I hadn't been to Giordano's in years and was surprised to see there's one in the area. Overall, the food was just okay. Not bad, but nothing that really stood out. The setup here is more fast casual, so you order and pay before sitting down. I've never loved the idea of being prompted to tip before any service has happened, though the staff themselves were perfectly fine. We ordered the sampler, which was decent overall, but the cheese sticks had a slightly odd taste. The biggest letdown was the skillet cookie. It wasn't actually served in a skillet and wasn't warm. It was basically a large cold cookie with ice cream on top, which was disappointing if you're expecting the typical warm skillet-style dessert. Nothing about the experience was terrible, but nothing really impressed me either. I probably wouldn't return unless I was with a larger group looking for something quick and convenient. read more

Went to this location and was surprised it was counter service since the one I have in Indy is sit down with a much different atmosphere...wasn't horrible of an experience, the food was good and hot and the workers brought it out quickly. They were also accommodating. One girl who worked there was much friendlier than the other girl. Not to say the other girl wasn't friendly, buuuuut I'm a stickler for service from people actually looking like they want you in their establishment lol. It's maybe such a big ask but idk. When in Chicago, you gotta get a deep dish! Giordano's is definitely a Chicago staple. My sisters and I got the 10' chicken sausage deluxe topped with mushrooms and spinach. It was so yummy. I would also like to comment on how amazing the cheese pull was after the first bite. In addition to that, we also got calamari. The pizza does take 40 mins to make, but that's because they make it fresh to order, so we highly recommend getting an appetizer. The service was great, and they were also very attentive. The vibes were also great, it's a good place to watch some sports since they have multiple TV's. Ordered some pizza and salad here while on our quick trip to Chicago. It wasn't busy, so we were able to get sat right away. The way this place works is you order at the counter and then find a seat. As with most deep dishes, the pizza took about 30 minutes to come out. The pizza hit the spot, especially from someone who comes from LA where deep dish is not as easy to find. My family and I tried this place out during our road trip from Washington DC to Chicago. We wanted to try deep dish pizza so I did some digging online. From all that I read, this was the place to check out ... and that did NOT disappoint. The pizza was awesome! My eldest said it was the best pizza he has had. My daughter, who is super picky about food and rarely approves of anything new, loved it. And after the road trip (which spanned 4 states) I asked all our three kiddos which food they liked the most, and all three said Giordano's. Everytime the family visits Chicago, getting an authentic deep dish pizza is an absolute must. The two best places are UNO and Giordano's, but Giordano's never disappoints! This was the first time our boys had been to Chicago and had this, but it was just as good as I remember from several years ago. When you arrive, you will place your order and then seat yourself. We called ahead to get the food started. Plan to sit and chat for a while or do the same because it takes a long time for the pizza to cook (think 40-60 minutes). While we waited, we tried the appetizer tray and it had a good assortment of items that appealed to different people in our party. However the pizza was the star of the show, as it should be! Hot, meaty, saucy, and delicious just like deep dish should be. Don't get too optimistic and overorder. The medium pizza can easily feed four and give leftovers....you get full fast. Whenever I come to Chicago, I stop for deep dish and Giordiano's is a definitely winner! read more

Their pizza is ok, not like it used to be. The service was ok too. We got it to go, got home, and they're closed now, or will be before we could get back and the fries we ordered were supposed to garlic parm, not only are they plain, there's very few fries for $5 in the pack and the must have been made 35-40 mins ago when the order went in! So much for a name like Giordano's meaning anything to us anymore. They are certainly resting on their old reputation. read more

I've been ordering delivery from Giordano's Logan Square since we moved into our home in 1996. They are 3.6 miles door-to-door. NEVER had an issue. Until tonight. New "Manager" claims I am outside their delivery range. When I tell her I should be in their system, since my name & number comes up on their computer, she then claimed the store changed its computer system on the 11th, (9 days ago). and they don't have anyone stored, anymore. Using Google maps, I'm 3.6 miles away. Apparently, TONIGHT, they want to enforce their Delivery Radius of 3.09 miles. She was cordial, but that doesn't resolve that THEY are the CLOSEST location to me and I am hungry. I won't eat Rosati's or John's or Piece or Root's... Not only can you expect a 3% Covid surcharge applied to your order ( for pick up , dine in , or delivery!) you can also it seems, expect them to skimp on the ingredients too. I can get a similar pizza from anywhere in the city for around $18-$20. It was just a cheese pizza. For $24. Seems absurd. I think Girodanos needs to adjust their prices or up their quality if they want to stay in business. The customer service is awful. This was good!! I love a good deep dish pizza. It's a tough call between loumalnatis and giordanos. Both are sooo cheesy and have such amazing crust!! I think I like the filling better at LouMalnatis and the taste of the crust better at Giordanos. Salads were delicious (not pictured but we got the house. Then we got the sampler app--basic bar food. Service was good but slow--took over an hour and there was only two other tables. Edit: the manager did reach out regarding the long wait times which is greatly appreciated--sometimes things happen, that's ok. Had the family with me on this visit and had to get them to Giordano's for Chicago deep dish pizza. The location isn't much to talk about. It's in a strip mall with little parking and not a lot else to see, but the restaurant is clearly remodeled and kept clean. We were waited on at the counter quickly, with that Chicago attitude that can make you feel unwanted at first, then you realize they're just treating you like family! Now, it's deep dish, so make sure you leave time for it too cook! 45 minutes to be exact. But, when it comes out, it's hot, tasty with cheese stretching to the ceiling. All your toppings are under the cheese and sauce and it's best to use a knife and fork for your first few bites, just to get it all in a bite...and not burn your face off. Once you dig in, it's just a great combo of flavors. Staff comes around to make sure you're doing well and take care of you. We also had a house salad, which was fresh and well put together, along with a great dressing. I'm a NYC pizza guy all the way and this didn't convert me, but it was good food and worth a try.
