread! For my meal, I started with the steak tartare and it was excellent, high quality beef. I then moved onto the chargrilled oysters which were a 1000/10! Amazing flavor... the blend of the butter and 3 cheeses was perfect! I then had the best pork chop I've ever eaten in my life. They brine it for 24 hours in a sweet tea mixture... I was thinking that would taste weird or sweet but it was neither. The chop was simply the most divine, juicy and flavorful pork chop I have ever consumed. Words can't express the deliciousness! It was 10000000/10. The chop was paired with the best grits I've ever had. I take grits seriously as a southern woman and those were magnificent. Restaurant was very clean. This historical restaurant is located right on the water - any closer and you'd be swimming. It's an old building full of history and fun stories on the menu of how it came to be. It's a special place and it's memorable. We've been several times for lunch and dinner throughout the years. This place has a beachy gift shop, a main waiting room with the hostess stand, an oceanfront indoor bar and lounge area, and the main dining room. For lunch, it's more laid back. The menu is sandwich-heavy but includes some non-sandwich items like fried shrimp plate, nova scotia scallops, and a special entree each day. It's a lot less busy for the most part during lunch in comparison to dinner. Dinner is a big to-do here. They open at 4pm for bar seating and to add your name to the dinner waitlist. If you want a table, especially one closer to the best view, you've gotta get there around 3:50-4 to get in line. They don't do reservations unless you're a larger party. You can then either leave and come back close to 5, or enjoy drinks at their bar if you're lucky enough to score seating. At dinner, the menu is definitely more extensive- featuring steaks, chops, and different fish/seafood specials. We love their prime rib, and the creamed spinach is perfect and old school. At lunch and dinner, don't miss out on their dessert tray presentation. The dessert tray has a lot of options - and it's a fun experience. Their bartenders are always nice and professional, and most importantly make a delicious cocktail. Cosmos, pear martinis, dirty martinis, all delicious each time we visit. Servers are also nice and professional too which lends to the charm of this old place! We had one bad scenario out of all of the times we visited regarding service from an assistant manager - but every other visit has been great! I love that they have GF options, like french onion soup made without the bread! On your way out, stop by the gift shop for even more goodies - their homemade blue cheese dip is not to miss! It's complementary at dinner, but honestly we like to buy extra for the house. They also sell dessert slices, and alcoholic beverages like rum runners, pain killers, margaritas, etc in two different sizes. Great to take to enjoy and walk down the beach!
