When in Chicago, you gotta get a deep dish! Giordano's is definitely a Chicago staple. My sisters and I got the 10' chicken sausage deluxe topped with mushrooms and spinach. It was so yummy. I would also like to comment on how amazing the cheese pull was after the first bite. In addition to that, we also got calamari. The pizza does take 40 mins to make, but that's because they make it fresh to order, so we highly recommend getting an appetizer. The service was great, and they were also very attentive. The vibes were also great, it's a good place to watch some sports since they have multiple TV's. If you want to bring a pie back home, they have frozen pizzas you can order so you can take home a pie of Chicago with you!

Ordered some pizza and salad here while on our quick trip to Chicago. It wasn't busy, so we were able to get sat right away. The way this place works is you order at the counter and then find a seat. As with most deep dishes, the pizza took about 30 minutes to come out. The pizza hit the spot, especially from someone who comes from LA where deep dish is not as easy to find. They have a lot of takeout pizzas that are frozen too for you to enjoy at home if you prefer.

I ordered an extra crispy crust tavern pizza with sausage and peppers. What I got was a BURNT pizza with barely any sauce. I've had better grocery bought frozen pizza. So disappointing. Love their deep dish.

Everytime the family visits Chicago, getting an authentic deep dish pizza is an absolute must. The two best places are UNO and Giordano's, but Giordano's never disappoints! This was the first time our boys had been to Chicago and had this, but it was just as good as I remember from several years ago. When you arrive, you will place your order and then seat yourself. We called ahead to get the food started. Plan to sit and chat for a while or do the same because it takes a long time for the pizza to cook (think 40-60 minutes). While we waited, we tried the appetizer tray and it had a good assortment of items that appealed to different people in our party. However the pizza was the star of the show, as it should be! Hot, meaty, saucy, and delicious just like deep dish should be. Don't get too optimistic and overorder. The medium pizza can easily feed four and give leftovers....you get full fast. Whenever I come to Chicago, I stop for deep dish and Giordiano's is a definitely winner!

Went to giordanos for dinner with my family and I haven't been to this locations in years. It's been remodeled and has more seating available. All orders are placed at the counter and brought out to you. We got a deep dish pizza and calamari. Everything was good. I will definitely be coming back.

Favorite deepdish in the city! Excellent sauce, cheese, crust and toppings. Tried tavern style too. Very good, but nowhere near the deepdish.

Came all the way from Florida to try the famous Chicago deep dish pizza and it didn't disappoint! The attention and service was amazing, made us feel so welcomed and even did the cutting and melted cheese demonstration for us. Great spacious place great to come with the whole family and have a great meal together!

Nothing quite like deep dish pizza from a well known Chicago spot. While on my way out from a weekend visiting the Windy City and we'd have been loathe to miss a chance to have lunch! We stopped by this newer location - and they were very nice to let us know that this was a newer location with a newer staff and we were fine being patient! We got The Special pizza with a the house salad and really, really enjoyed our time. The staff was also nice enough of us to let us know that deep dish takes about 45 to cook - which was WORTH THE WAIT! Love deep dish style pizza and this pie was no exception. The crust was buttery was delicious, the sauce was fantastic, the cheese was perfect and loved how chock full the pizza was with toppings. Absolutely stunning. I made my way through 2 slices and then had to tap out - delicious. Big fan and definitely recommend!

    Calamari with hair on it

Use to love this location, I'd order pizza and a lot of sides and appetizers, but after seeing this hair in the calamari appetizer this will be my last time having this pizza from this location and this brand. The hair has pieces of the breading on it and we decided to throw everything away because this is disgusting.

It was not an "Amuse bouche" which is a single bite item, it was much more but I'm not complaining about that! The appetizer was grilled octopus over sweet potato mash. I learned that day that sweet and grilled octopus is not a good mix. It was nearly gross. I picked the octopus up and tried to brush off as much of the sweet potatoes and possible. The octopus tasted good but was over cooked. My main was the branzino. It was charred to a crisp and full of bones. It did not taste good and was extremely difficult to eat. I did not taste the German chocolate cake for dessert but was told it was dry and people barely touched it. My husband and others are our table got short rib goulash, which was served like a steak with gravy. It wasn't tender like short rib should be. He said the flavor was good at least. The restaurant was definitely busy on a Friday night, and we made a reservation for a 7:45 seating and were taken to our table right away. We loved the play on an old neighborhood bar with the fun red and white glass chandeliers that you would find at any watering hole in the city. Funny enough, we discovered Void via a Tik Tok video and came specifically to try the Agnolotti. This is by far one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. The sweet potato paired with ricotta, kimchi, scallion and toasted sesame are an amazing touch and play on this type of pasta. We additionally ordered both the house made focaccia and the Spaghetti Uh-O's. These two items are definitely what Void is known for, and we loved both of them. The focaccia was super fresh, and the side of butter with honey was incredible. The spaghetti came in a fun little branded can, which of course added a nice touch to the dish. We ordered several cocktails on their menu, and were so full by the end that we did not order the dessert. The staff was super friendly during the entirety of our time at the restaurant. One item we wished we try was the chicken, which happened to be one of the staff's favorite. We will definitely be back to try that soon. Cheers!

Dark moody lighting with warm colored lamps really sets the tone for the meal you are about to eat. Service was incredibly kind and attentive. Everyone's so lovely. The food is exactly what you'd expect - elevated Filipino and overall INCREDIBLE. Here's what we got/my thoughts. Coco ginger daiquiri - 5/5 - really refreshing. You could taste each component of the drink which was fun to experience. Sisig - 4/5 - I'll start by saying I'm really particular about my sisig. For sisig to be a 5 for me, it *has* to be crunchy. And that's the only thing this sisig was missing. For coming out on a sizzling plate, it was a little too wet, even after the sizzling. Despite this though, the flavors were there and they were delicious. Garlic rice - 5/5 - best garlic rice I've ever had in my life. Just get it. That's all I have to say. Pancit canton - 4/5 - if I'm being honest, it's hard to really elevate pancit canton. But this was a good attempt, it just seemed to be missing something to put it over the top. Really appreciated the fresh vegetables with the noodles. Lumpia - 5/5 - like pancit canton, it seems hard to elevate lumpia but they freaking did it. This was so good. The filling was nice and juicy and had great flavor. Kare Kare - 5/5 - Kare Kare was my favorite dish growing up but I've never experienced it elevated to such a high level until boonies. The meat was so tender, cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The vegetables being carmelized was also quite the treat. Didn't realize until after the fact that the sauce isn't made with peanuts, so huge plus that gives our peanut allergic friends the opportunity to experience such an amazing dish. So well done.

This was a great, cozy spot to try a different take on Filipino food. Being a Filipina myself, I'm…read moretorn between labeling it because I feel like some of the dishes are more Filipino-inspired while others are definitely elevated-Filipino. Either way, it's a good place to try a twist on your favorites or dip into something new. I especially appreciated that there were a lot of vegetarian options which is hard to find in Filipino food, like our "veggie" lumpia usually has small bits of meat in it, lol. We were warmly welcomed, seated relatively quickly, and the service was attentive and timely. The place is cozy and on the dark side so my pics aren't the greatest. We had the Inihaw ng Talong which is basically grilled eggplant that came brushed with sunflower butter, loaded with tomatoes and garnished with cilantro. This was a nice start but a small one. The eggplant was smoky and creamy and complimented by the bright tomatoes. The Satti Manok, skewered grilled chicken, with cornbread sticky rice was good, but I've definitely had better for a lot less. This is usually a staple you'll find at any Filipino family's BBQ but the cornbread sticky rice was a surprisingly nice treat. If you've had this before, somewhere else, I'd skip it to try something else. The Sinigang Caesar was such a nice twist that totally made sense! My only complaint is that it was served with Bibb lettuce instead of a crunchy romaine. I enjoyed this so much I've been making my Caesar dressings with a sprinkling of Sinigang powder now and my family loves it. The Kare Kare gulay was nice and I enjoyed it. The charred cabbage gave it some extra depth that I think is needed to pull this off because this sauce is made with sunflower butter instead of peanut butter. This was great for me because I'm allergic to peanuts but it definitely changes the flavor, making it a little sweeter and lighter. I wish they would've made this with cashew or almond butter to keep it closer to the rich, deep flavors of a Kare Kare. The Maitake mushrooms -- I absolutely loved. I've never had this before and it reminded me of a good Laing which is also made with a spiced coconut sauce. I definitely could've eaten this all to myself with the garlic rice. Yes, the garlic rice is good but I was surprised to see it go for $6 a bowl. Rice is usually so cheap, if not complementary in Filipino restaurants and garlic rice is quite common, especially for breakfast (yes, I sabreakfast). It was cooked perfectly though. The mango float was delicious. Not sure why it's called a float but it was mango and mascarpone ice cream nestled in a mango sauce and topped with a delicate, crumbly butter cookie. I will definitely come back for more if I'm ever in the area again. I'd be excited to try other things on their menu.
