It was surprisingly slow on this night, perhaps maybe the location. This place does not serve alcohol, but they welcome BYOB. So of course, we had to go grab some since the wait for the pizza was going to take over 30 minutes. The pizza and wings that we ordered was good. The buffalo wings taste like any other buffalo wing you can get anywhere. The pizza however was bomb. So thick, so cheesy, and so delicious. Giordano's! Amazing Chicago-style deep dish pizza! Got the 6' individual deep dish pizza with pesto chicken, artichoke, and spinach. This was bomb! It wasn't too cheesy and heavy. The crust to pizza ratio is perfect. The thicker crust really helps out, especially since it's baked to a perfect crunch. Sharing this individual pizza with one other person was definitely a good choice because after two slices, I was pretty satisfied. TBH, I was hesitant about getting this after my first, no-so-good experience with deep dish pizza at another popular deep dish pizza joint. **cough Lou Malnati's cough cough** But Giordano's has redeemed deep dish pizza for me. Unfortunately since I live in Louisiana, I'm constantly disappointed in pizza since this Chicago deep dish changed the pizza game for me. I ordered the small pepperoni deep dish and holy moly....it was everything I wanted and more. A small is enough for two people. They start with a deep dish crust, followed by a ton of mozzarella cheese, then your toppings and the sauce goes on top. Baked for about 30-45 minutes and what you get is perfection. The crust is golden and flakey. The cheese is gooey, toppings are flavorful, and sauce is the perfect touch on top. Every bite tastes is so delicious. Tonight after a tough week at work I decided to order a pizza and a salad. $72 for a pizza and a salad! along with my salad I requested extra dressing because one packet is typically not enough for the size of the salad. I never write Yelp reviews but felt the experience I had this past weekend was worth the time to do so. I had ordered from this location several weeks back and received the wrong salad with my delivery. I called to let them know and they were quick to rectify the situation. I opted for a credit to my account with them for the next time I ordered. I placed an order this past weekend and I could tell the guy on the phone was new. I explained to him I had a credit for a salad and I wished to use it with this order. I was patient with him because he was determined to get the order right and make sure I was happy. He even mentioned if I wanted him to get his manager to make sure the order was correct with the credit before placing it. I opted to trust him because he was really trying to make it right. He took my credit card and I was charged for my order. When my delivery came, the order was right but I was charged the full amount. So I called the Logan Square location to get the credit for the salad. Alicia who is an associate, answered the phone and I explained what happened. She was quick and accommodating right off the bat. Marissa, who was the manager that night, got on the phone and explained they were unable to give me a credit on my card because I used a debit card-but I could come in for the cash refund. She was so apologetic and kind. I asked if I could just have another credit in my account for the next time I ordered. She went above and beyond making it the reason I will continue to order from them. I told her I could tell the guy was new and in training-which is why I was so patient with him. She thanked me for being understanding and told me she was trying to build the new guy's confidence because he was learning. Now that is a fantastic manager! The teamwork there is clear and undeniable. Guys, if you call in to order, be patient and kind. You never know what kind of a day someone is having. Pay it forward!! Giordano's was my first stop in Chicago. Who cares about the Willis Tower or the Chicago Institute of Art? I wanted pizza! A friend recommended I go to Giordano's and Giordano's only. I was skeptical about making it my one and only pizza stop since they have multiple locations throughout the city--I like small mom and pop places in these instances...blah, blah, blah. However, I was short on time and there was a Giordano's in walking distance from my hotel, so I obliged. To think I planned on only having 1 slice! Whom was I kidding? I always thought Chicago deep dish wasn't for me...I'm a thin crust kind of gal, but boy was I wrong. It was so deliciously delicious. My group and I ordered one cheese and one veggie and cheese. I recommend ordering as we did--one solely cheese so you can first taste what it's like in it's original style and one with toppings (or should I say stuffings?). The pizza takes about 25-30 min to make, but I suggest you refrain from ordering any appetizers so you can fully enjoy stuffing your face with pizza. The cheese was ooey gooey and the sauce didn't have that overpowering flavor I dislike in some pizza sauces. One thing I'd like to point out is that the sauce is slightly sweet, but it works! The Giordano's on Rush street was spacious and service was friendly and efficient. If you're planning on making a visit I highly suggest getting there early around 12 noon to avoid having to wait a long time to be seated. Have tried other Chicago style deep dish pizzas but this location has the best pizza. The thin crust is also very good. The ratio of sauce to cheese is spot on. The crust is baked to perfection. They have a lunch special weekdays for around $10. It's so worth it with the quality of food. I usually get the small thin cheese and a very fresh salad with it. I love Giordano's as a whole. This particular location isn't a standard dine-in Giordano's. It's more of a take-out and delivery joint, but it has a handful of tables and the decor is as good as you can expect from a take-out place in a strip mall. I like that I can get a big slice of thin crust if I'm solo, so I don't have to buy a whole pizza. It'd be even more awesome if you could get the deep dish by the slice! read more

I've had my name spelled in odd ways, both first and last name, despite it being something you'd think would be easy to spell. I looked at my Giordano's (to-go) receipt and was amused that they spelled my first name "Kerrin". Misspelling aside, we got a super vegi and a special stuffed pizza. When we got them home and looked at the boxes, there were no labels on either of them to let us know which was which, and they both looked the same on inspection. So..... which one was which? It was all down to 50-50 chance. Unfortunately, luck was not on our side, for the people that wanted meaty pizza were served the veggi, and vice versa, and there was so little meat in the meaty pizza that we didn't realize the difference until we were halfway through our first slice. Ok we all know I love pizza. I could eat it every day. I was so excited to finally get deep dish pizza. It has been a couple of years and I don't discriminate. I love all kinds it just depends on my mood. This is not the Giordano's that I remembered. I would call this location the tiny, cave Giordano's. It was so tiny. There were only a few tables there. It seemed that they do a lot of delivery and pick up. This should have been the first sign of disaster... For starters we ordered a Caesar salad and again it wasn't like I remembered. This whole experience was disappointing. What was more frustrating is that I finally got my boyfriend to agree to check out Chicago deep dish pizza. So next was pizza time. Like I said it had been a couple of years so the taste I couldn't exactly remember. It was hard for it to come back because it seemed that either #1 they barely finished cooking our pizza and it seemed cold or as my boyfriend said room temperature or #2 they took our pizza out and it sat out for a long, long time. Let's be real, this is deep dish pizza if you left it out it was left out for awhile. Our service was the bare minimum. We got our drinks and our food and that was about it. Very minimal communication. This trip was an epic fail. I'm so sad. I don't think I'm coming back to this location. We picked up the pizza and when we got it home saw that there were artichokes on the whole pizza not just half. I called them and they immediately offered to replace it. Since it was to far for us to go, they offered us full credit for future use. He then called back to tell me I had filled in the prompts wrong and had indeed ordered artichokes on the whole pizza.
